I guess it was probably Forza 3 then GT5

Not sure what the appeal is of GTA I personally never cared for that series.

PRE-Order means you pay some small amount of money and then wait for game to be released, then you pay rest for it.

Is that right?

If. A - Yes - then I've never did that.
If. B - No - then almost every-time ill wait for game and buy it after launch day. I never support companies not knowing if it's worth it.

But i did pre-order PS4. I payed equivalent of 32,39$ or 20,17£ so hopefully during launch day i could take my PS4 with me. 👍 52 days left

In my country it's normal to have a completely free (pre)order and pay the article at day of shipment or afterwards.

I see the system you describe as kinda foolish. No offense, I'm just used to have a free order for that sort of products.

Showing my age a bit here but first for me was GTA San Andreas. This was back in the day when you had to actually go to the store to pre order and go back to pick it up

And I think i've only ever pre ordered about 4 games in my life.

It depends on where you pre-order.
If you do it from a store then they are ordering a copy for you and they want a small deposit.
If you do it from a website they will generally bill your credit card the day of shipment.

Gran Turismo 4. Ordered it through Kays in 2003 and kept getting updated each time it was delayed. When they didn't deliver it on the day of release, I went and bought a copy from Tesco while the pre-ordered copy arrived a day later. Posted it back to the retailer the next day after two years of waiting.

The only other game I pre-ordered was GTA V. That turned into a farce when GAME couldn't track my order.

Soul Calibur II, when you preordered it. You get the Artbook for free...I sure miss that game.
