Finally got my GT5 setup

So after years of waiting I finally got my setup ready.

Playseats evolution, G25, Samsung 1080p 40" LCD, PS3, and GT5P.

It's a blast, and I've breezed through A and B events in the first couple of nights with it.

However, I became determined to get gold in the B class GTR high speed ring event. It took me almost two hours to get silver, and barely at that, 1:14.9xx.

How am I supposed to get gold? There are three more seconds to shave.

I completed 100% of GT3 with just a dual shock. Is GT5P harder? Or is the G25 harder than using the dual shock, since gas and brake can be switched faster with buttons? Or maybe I am just old and rusty now.

It's usually a corner I am attacking wrong that shaves a few tenths here or there, I am just not sure how I am supposed to get three seconds off this.

I turned off ASM and that helped a bunch, traction control didn't seem to make a difference (AWD after all), professional physics.

I switched to paddle shifters, since I was faster with them, and that's all the GTR offers anyway.

I guess I could put on standard physics, but that seems like cheating.

Any tips would be appreciated.

that's awesome. I'm still with my coffee table and my good ol' DFP from '05. haha.

Practice is all the advice I can give. And yes, G25 is WAY easier than the DualShock.

Enjoy!

OK, if the G25 is easier than the controller then I must have really gotten rusty. I suppose it has been six years since I completed GT3, and I only played GT4 a little before getting bored with it.
