Hi Andy , just noticed this thread. I'm a bit rust as I only returned to GT5 since the network was hacked last summer , but if you have a space for a reserve driver / new driver I would love to be able to race the CLK-LM .

ok mate :) could you let me check how many drivers are gonna show? sorry im trying to have a limit of 13-14 driver at most :) i believe you can race but i will need to just ask others as not everyone has replied

Andy that's fine mate. I am really happy to be a stand in driver if needed. I just love to be able to race my CLK-LM in an even Le Mans style series :)

Well would like you to race but the bug can happen at anytime and im trying to keep around 12 drivers 👍

Plus no one runs the Merc oddly :confused:
 
I just went testing. I lapped fastest of a 1:40.498 on racing soft and averaged higher 1:40s. On racing medium my best was a 1:41.209. I was Averaging higher 1:41s on racing medium.

hehe, its in bright red letters on the main page. at least you didnt enter the race using mediums. ive yet to do any practice, but will probably put some in today

Times for Daytona

Just did a 1.39.7 on Racing Softs in my Zonda. First lap (with my setup made for track) and then on lap 2 my tyres had gone :dunce:
Its going to be interesting with the long straights and the fast tyre wear to see who comes out on top. Its really about good tyre management this weekend 👍

Looks like this is going to be a good one :D

practicing for the first time today, been busy preparing for my other league. ive only done about 10 laps just trying to get a feel for the car and doing some initial tuning, a 1'40.6 so far. once i get the first turn down and more tuning i should be in good shape for the race. im just a lil burned out today because last nights race was an hour and a half

yeah i did daytona road a few months back in the alms series, its just different with this series because the car has 100 more hp and weighs about the same. after more testing i was able to pull off a 1'39.5 and im loving the balance of the zonda now that its tuned for the most part.

1.39.5's very good for race pace, Im sturggling with my tyres more than the pace

yeah the softs look like they will last around 7 laps maybe? i havent tried hards yet, maybe tomorrow. its just so important not to fish tail when getting on the throttle with these cars and a spin out will eat a good lap off your tires easily

7laps?!?! Bloody hell!!! Im getting 5 tops :scared:
