Long time since I last posted here on GTP.

So here are my recreations of real life tracks.
Trying my best here !

Circuit du Val de Vienne
This is my home track. It hosts French GT and Touring races, along with bike races.
It's a National level circuit, FIA homologated.
It's 122m off from the real deal.

Queensland Raceway
A simple track but it is loved by Australians.
100m longer than in real life cause I had to make the last turn a bit bigger. Also, the main straight in the creator is too long so the first turn is a bit longer as well.

Dubai Autodrome
This is the GP layout, the longest configuration.
I did this one on Death Valley so it was a bit hard to work without the real track map.
Result : it's 324m longer than the original one.
The last straight is too close to the rest of the track. Should have created the first turn sooner and give me a bit more space to close the track at the end. Watch out for undesired bumps at the start of the last straight. These will definitely send your car flying if you're not careful.

Knockhill
A short track appreciated by many clubs and smaller racing series.
Fast corners culminating in a tight hairpin. I had to make the back straight longer cause the main straight is less than 600m IRL. Ingame track is 78m longer.

Donington National Circuit
Another british track. I remember this one from my TOCA 2 days.
Great fast track. Too bad I couldn't create the elevation changes at the beginning of the track.
Couldn't make the GP section as well due to the Editor limitations but it's OK cause I prefer the National Circuit anyway. It's 69m longer than in real life, mostly because of that last chicane.

Kyalami
Only knew this track by name last week and now that I created and drove it, I can say I love this circuit !
It's only 44m longer than IRL so it's pretty close. Tried to match the real scenery as much as posssible, as always.

Dijon-Prenois
Another french track. This one is very fast with a huge parabolic turn at the end. The main straight is very long as well and cars can reach very high speed before the first turn.
The track hosted the French F1 Grand Prix for 5 years and curiously, the Swiss GP in 1982.
Only 49m off the real thing.

Road Atlanta
A world renowned track that hosts a ton of different categories. This version is 195m longer than in real life. Had to make the first turn much wider because the pit straight is shorter than 600 meters.

Thunderhill
A relatively small club circuit with 2 great turns on top of two steep hills.
Unfortunately, no elevation change in GT6. I chose Eifel Flat but I think I'll do it again in Death Valley. The GT6 track is shorter than IRL.

Circuit Paul Ricard
Probably the most modern circuit in France. The Paul Ricard High Tech Test Track (that's its official name) is a fast sleek circuit in the south of France. Not much competition going on there but a lot of racing teams use it to test their new beasts. About a dozen different layouts are possible. My track is only 17m longer than the real life one.

Circuit du Mas du Clos
Small club track located in France. My version is 400m too long and even though I tried to make it on Eifel to match the elevation, I'm not entirely satisfied as the relief is sometimes too drastic. Your car will most certainly jump at the chicane and that's not right. I'll probably redo it entirely in the future.
EuroSpeedway
OK, this one wasn't very hard but I'm still pleased with it. Only 29m shorter than the real one. Curbs and scenery are as close as possible.
EuroSpeedway GP Circuit
196m longer because of the Maker limitations (wider, longer hairpins). Curbs and scenery match as much as possible as always.
Autodrome de Linas-Montlhery]
Full road course of the Linas-Montlhery Autodrome. Speedway + GP circuit. Almost 10km long.
Ruapuna Park
A national level circuit in New Zeland near Christchurch. Many configurations are possible on this small but technical circuit. Only 71m longer than the real track. GP layout.
Teretonga Park
Small, relatively simple circuit that hosted the New Zealand Grand Prix. You're right, it's not a F1 Grand Prix but it's a race held every year with monoseat cars. 236m too long compared to the real one.
Anneau du Rhin
A small track from the east of France, near the German border. The Anneau du Rhin is a multi layout track, much like the Paul-Ricard circuit but at a smaller scale.
This layout is the fastest and shortest one. It skips the technical section. I made this choice because of the Maker's limitations. Doing it would have make the track much longer than it really is.
Croix-en-Ternois
Another small track from France. It hosts F2000, GT and Formula Ford races. My version is 185m longer. Couldn't do better than that cause the real track is very small (1.9km).
Tours City Street Circuit
My first fantasy track. I wanted to create a street circuit based on my hometown, Tours, in France. It is based on real roads in the city center. I tried to use wide enough roads to keep a realistic feeling but it's not always easy in an old medieval town. If I give it another shot, I may export the racetrack to the outskirts, more modern districts around the city.
This track is 2.48 miles long.
Circuito de Jerez
Every year, F1 teams start their preseason testing here. Jerez hosted the Spanish and european GP in the 80's and 90's. My version is only 31m longer than the real track. Pretty satisfied with this one.
Zhuhai International Circuit
I didn't really know this track before but I believe it's the most active chinese track there is today. It hosts lots of different categories, from FIA GT to monoseaters and endurance racing. Only 35m too long from the real deal.
