'Jurassic Park 4' To Begin Shooting Next Year?
22 February 2006 (WENN)
Director Steven Spielberg will reportedly begin filming the fourth installment of Jurassic Park next year. The Munich director is also currently getting ready to resurrect the Indiana Jones franchise with Harrison Ford later this year. Producer Frank Marshall confirms the script for the next version of the dinosaur epic has been finalized: "It has a good script now, so we should have that one up and running next year, for release in 2008." The character of Lexie, the granddaughter of Sir Richard Attenborough's character, is expected to be the lead role in the new film, according to Moviehole.net.

Should be alright I think, although it is getting a little old. I will keep you posted on developments

Some other movies in development
Scary Movie 5 (2008)
Star Trek XI (2008) (Matt Damon as Cadet James T Kirk???)
Halo (2008)
Die Hard 4 (2007??)
Indiana Jones 4 (2008)
Futurama (2007) (may not happen, last updated 2005)
The Terminator 4 (2008)
Sin City 2 (2007) and 3 (2008)
The Punisher 2 (2007)
Get Smart (2006)
Mortal Kombat: Devastation (2007)
Captain America (2009)
28 Weeks Later... (2007) (yes a sequel)
Knight Rider (2008)
Prince of Persia: Sands of Time (2007)
Tekken (2007)

This is just a random selection from the first 2 pages of in pre-production/production films

They haven't even started the filming yet? Why do you torture me, gooster? It's way too early! :indiff: :D

I'm actually very happy to hear of the new Jurassic Park. Huge fan. Spielberg's directing it, so I have high hopes for this one. :)

Die Hard 4 (2007??) - I recently saw the first 3(in a row). They weren't as good as I remembered. I hope this one's good though, I love Bruce.
Indiana Jones 4 (2008) - First 3 were all good to great, so I hope this one's no different.
The Terminator 4 (2008) - As bad as T3 was, they left us hanging in the end, so I do look forward to seeing this. Since the "Terminator" dies in T3 like he does in every Terminator movies, and Schwarzenegger pretty much retired from Hollywood, this one won't have Arnie in it, right?
Sin City 2 (2007) and 3 (2008) - 2 & 3. I did like the first one a lot, but I'll probably rent these two.
28 Weeks Later... (2007) (yes a sequel) - Oh... My... God... Yes! Yes! Yes!
Knight Rider (2008) - I recently almost bought a DVD Set of Season 1, but I got to see the first episode, before I bought one. Phew! That was close.

Aye aye aye, more proof Hollywood has run out of ideas and must resort to games or sequels....

Scary Movie 5 is a little far.
Terminator 4, Star Trek IX, Jurassic Park IV, and Scary Movie 5 are just more ways to milk a good movie. I'll like JP4 given Steven will be working with it.

Die Hard 4...I saw that reported back in 2004. Mortal Kombat and Tekken movies? Um, didn't the Mortal Kombat movies from before suck at the box office.

Hitman is a movie I'm looking forward to, based on the Hitman game series.

Too bad Vin Diesel is to play agent 47, the real voice actor for Hitman games even looks like the agent 47 character, big disappointment they went with a Hollywood known actor. :(

Also looking forward to

Die Hard 4
Jurassic Park 4
Indiana Jones 4
The Terminator 4 (alot of fours)
Knight Rider

You're looking forward to a Knight Rider movie? interestiing. I loved the series when I was a kid, but I can't see how it would make a good flick. But, I've been wrong about that kind of thing before.

I guess that David Hasselhoff is starring in the movie, but I wonder what car is going to be used as the KITT(which made apperance in the "Benchwarmers" ).

While searching for that info:
Wiki
Some fans believe that KITT was constructed with a Cylon brain that crashlanded in Earth in the 1980s. It's should be noted that Glen A. Larson, creator of Knight Rider, is also creator of Battlestar Galactica. Larson has stated that the two shows have nothing in common. KITT was not made with reverse engineered Cylon technology. He simply reused the scanning light for KITT because he liked the effect.

I don't really expect Knight Rider to be a good movie but I am looking forward to what they do with it.

Will it keep that 80's style that I grew up and remember seeing on the TV ( I didn't watch it all that much though), or will they go with a modern version of Knight Rider.

Just like I don't really expect Terminator 4 to be that good either (unlike the first two), but I am interested in what they will do with it.

I do it to torture you, there are many more good ones in the works, but I will leave that for a later update...

(such as...
Rainbow Six (2008)
Max Payne (2007)
Fahrenheit 451 (2007) (A remake)
and....
*drumroll*
Baywatch (2006) (I am 100% serious))

As for T4, there is no word as yet as to who will be in it. C2 is keeping very quiet about it so far.

I may change this thread into a 'teaser thread to torture moviegoers'

I'm still a big fan of the JP series, JP1 and JP2 being my favorites. I've been following the JP4 production for a while, and I'm still a bit confused as to how things are going to work out.

