Got the game today(PS3) and I am loving it. Only been able to play it for a few hours so far but I really can't see why everyone is moaning about the graphics and frame rate. I have only had one noticeable frame rate drop and that was while driving through the pit lane so it didn't bother me at all. As for the graphics, they aren't the best ever but they could be so much worse. I'm only using a cheap Alba 19" TV connect to my fat PS3 (80gb) by a cheap HDMi cable and It looks the same as 2010 (except for the lack of puss filter, thank god). I have however noticed some minor screen tearing in the sky in China (but only in FP2 for some reason) but again, this didn't bother me as it doesn't affect the gameplay which is excellent :) Really glad I picked it up now (and for only £35) as I was a little worried after seeing what some people were putting on here and the CM forums about the frame rate being poor. But now I see it's just a bunch of moaners exaggerating the tiniest of drops in frame rate and really exaggerating about the quality of the graphics. Yes there are much better looking games out there, but there's also a lot worse. And after all, IMO, the graphics are the least important part of the game.

The reason your not experiencing frame rate issues must be your small tv? I'm using a 42" and its pretty bad on almost every track.

Yeah someone on the CM forums said the same thing (although about the graphics). I have seen people claiming it's down to different TV's and am soooo glad it only seems to be bigger TV's :) Must suck for you guys with bigger TV's though. Especially as 2010 looked great on my parent's 32". Will have to try 2011 on it some time to see the difference.

^^^Just see the Xbox version to notice how bad the PS version is.

Or don't if you want to avoid disappointment.

Yea I need to try it on my 32" and see if it makes a difference

Yeah I've seen the 360 version and the graphics are better but tbh I don't care as long as the gameplay is good. Which it is :)

Love the dynamics in racing. Did Melbourne 100% yesterday, started out in the driving rain. The car was a handful (Williams) but managed to take it safely to the first pitstop. Around that time the track dried up enough to change to dry tires. Sadly I didn't change them so got the intermediates on a dry track :(

After a second change raced full speed through the dry and managed 6th place :)

The racing is awesome, makes you forget about the minor graphics issues.
AI are good and mostly fair opponents. All in all a very good racing game!

Hasn't anyone noticed the rediculous amount of input lag in this game. I have both 2010 and 2011 and both have only been played for about an hour max due to this issue.

Sit stationary on the track in neutral, and blip the throttle. You can basically blip full throttle and be back to zero with the pedal before the engine blips in the game......I cannot excuse that.

I don't know if this is the case with the steering inputs as it's much harder to verify, but there is no excuse for controller lag. How do you react to oversteer etc with throttle modulation if you have lag in the throttle???

2010 had the lag but all the reviews I'd read for 2011 say it was a much better game. So I bit and got shafted by a sub-par product......

What system are you playing on? And no, I havent noticed input lag because I don't have any input lag with the game.

I play on

PC: Windows 7 64bit, G27.

PS3.......with a Logitech DFGT.....

Big-time input lag on the throttle for sure.......I can't stand it.

Did you leave the wheel settings on default? Minus the button config, of course. I haven't had any issues so far.

Haven't touched a thing with the wheel settings......

Well, you might want to change the saturation / deadzone anyway. The game might've set something wrong.

Oh, Hood sent out a tweet regarding the issues. *golfclap*

Patch 2 is intended to have more of a noticeable improvement and we'll be looking at FPS/Gfx issues esp for PS3 users

On a side-note - it can only get better.
