Which Track Would You Prefer to Race 1st?

Ahhhhhh I totally forgot about this, I was driving home from my gf's between 10pm and 1am so couldn't of made it anyway.

Being in the spot race section is also making me miss info as I never cisit the part of the forum. Hopefully I'll remember for the next one, hop you guys had a good race.
 
The 1st round was pretty spread out, but just like I figured everyone found there pace by race 2, and this is exactly why I choose this format. I know blancpain should be a 300km race straight out and what we are doing is more like FIA GT3 Series, but I want to keep this title for future plans that I have for us. I expect a even bigger turn out for Spa round. So congratz to all we survive rd 1 at Indy which is the hardest to pull off. I will be upgrading the op with race results, and keeping track of our points thru out this 2013 year while we hit all the tracks. See you guys at Spa one of the gtp favorites!!! 👍

I would make this every 2 wks if people wanted but I was planning a GP2 event once a month but between blancpain so we are racing every 2 wks in the future. I will have something up in running by April 14th fellas, so heads up!

So once a month right now for Blancpain nothing the rest of March except seth's 90's series & Little car League and our JSTC and maybe TDZ's if he gets them going?
 
Damn, I was looking forward to running this again sooner. I think I may switch the car up. The NSX doesn't have the feel I'm looking for. It was pretty quick but the Audi definitely has it beat. Turn in on the Audi feels a lot sharper, you can just point it and go. I want to use a car that others aren't using though so I'll probably switch it up and use something that isn't popular.
 
Ok ill set 1 out in 2 wks. The Audi's look great out there running from my replay, I'm glad see some GT2 downforce cars dominating like that I was worried the GT1 cars would pull away ultimately. Nice specing Seth

Ok so I checked the calender and the next offical race date will be *drum roll* March 24th, roughly 2 wks out at Spa. If the drivers are feeling antsy about getting back out there then we can run round 3 for a test session this weekend or next? I can make this weekend more then the next I belive.

I think the Audi is the favorite car. The engine stage 3 really put it up there. It lagged a bit in top end so that's why I thought it would be better. Now it's really fast. I was doing 1:28s at Indy and the Audi's still pulled away. Going to have to use another car to keep pace. The GT1 style cars will be better at the higher downforce tracks. We'll see how it plays out but I have my eye set on a couple of cars that I think people are over looking. I'll do some testing and see which one I go with.
 
Ok, here's what I propose for some little spec adjustments.

NSX-LM 1260kg (-10kg) 470hp (+10hp) no upgrades besides GT Auto Wing
Diablo GT-1 1270kg 460hp (+10hp) engine stage 3
GTR Concept LM 1300kg (+30kg to offset handling advantage) 470hp (+turbo stage 3 for top speed)
GTR R35 TC 1300kg 460hp engine stage 3 (+10hp for top speed)
 
Sounds good to me, how about the RM vette's? I know they achieve good top speed, but I pulled on 1 in race 2 with mt Viper and I was running full downforce. I was thinking 1200kg or 1210kg since they have only GT3 downforce (35/60). Thoughts on this?

If this is the case and we are adjusting some of the cars. I would like the Viper back to the original weight then we might be on a little better pace with the R8's. I'm a bit faster with the R8.

No but after DTM I'm affraid to use that chassis ever again.

Its hard for me to say if the R8's are dominating at all tracks or not. I would wait a couple of races at different tracks before I claim the R8 as the out right dominate car. I'm not going to argue against the Viper being at 1280kg tho, we could use the extra pace and higher corner speeds. Tnt I'm trying to upload race 2's replay to youtube, you got to check it out. Are Team Viper's look great duking it out side by side. It really look like a FIA GT3 event!

1280kg is good with me for the Viper #91. Just needs changing in the OP along with seth's proposal to the other cars. 👍
 
The way we got served I'm down with 1280kg and since TDZ dave is the 3rd Works Team Viper Driver he's around our pace too if we can locate him, hehe. I'm 👍's up too!

I would rather walk down the path of speeding the cars up vs dumbing them down. As the year progresses we'll get better at handling them and naturally want more speed out of them in the long run anyways'

Also if some how we dominate with the small increment of -20kg we can go back to our original weight.

The coolest shot was coming down the straight into the 1st left turn. We definitely had 2 different lines around there. After watching your in dash camera I noticed my car needed more kick out mid turn so I'm going to run a softer rear spring w/ 5pts less downforce and hopefully that will give be better mid corner speed.

  • Sorry guys I fudged up with the dates. We will be racing next weekend March 9th instead of March 24th. I have updated the op already and will send message to Bazzer/Flanked for the date change. 👍

How does this work out for the JSTC though? only 1 hour before were scheduled to start the race there?
 
If were doing it Satruday. But we usually run Sunday's. If were sticking with Sunday it'll be the 10th, not the 9th.

(Updated regulations for ease of use in Room Settings)

Cars with 470hp now = 473hp
Cars with 460hp now = 463hp
Cars with 450hp now = 453hp
Cars with 440hp now = 443hp

Mazda RX8 LM weight now = 1200kg
Chevy RM Corvettes weight both = 1210kg
Dodge Viper #91 weight now = 1280kg

My fault again :dunce: this is definitely on Sundays. I'm going to knock out some laps soon as I get home in a few hrs from now. If anyone is online I will join you!

Acutally its set for March 17th next Sunday.
