FIA GT1 & GT2 World Championship | Pending!

Ok. If people are thinking Gt2 is for the slower guys, it isn't. There's quick guys in there, its based on car performance, not driver ability.
I think many think this. I enjoy driving the corvette more than my zonda, and was thinking next series i might go into GT2

For the people who did not say they weren't racing, i might just make reserves. 5 people couldn't be bothered to say "i don't want to race/can't"
Sorry to go on but its annoying. GT1 has a full grid or close and that has mixed abilities and creates epic battles! GT2 should be the same, there's a mix of drivers all should creates battles across the field.

Im now stuck. Do i make it into 1 series, or hope that GT2 isn't seem like the slow group? Really if your in GT2, and your not trying should you be part of it? Me and fusion will come to a decision before next weekend
 
If GT2 is based on best car make it into a 1 car series! But! Not the chevy or zonda. Then you won't get complaints saying the other has more experience with that car!

So why is there no problem in GT1? In race 1 the top 5 (first 4 laps) were all different cars with different abilities so there all equal.
GT2 most are corvettes. I think there Great and brilliant match for the zonda, just people can't be bothered. Theres 8 corvettes, 3 zonda.
 
I race GT2 i think keep it two series but add more cars
I think you guys can do what is best for the series
I dont want it to turn out like the real gt2 champ.

Low # of drivers is probably the main reason, the formation of two groups isn't something i wanted to see happen because i knew there would be races with only 4-5 people like today. Plus i guess i dont have a lot of patience with GT5 in general these days. I dont have the replay of what happened, but we were neck and neck through the first series of turns. I left him room to clear that little S turn and held my lane on the outside, I know it wasn't intentional but he bumped me enough to put me in the grass. I wouldnt have had a problem if he had slowed to at least acknowledge what had happened, as i would have done the same. Obviously in the real world you dont stop, but i know there are GTP rules in place for incidents like this whether they were malicious or not.

I think it might be an idea to make this into two division's of GT1, at the end of each season the top 2 in division 2 get promoted and the bottom 2 in division 1 get relegated.

Yeah but thats showing gt2 is for slower guys that what they are trying to get rid of.
Why dont we do like a reward system. Take the top two and they modify or build there own car to gt2 specs

Try not to look at it like that. It means you will be racing with people with the same pace as you, so the racing will be closer.
Division 2 would be GT1 cars aswell, so there would be more cars to pick from and less testing to get GT2 cars equal.

Just throwing ideas out there.
 
How about the faster guys get weight penalties
I dont want it to end up like super gt weight rewardbut at parts through the season see you is faster and slow them down
 
Doc - I hear you, and I understand that but people think "GT2 must be for slower guys" or "Division 2 is for the slow guys" Everyone wants to be in the top league because they think its better, when it sometimes isnt

totzke - I dont think we should make the guys which have more talent and pace have a penalty because then its unfair. Its better to know that the guy won because he was fast, in an equal machine to me, rather than just losing/winning to guy with a big penalty weight. Might introduce power loss for top 3 after race 1, for the next series

Subaru - rolling starts are just messy in my opinion and experience, very difficult to get right :dunce:

But I have to sort GT2 out. how many GT2 guys have a GT1 car? If they all do, might do 2 divisions, a qualifying shoot out and then sort them out between divisions 👍
 
I see what you are saying i just dont think gt2 is going to continue with what people are involved so if it does shut down maye combine the two
Qualify-Shootout style X amount of GT1 and X amount of GT1B (maybe a spec series)
Race-prefer rolling start but some tracks arent capible or safe so. Keep everything else the same
If it does continue forget about what i just said
 
I plan, if it is agreed with Fusiion, to make everyone do 2 qualifying laps, no more and than the there put in order. 10 in GT1, and the rest in GT1B (good name) There will be a limit of 12 per league, due to lag, but theres 18 guys, and having 12 in one and 6 in GT1B is pointless.

Qualifying - should everyone use the same car, or there GT1 car?
 
Yeah, maybe higher powered GT2 or GT3 cars that can match the performance of the GT1 cars. Its hard because gt1 is top car and to make cars that arent gt1 match that is kinda hard. One more thing if you look at the GT2 regulations its not to make the car slower as it is to make closer performing cars

Are GT2 cars are matched, Ive done testing after testing and there very close indeed. Each car has advantages and disadvantages. Its too difficult to make every car bang on equal. Talent also plays a lot and driving likes, each car handles differently.

As for making GT2 cars same as GT1, too hard. No point, Corvette and Zonda would have too much power and would be too easy to pass on straights and GT1 probably struggle to overtake in the corners.

Warning CHC --Turn 1 Lap 1

Race 6
IRISHstig17 - 5 second penalty -- Too many times running wide and incident lap 10, turn1 causing drivers to lose time. (Finishes 7TH)
Doc - Moved down to 2nd place, due to tapping Strawman onto grass -- Last lap, straight
 
You know what they say, opinions are like bellybuttons - everyone has one and none of them hold a lot of water but here are my two cents worth;
Qualifying and splitting people into two divisions with the full range of cars to choose from seems like a good idea. Promotion and relegation can then be introduced.
Traction control should be turned off, this would stop people being able to run wide over grass at full throtle and gain advantage.
Spa would be an excellent addition to the season's track list.
No crossing the white line on pit entry or exit.
The faster drivers should not be penalised for being faster.
These are just suggestions to see what people think.

I agree with you.
Qualifying, I am planning on doing this. Everyone use GT1 cars (sorry but bye to the GT2)
TC will be banned. Seen to many people using run offs.
Spa could be added but everyone has to have it, not just the host
Pit exit needs to be looked at, too many cutting it and some stupid pit ins.
Agree with the faster driver stuff.

I agree with almost all of it 👍 However we may have to wait 2 weeks til we race, make this weekend the qualifying for divisons

I have to disagree with my penalty after watching the replay.

You clearly run wide/cut the two corners before the last one and as a result of this you get in my slip out of the last corner.

Also in the last race I was knocked onto the grass and the other driver was given a warning but I get a penalty. (inconsistent)

So as a result of this I have no choice but to drop out of this championship.

I'm not the only person to run wide a few times! But ok. I'll have to defend Doc ! If he tap you wide well like! Their was rubbing by everyone! If he gets a penalty then we should all! Everyone made a but of contact. I'll look at the incident tomorrow as I haven't seen it but if it's only a Tap then that's not fair in my opinion .

Doc555evosti Penalty removed due to being first time incident.
IRISHstig17. Accident in race 2 lap 10, turn 1 when hancoclc "braked check" he did but was not at the braking point, you missed it because you were too busy trying to get passed him missing your braking spot. Hancoclc has been warned, PM'd him. You caused 2 incidents during the weekend. The first one would be a simple warning but you caused another in race 2. Simply not on. You have to be fair and treat drivers were respect.
