First 100 Million to Spend at Hagerty’s

I’m looking for recommendations aside from just the “Group Cars” at Hagery’s to budget what to buy. I’m sitting on 100 million credits and have no idea when I’ll have time again to earn enough for large purchases after spending. Because it’s so easy to drop this much on a small handful of cars I’m hoping to not miss out on some real gems I don’t know about.

Obviously everyone has different interests and motivations for collecting cars so I’ve narrowed down what I’m looking for based on ANY of the following
  • Performance: Strong within a particular pp category (eg. Escudo Pikes Peak)
  • Usefulness: Multi-role or does well in some high payout races (eg. Mazda 787b)
  • Uniqueness: Different/Interesting/Fun to drive (eg. Chaparral 2J, McLaren MP4/4, Mazda RX 500)
I extracted info from the work that Samus & Famine obviously spent a great deal of time on and pieced together a couple lists for myself. I figured might as well share them in the event anyone else finds them useful for some purpose.
  • The first one is just all of the current legendary cars and prices separated from BC & Used.
  • The second totals the prices from a small collection of all the “Group Cars, “Engine Swaps”, “Extra Menu Cars”, “Legendary Trophy” and a small handful of others I considered really unique or interesting (where I’m hoping to add more that others’ recommend.
For my own purposes I started rating just a few of them with asterisks; 1 for recommended, 2 for really good and 3 for “must buy/don’t miss”

Thanks in advance for any suggestions

Because it’s so easy to drop this much on a small handful of cars I’m hoping to not miss out on some real gems I don’t know about.
The only "must have" lcd car in my opinion is the 787b: it can be used in different races, is very fuel efficient and has a nice top speed.
The other lcd cars are kinda "nice to have" and not very useful for the existing races but are fun in custom races or time trials :D

Can say much since I don't own many of those cars but from what I read and seen on the forum this would be my top 5 I would buy if I have that much money to burn.

Base on Performance, Usefulness, Uniqueness

1. Mazda 787B
2. McLaren F1 GTR Kokusai Kaihatsu
3. Suzuki V6 Escudo Pikes Peak Special
4. Ferrari 330 P4
5. Porsche 917K

:)

Regarding usefulnes and performance, buy every Gr1 car: 787B, R92CP, 962C, Sauber, XJR-9. All are amazing to drive with the right setup. Also, CLK-LM is unbeliavable, a must buy for 800PP races.

Other than that, F40 is fabulous at 700PP, 330 P4 also, 155 TI for daily races, Alpine A220.

Maserati Merak is out of this world for 600PP, handles like a dream with Praiano tune on SS. I would also go for Skyline and Supra GT500 and set them up for 730PP Gr3 races.

Escudo is horrible to drive, I hope I won't ever have to drive it again :)

I'd just buy them all as they arrive in LCD tbh. Basically have several months before full rotation completes, so you'll make the funds reasonably 'organically' in interim anyway.

Same goes for invites, buy them right away, as god knows how long til you get another chance.

This is assuming you want to own every car at some point and don;t want to buy 5 of each for various stages of tuning.

Brand central cars are generally very cheap and can be bought/earnt immediately , or even won on roulette, by doing a couple of the best paying races if desperate to get it in at any stage.

F40, F50, F1, F1 Long Tail (Gr.2), Miura, GT40 Mk1, Porsche GT1 (though I couldn't pay 9m for that car, not after getting it for 3m... It's an awesome car though)
CLK LM, anything Gr. 1, 917k, Countach. Those are the pricey cars I'd be targeting, though it's really subjective. Like the '84 GTO is a fine car, but I never use it.

Some of the cheaper ones are great, like the Merak SS, Celica Rally that's in there now, GT2000, A220...

As B80 said, I'd just start buying them all as you get the credits. The only ones I really regret spending on are the Alfa 8c and Barker S, but that's only because PD hasn't added any content that would fit these cars. With the inclusion of all the mid-50's racers you'd think they had big plans to have a historic car series centered around those old Porsche's/Ferrari's/Mercedes/Jaguar/etc that live in the 500-550pp range, but this game is clearly still in beta so who knows if there will ever be content appropriate for most of the LCD cars.

The cars you will make more use of are the Alfa Romeo 155 2.5 V6 TI, for everything gr. 4 related.
All the Gr. 1 cars are great, every one of them have their strongs.
The Gr. 2 McLaren and Mercedes CLK are pretty pricey, but the most fun.
The 90s GT500 Supra and Skyline are great value for money too.
Apart from that, don't forget the "Holy Trinity" needed to the "Three Legendary Cars" trophy, the Ford Mk IV, the Jaguar XJ13 and the Ferrari 330 P4.
Also the Porsche Spyder 550/1500 RS is needed to the Extra Menu 9.

Apart from that, don't forget the "Holy Trinity" needed to the "Three Legendary Cars" trophy, the Ford Mk IV, the Jaguar XJ13 and the Ferrari 330 P4.
Is there a specific time interval for these cars to appear again? I need the Jaguar and the Ferrari.
