After about three weeks of playing a little each day I finally finished the A,B,C,and S races. Now I am wondering what you all do until PT5 is released other than play online. I am new to this game and forum and also hooked. Thanks beforehand for suggestions.

Register for the WRS that runs once a week here (go to Weekly Race Series sub forum). Other than that, I barely played GT5P anymore.

same predicament. Finished this evening. Is it worth doing it all over again with pro physics and manual transmission?

Things to do:

1. Learn how to drift
2. Complete all races with pro settings (yes, it's VERY different)
3. Go and get any golds you missed
4. Use lower-powered cars to win races
5. Do all the dealer events (see FAQ)
6. Race online
7. See if you can get into the top 100 on the online timetrials

....plenty more yet.

Many thanks to all of you for great input. Working through the classes I did use manual transmission for all and pro physics on most cars. Also accomplished gold on most events. Working now on cleaning the rest up. I have raced online and found it fun but seemed to be a lot of bumper car drivers competing which was not much fun along with jerky motion of other cars. When I have some free time next week I will check out the WRS you spoke of. Love this website and all the nice and interesting ideas. I just
turned 60 but still enjoy this kind of stuff and also drive high performance sports cars in real life. Nothing more fun than going fast! Thanks again for all the help.

Which events don't you have gold on?

Mine are:

B8
A3, A8
S6, S7, S8, S10
Dealers: TVR and 'Vette (using untuned cars only for dealers)

all above silver except for S6. Currently working on gold for A3.

If you're going to sign up for the WRS I suggest you try to have each car in the game. Never know which car they'll be using a particular week. Also try just using S2 tires as majority of weeks are ran with S2 tires

There's months and months of fun with doing time trials. There is a leaderboard for each car/circuit combination; 12 tracks X 74 cars = 888 ! Whether you're trying to make the top 100 for each, top 10, or even No.1, it's very challenging, and great for improving technique.

Select a car, go to 'Arcade' from the menu, select a circuit and select 'time trial'.

TTs are interesting...I basically get into the top 100 and then stop. Easiest so far has been three laps and I'm in, some others I'm still working after many, many sessions. The F430 @ Daytona Road is a difficult one as is M3 @ reverse Eiger.
