Finally no more rotation dealership for Standards!

There was no mileage system in GT2, so the different prices were essentially random; but that is probably what they were trying to evoke.

Ah you're right, haven't played it in years.
But i still remember me when that game came out checking japanese dealership searching a decent used car, it was a nice system.
Never liked the ucd in gt4 and gt5, i haven't tried a lot of cars because of that and i'm surely not going to miss it.

Considering how awful GT5's system was set up (30 cars at a time out of 830 that rotate daily; with horribly inflated prices, unrealistic mileage and no correlation between age and their appearance in the UCD since it really was just a Standard dumping ground) and how few cars could really be stretched to be considered "new" based on the car list thus far, I don't see this as anything but a bonus. There were very much ways that PD could have made buying used cars far more user friendly and logical (for example, making it a car dealer for old cars rather than poorly model cars), but "no more used cars" would kill a lot more cynicism from people burned by GT5's system than "improved used car system" would.

I agree that GT5 system was awful implemented but I fear for the total removal of the used car dealer on GT6.

They should do it like GT4 perhaps? Then have "brand new" versions in the regular dealerships, at a higher price.

A total absence of an used car dealer will make a lot of people... sad. (not that I can't live without it, but damn, i'll need to put all those mileages by myself, and high mileage cars have a bit more soul than brand new ones imho)

And with what looks like the damage being stuck to your car until you repair it, buying beaten up cars a la NFS Porsche Unleashed would be superb! (PD could really do a cool thing with this)

Another idea would be something similar to what Rockstar been doing with their stock market in GTA5.

If people are buying more older Ferraris, then they will rise up their value... something like that. Dynamic prices according to what people buy most would be interesting.

But again, a good and clever used car dealer system together to the regular car dealer where you can buy *almost* all cars (except some rare prize cars?)

Or having some of the used cars sometimes having modifications done to them, as also happened in Porsche Unleashed (and Tokyo Xtreme Racer Drift 2).

Definitely!

One thing that later GTs lack completely is customized cars for the AI, used car dealer, etc!

I only remember GT1-2 having opponents with more powerful cars. That damned Tuned Turbo Cup @ Test Track on GT2. Some awesome beasts raced there.

Thank god I have GT2 running on my PSP. Fun times. (ok, I'm going OT here...)

They could be reverting back to the Dealership specific Used cars like they had in previous GTs.

I am honestly really worried that this won't be the case. I really want dealership specific used cars to return. It's one of GT's uinque staple.

If this isn't the case, that it would feel like GT3 again. I can't explain why I would miss used car dealership so much, but I really want it to return.

GT3 & GT4 definitely had tuned A.I. cars. I remember watching the preview of the Turbo Sports (or whatever it's called) race in GT4 and there was an Eclipse GT with 439 hp (almost double its original HP) with a Sports or Semi-Racing exhaust. It was crazy fast; it could reach its top speed within 15 seconds.

Edit: There should be a separate thread just for this

Great, but I would like some kind of indicator of which is premium/standard, perhaps a 'P' when you actually select a car and choose a paint color for it. Then again, maybe it will be obvious just by looking at the windows or rims.

Really... i honestly don't think so

Enter (I think) the European Championship in the Extreme Events hall and listen to the exhausts on most of the AI cars for the most obvious example. They aren't stock.

And in GT4 the Opel Speedster Cup series had AI opponents with cars tuned beyond what you could actually achieve when you built up a car; and that wasn't the only example of that happening.

I know in Four we did have tuned AI, but I doubt five did... SO much would be better if one makes had cars tuned like yours.. Do a one spec in a zero zero zero car and its pack racing , do it after an oil change and you have a clear advantage, now do it with a tuned car and its just sad..

You're right! 👍 Just remembered seeing a Ferrari 458 and a Gallardo in some of the races with upgraded exhausts.

But it would be cool to have their power shown in the pre-race screens, like GT1.

A return to GT2's dealership specific used cars would definitely be a good idea, GT4's era-specific used car system worked nicely too, otherwise (if every single car can there isn't some sort of folder system in place), the Nissan dealership is going to be 20-page fustercluck of nigh-identical GT-R's, Sylvias etc.
