Fisherman’s Ranch Q’s (3rd place, name, tune)

First off, hi! Been lurking for a while (thank you for the XJ13 thread, reminded me a little of this comedy gold), but as Fisherman’s Ranch has basically become my second home I had to make an account and ask a couple of questions. Not here to discuss the state of the game, plenty of other threads for that!

After doing the race I don’t know how many times I just noticed there’s a reward for 3rd place, which is impossible with a starting grid of 2/2 right? If I were PD, I would have trolled us even harder than they already have, and made the reward for getting 3rd 500k or something silly.

Also I get the ranch part of the name, but fisherman? I’ve tried to look out around at the surroundings while mindlessly driving but can’t see any water. Am I overthinking it and that’s just what it’s called, or am I missing something?

Where would be a good place to find a tune for the Focus GrB? Seen a few for different cars, just not the Focus. I’m hopeless at tuning.

Oh and is there anywhere it shows you how many races you’ve done and/or won at a certain track? Just asking so I can avoid it at all costs so I never have to see how many times I’ve gone round the ranch.

Yep. I also found it hilarious - I was tempted to make a meme out of it, but didn't because time.

Well... there is actually a reason for it, but it's nothing to do with water or fish at the circuit itself...

I just threw a med turbo on it for grinding. It's overkill, but more fun to drive.

Yep exactly the same here lol, just thought a tune might eliminate some of the frustration in the randomness of the jump landings when the car decides it wants to do a few barrel rolls.

I was gonna say ah so it's just a fisherman who also owns a ranch, how boring. But a worm rancher is much better. So a guy buys god knows how many thousand square miles in the american outback, to farm worms for his fishing business. Then proceeds to create a rally circuit with silly physics right in the middle of the ranch. IGN - 9/10

Dear god I've just skimmed the poopshow that is the threads relating to the new update, wow.... On one hand I'm glad i grinded so much, but on the other hand, now I feel invested in the game and actually have credits so I don't want to get a refund. Defo gonna join the social media blasting of them tho. What a joke.

Sounds like a homage to a tactic of luring the players with a bait in order to spend more money on hard-to-reach content.