From what I understand, JP4 was going to take parts of JP1 and JP2 from the books that weren't in the movie, and make them into a whole new thing. The story line origionally was going to be that some of the dinosaurs had made it off of the island and onto the Costa Rican mainland, and that a trip had to be made back to Isla Nebular (aka JP1) to do some sort of rescue/research/destroy mission.

...I just want the T-Rex to be the bad guy again, I hated the watchacallit in JP3...

It was a Spinosaurus and was more of a dinosaur suited to eating fish than other dinosaurs.

I wasn't a fan of JP3 (I liked the first two), but I'm looking forward to JP4.

Also, I think it would be interesting to see Futurama not as a cartoon. But that's just me.

Edit: Did I just call it "the JP3?"

I liked the third one.......... Second one was alright, but what really saved it for me was Vince Vaughn. 👍

Fahrenheit 451 (2007) (A remake)
and....
Well, at least it would be hard to outsuck the original. It was interesting, but I didn't care for it.

BTW: Halo is supposed to be out Summer '07, with the game comming shortly thereafter. Unless there was a production delay I don't know about, Bungie continues to point twards '07.

According to 20th Century Fox, they expect it to be released in 2008.

As you can see, production is due to start in September, I believe that there was some issues revolving around the $10M sale of the script to 20th Century Fox.

Also Denzel Washington to play Master Chief

Futurama will be animated. With the same voice actors.

See, that really ruins the the "mystery" of Master Chief. We're not supposed to know who he is.

I didn't know that! I have only played Halo once or twice against my brother. I have no idea about the storyline or characters, although I gathered that Master Chief was the main character...

I've never played it. :D :guilty: But yes, he is the main character.

I thought Marvel was making Iron Man before they started Captain America. They just started funding their movies alone.

Yes, you are correct, Iron Man is scheduled to be released on May 2, 2008

This is apparently the 'official' movie poster as announced my Marvel Enterprises and New Line Cinema

There is another one floating around the net somewhere that advertises 2006, but that is an old poster, that was used before various delays delayed production (ie. the script wasn't ready...)

I wanted to put some more info on other In Development and In Production films, however IMBd Pro seems to be having some server issues right about now, so i will get back to you all with more later!

I highly doubt you're in any position to make a such a comment given a script hasn't even been shown.
Fine, just don't complain to me when it turns out to be a total suck-fest :D

The current trend is looking rather forboding, though...

It's cool though, it will be your opinion and I can respect that when (and if) it comes out.

Anybody but me know they're doing a movie about the ol' show Dallas? It's going to have John Travolta in it.

Sorry for the double post.
Wow, lot of sequels, strange "movies" and remakes supposedly coming for 2007 reported by IMDB.
American Pie 5: The Naked Mile
AVP2
The Butterfly Effect 2
Dirty Harry
The Dukes of Hazzard: The Beginning (Wtf?)
Fahrenheit 911 1/2 (again, wtf?)
Fantastic Four and the Silver Surfer (Has a cast supposedly).
Ghost Rider (this sounds like a remake....)
Godzilla: 3D to the Max
GTA IV was listed under movies,
Hamlet
Hawaii Five-O
Hellboy 2: The Golden Army (also reports a Hellboy TV show).
Hostel: Part II
Johnson Family Vacation 2
Kameo (literally, it says a 2007 movie).
Police Academy (another one?)
Prey (no info)
Prince of Persia: Sands of Time (I've heard somethings about this turning into a movie trilogy)
Psycho Cheerleaders ( )
Reno 911! Miami
The Ring 3
Rush Hour 3 (So many reports since 2004)
The Sandlot 3
Spy Hunter: Nowhere to Run (Stars the Rock like the game)
The Story of Jesus for Women ( )
Wolverine

I doubt 90% of these movies will actually be made.
2008 "Films"
Adventures in Babysitting (Remake)
Far Cry
Flash Gordon (Would be a remake, correct?)
Madagascar 2 (Famine would love this to happen, :D)
Metal Gear Solid (Confirmed right?)
Pet Shop of Horrors (Remake)
Puss in Boots (A milker movie if made)
Rainbox Six
RPM (2 guys race around Europe)
Scary Movie 5
Sin City 3 (Obviously untrue for now)
The Smurfs (Why?)
Speed Racer (Wouldn't be surprised)
Terminator 4
Toy Story 3 (Again, wouldn't be surprised)

It is currently in casting, and yes John Travolta is starring in it, along with J-Lo :yuck:

3-Wheel Drive
JP4 will suck, no questions asked. Why? Just look at the last two...
:indiff:

Yup. I totally agree. It's going suck hard.

Now something that shouldn't be made a sequel, but I'm really surprised hasn't. Godzilla. I remember walking out of the Cinema when I first saw it, and saying 'There'll be a sequel next year'. That was 8 years ago!
