First Car&Track Combo You Gonna Run

I might switch from the R32 @Sugo to the V8 Supercar @Bathurst. V8s are on this weekend and I'm hoping for a real world livery(on XBONE). Plus, it'll be the week after the start of the Enduros and I'll be hyped. Add to that, it's a retro round. So, the cars will be best dressed in retro livery and heritage touring cars will also be there. I'll make my decision then.

After watching all the videos I think no matter what I decide to run first I am going to end up like

New answer.

Outside of career mode I like to replicate whatever current race weekends are happening around the world. The weekend that the game releases is IMSA at Laguna Seca so that would be LMP2, GT3, and GTE. But that's just the main race. I will also do the Porsche Cup Challenge, Lamborghini Super Trofeo Series, and Continental Tire which I'll use GT4 and TCR or something.

First car Jaguar XJ220 S TWR (Tom effin' Walkinshaw Racing bebe!!!) :dopey: Probably on Monza or the Green Hell.

Oh my effin' GAWDDDDD this game looks incredible :mischievous:

Shame we can't do a Sandown 500. :sly:

Can't decide between the Mini Rallycross car at Lydden Hill, 63' Lotus Climax at the snowy Nordschleife, or the 66' Mustang at California Highway (MURICA). Whatever it'll be I'll have the world's largest grin! :D Hehehehehehehehehehe

As a huge fan of Prototypes, its been an absolute head wreck deciding which car I want to take out for my first drive . At the minute it's boiling down to either the Ligier JS P3 or the Ginetta G57 on the newly included Algarve Circuit.

I love the way the LMP cars look but cockpit view is such a pain. You can't see a damn thing on the right of the screen. They need to seriously work on their A-Pillars because it's a well known downside to driving those cars in real life and in games.

Just realized game will be ready on steam just after midnight, so i´ll probably have to choose a few combos before going to bed just to get a taste.

Nissan R390 at Daytona Road

and

Skyline Silhouette at Sugo

Will be my picks for the first night.

Every day I think about what I will do first in the game, which track, which car, which function to test first, which discipline to start in career mode etc. and the list of trophies gave me a great idea, I'll start by trying to win all the simpler trophies in the following order:

Winter Soldier
He drove a clean lap around the Nordschleife in the snow in less than 8 minutes

Advanced Experience
Completed an event in a Mercedes car at the Mercedes-Benz Driving Events Ice Track 2

Hunting For Grip
He drove a clean lap around Fuji in stormy conditions, in less than 2 minutes

Viva Ferrari
drove 4 Ferrari cars, around Imola

Car Zero
Raced by 4 laps in the Lamborghini Veneno around the Red Bull Ring GP

Straight Six
drove a Porsche 911 GT1-98 at 24 hours from the Le Mans circuit for 24 minutes with a 60x time progression.

Snap Snap Snap
Took a photo in photo mode

The results are in, you are clean!
Finished 1st in an online race in 5 laps without making contact

Made an Online
completed his first online race

I'm just to watch
An online race in progress as a spectator

Can I ask you something?
used the race engineer in the Adjustment Setup and made changes based on his recommendations.

This Is The Start
Created a new driver in Career and signed his first contract

I will go old school.

1952 Mercedes-Benz 300SL

1971 Mercedes-Benz 300SEL 6.8 AMG

Oschersleben Motorsport Arena

Plenty of time to race against those LMP boys later.

For me it's going to be Knockhill with the Formula Rookie.
I used to go there for the touring cars in the mid-late '90s, and to see what its like from behind the wheel of the cars I used to watch race there is going to be cool.
Then I'm off to try something in the snow....

I'll probably just do a couple of laps at Brno (because I raced there IRL once) with a Clio to test my wheel.

After that I'll jump into career mode with the Ginetta Junior and race wherever that takes me. I enjoyed the British race tracks in PCars1 with the Ginetta, but it's awesome that the career mode now also has other track region options. :)

Ford GT GTLM but I don't know which track yet. I've seen this car race in person at Road Atlanta and I want to see how well SMS has replicated the sound of that car.

Portimão.
As much as I'm tempted by this, I'll try to resist and go with a familiar track instead.

That way I'll be able to concentrate on the new physics and FFB, instead of being distracted by a new layout.

When I get the hang of the new model and everything's set to my taste, I'll then surely move on to Portimão.

I've always done this with every game - try a new car on a new track. But your decision might be the best if you want to get to know the physics and tune the FFB asap. I'll just try to have fun while doing that with my fav combo. I'm not in a hurry. :)

In all seriousness, I'll probably see what the Opel is like to drive because TCR. Track? No idea. Maybe Knockhill.

Will definitely become Jake Wiltbason and drive the #18 Coyne around somewhere. Could be Indy, Texas or The Glen.
In fairness, I'm undecided between TCR and the 18/19/63 Coyne.

Not sure on what car I would drive. But whatever I choose, it'll be on Road America, since I live about 2 1/2 hours away from there.
