Dang! I like all the tracks you have picked! There wonderful. Did GTracer38 quit? I play online with him all the time and didn't know he was running the series. Maybe he won't leave if he knows I have joined.
haha, i love how i got 1 point even though i didn't race XD anyway, sounds like you lot had a great time hopefully i'll be able to stay connected next time, lol.
KUB,
thanks for the reply. I'm using a pad. Also, I just saw on another forum that the LM Spec II comes from winning A-spec>Extreme>Dream Car Series. I have it, but I don't remember where I won it. Hope that helps. I'll be trying a new setup tonight, and seeing how close I can come to 1:41
Hey no problems. I agree wasnt super smooth but Im glad that we had 9/10 people showing up, a strong number. Also Nurb is a very tiny track and places to overtake, so I knew there was going to be contact.KUB, Andy:
Just wanted to say a few things post-race. Firstly, that this was my first time in an organized series, and I wasn't familiar with some of the protocol. I guess I was used to the mindless AI drones the computer offers. This doesn't justify my using the Viper as a battering ram however and for that, I apologize again. I think it was ALThurston who knocked me late in race two then slowed to allow me to regain my place, like KUB mentioned in his post (and did in the race). So thanks Thuorston for that and everyone else for the patience.
KUB: despite the rough start, that was some of the most fun I've had playing GT in months. And despite what anyone else said, it was some fine driving. I look forward to battling for at LEAST third over the next few weeks.
Finally, Andy: speaking of fine driving, you and Doc were untouchable. At times it actually felt like the time difference was equivalent to our time zone difference (five hours). So kudos, but more importantly, howyougosofast?! I found the difference between the spec II ford and the viper was two seconds a lap, even with the limitations, so I switched. I don't have the BMW mclaren or that zonda, so I can't test, but is it that significant a difference? I think I confused toe angle with camber, but does your camber angle make that significant a difference? Do I just stink?! Thanks again. Maybe we will get lucky and have this turn into another series. Good fun.

catlady1000. don't worry mate, I said I'm fine same as I was fine during was and after the race, it's normal, you will always get racing incidents or someone missing the breaking point.
Same here, I've had a great fun, good old times when we've had a league very similar to this one on other website, and funny thing, no matter what opponents I was racing with, I was always coming 3rd
I've raced with Andy couple of times, F1 and GT5 through other website, and he is very quick, very quick, same as doc555evosti.
Its not a secret that if you want to be quick you will have to match 3 things: Setup -> Driving Skills (cornering speed etc.) -> Consistency.
Even if this time I managed to get the Setup actually working for me, especially bigger camber on the front which helped me with very good tracking and higher speed through the corners + anto roll bars and suspension tweaks, I usually struggle in GT5 with setups.
My skills are actually good or even very good, but not amazing, and thats where the consistency plays a big role where I'm quiet good.
I dont really go for overtakes when I'm not sure, as this may ruined mine and your race as well, I would rather wait few more corners until I get the spot for a clear overtake.
My biggest challenge in this league will be a tyre strategy. Because of the car choice and me being a bit hard on tyres, I can't see any other scenario for my self than 2 pit stopo strategy for each race, soft soft hard. So that will put me even up to 30sec behind in each race because of that extra stop, but you know what...bring it on
Did a quick test run with league setting yesterday at Daytona, and so far my first times are around very low 1.41 in a race.
In regards to the time I posted, the 1.41, I'm sure that can be trimmed to at least 1.39 or even 1.38 with Zonda or Jaguar maybe.

Also first time, you did very well 👍 Keep it up
Also Ive found each car has its own strengths. The Corvette has good straight line speed, the Nissan quick around corners, and the Viper is a good car too. If it helps, go online and search for car setups for it. If you cant find any, PM me and i'll get you one 👍 Goes out to anyone needing a setup, just ask and I'll try and help
And im quick because Im a sad person who plays way to much GT5
Yeah saddo! PMSL
If you keep going faster, your going to be the one too beat Glad your enjoying GT5 again 👍Well...I'm going to stick with my GT, it's difficulty to control, but the sound it makes and way it looks is just superb. Never thought about changing the car any way, all I meant was that people with Zondas or Jags will be able to trimmed that time by a lot.
1.5 hour ago I came back from office where I was thinking a lot about the setup for this track, came back home and got straight after dinner on GT5.
With new setup I managed to extend life of soft tyres by additional 2 laps !!!!! (when compared to previous 'good' setup)
Which means that the hard compound is lasting longer as well, therefore I can do 12laps on one set of softs and one set of hards with the same amount of grip what on previous setup with 2 sets of softs.
On top of it car feels much better now after lots of changes and even I managed to improve straight away my fastest race lap times to 1.40.xxx (1.40.365 the fastest one)
oh just writing all over my series!??!?!?
Trolololol mwahahahha!
nitrorocksThe Audi R8 LMS isn't on the list. May I run it? Undecided the Mclaren isn't for me

Okay. I'm still toying around with a few cars.
KUB, I have the Spec II and really had trouble with it. You mentioned having some trouble with the test car (control-wise), but that really doesn't seem to be slowing you down very much. I'm hoping to trim down my lap times tonight--I was happy last night with a low 1:41. Seems now I have a lot of work to do. If we're getting these times, what does that mean for Andy/Doc555 - - 1:19, 1:20? huh boy.
You also mentioned having previously raced with Andy--even some F1. Would you guys be interested in doing another series after the GT3? I know it's a ways out, but maybe we could keep Sundays and a similar set-up (low lap numbers, 10 + racers [if possible], etc.)? Maybe even teams.
I meant to add to that-- F1. Which is why the teams would be great.
Absolutely--it sounds good. Keep me posted.
If you do some laps at Daytona tonight, try to keep it in the 1:30's.
