FITT American Classics Shootout - Winners announced! Congrats NEWDRIVER2 and Motor City Hami!

It doesn't matter to me anymore. The attitudes of some tuners are self-defeating and I'm no longer interested in spending the time and credits to help people like you, iainoflo85.

That's fine by me, there's plenty of testers already.

I'm sure the tuners you mentioned will be happy to help the rest of the testers, though so thanks for bringing that to everyone's attention.

would it be ok if I resubmit my entry? When I copy/pasted my template I forgot to change the tire type and list the brake upgrade
If it isn't correct go ahead and edit it in. I see you posted it again, please make sure both match or delete the one that isn't linked. Testers please make sure you note the correct settings.

Tuners, let me know either here or via PM if your tune includes oil change. I will mark the listings of those that have changed oil to see if that helps.

Am I the only one to build a Trans Am? This could be bad lol

For future reference, are we allowed to both enter a tune and be a tester, or is this considered a conflict of interest?

I didn't realise it was possible to edit posts(forum noob)!
I have put the correct details in my original post (including oil, brakes and tyre settings) so I believe everything is as it should be now.
Great contest/thread. Look forward to the next one!

Testing has commenced. Through 5 with less than a second between quickest and slowest so far (standard group). Gonna be very tight this one. With regards to oil, although it was originally stipulated oil change was recommended, i've come across many that haven't done it. Don't think it would be an issue if we weren't trying to put 3 tunes on 1 car, but it is a pain to work out if it's not written on the tune sheet. The quicker PD brings back sharing, the better as far as FITT comps go in my opinion.

Testers: I will have a list of the cars in order of : Model, Regidity, Oil Change. This mihht help those who havent stsrted yet so you dont need to rebuild or rebuy a car. Im away from my PS3 for a few hours. I'll post it as soon as I get back home.

That would be outstanding @Ronald6 ! Let me know when you get that ready and I will link it up front. For now I have starred all the tunes that have noted to change the oil.

Think maybe I'll tweet Kaz and beg him for sharing back. I think we can all see why sharing was definitely the preferred method previously.

Think it was probably in version 1, as the community feature was definately there before the 1st update, when it was removed. Hopefully just tweeking it for a future return.

Theo777 also noted that he did an oil change. In the last box, performance upgrades, last option. Can't wait to start testing on Wednesday.

Thanks, missed that as the images are blocked on my work computer. As are the Google Cloud services so I will be creating and linking the results spreadsheet later this evening. Way too cold in the basement to do any GT today so I will have to keep myself occupied somehow.

My Camaro had an oil change, I have it listed in the set up. I made sure the tune sheet mentioned everything needed.
My build is ready to go from the second they buy the car and change the oil.

And like being mentioned above, only the parts that need to be purchased are mentioned. If it's not in the parts list, don't buy it.
That includes oil (as it's IN the list), and chassis improv (it's NOT mentioned, because I didn't buy it, lol)

Results spreadsheet is live. I geeked out a bit and did some basic coding for average times and position. I still want to find an interesting way to incorporate driver choice instead of having two more sheets; working on that still but it should all update on the fly once we have some results to enter. Testers, feel free to post what you have so far. I will link your posts up front so we can all find them and you can edit in results as they come.

the spread sheet looks fantastic @DigitalBaka
Now the hard part waiting lol
as for driver choice just add a column with a 1 or a 0 for the driver choice and do a =sum(A1:A15+B1:b15+*how many ever drivers there are*) replacing as needed for cell id's it's labor intensive on the formula end, but it will give accurate count as to how many drivers liked which tune very easy end result speaking, it would be litterly a copy and paste formula. (I think I got that sum formula right...been awhile in excel for me lol)

You want to have some real fun do conditional formatting for greater than the other cells in the range on the Driver Pick so at a glance you can see who has the most liked car just based on a colored cell.

Why not just a simple poll, that only testers can do, and give them each 3 picks?

I guarantee your going to have 1st and 2nd stick out in number like a sore thumb, lol. Much less confusion/work also.
just an idea.

1.04 changed the driving again...
Also, it seems the PP system changed, so some tunes could now not be @500PP.

We should update the setups or it'll be a mess, lol.

From this thread:
Tire Model Changed (Longer to heat and cool)
Brake Bias effect altered @Trux
Camber effect altered? @Trux
Ground contact results in more Sparks @Chrix12
PP Calculation changed (Being Debated NOT 100% on this) @Zuel

As many here know, ive been having major issues with my links for 3 weeks now. Even the above link took 3 tries. Every time I try to make a link with words on top instead of the address, it links to a blank page.
I gave up for awhile there, and just linked to the page.

As far as the contest thing goes, I thought most testers were done?
Or, done making all the cars rather.

What im doing now, ive been playing with the camera. Im starting to get the hang of some of the newnfunctions. Ive got new pics of all my cars going up.

Regarding 1.04, are there any tunes that do not meet 500PP now? Looks like @demonchilde checked his over already. Anyone noticed any problems with these cars in the new update?

If nothing is out of whack with PP and there's no major change to physics like things being opposite what they were (which does not seem to be the case) then I will say let's leave the tunes as-is and carry on.

Spreadsheet will be tweaked today some time. I think I have figured out where I want to put everything and the mention of conditional formatting gave me another idea.

I not only didn't see anything different, I also have tried about 10 of my cars so far and haven't noticed anything different YET.
Maybe I don't know what I'm looking for?
But so far I think it's all hype.

Also, what do you guys think of my pics?
(Of the Camaro)
I'm experimenting with different types of realistic settings.

Hey @Motor City Hami , I tried to get a good tune on the '59 Vette, but it just felt ...off :odd:. Wondering in your testing what you found. Feel free to try mine (posted at CoTGO) and see if we can make a racer out of it :dopey:

Ps. Anyone else can try it too, to see how it stacks up with the rest :sly:

I liked the car. The sound is awesome. The braking zones are an issue. Nothing I tried could get it to stop. I want to go back and try some of my new understanding of dampers and apply it to the car. Likely to post a tune for that one soon.

Mine has both Oil Change and Rigidity, I edited the post a few days ago after I was informed they were not mentioned. If you could edit that in that would be great.
Great job putting the list together, makes it much easier for the testers and I'm sure that's greatly appreciated
