Just wanted to say congratulations to the winners @Otaliema, @sinof1337 and @xande1959 for creating amazing quick machines. You all did amazingly and you were consistent throughout with the times your tune achieved.

With regards to DC. @Otaliema and @sinof1337 were up on the podium once again. I am pleased to say that I was able to join them on the podium and I feel fortunate to do so as the level of competition was so high for this event.

Great job by everyone and congratulations to all the tuners for the tunes you created.

I look forward to the next time I host an event and I hope that you will be able to take part once again.

The joke about driving the wife's car made me laugh so hard I almost had to comment about it. Thought I'd give it away if I did though. Soft is easy. Can't deny my M4 wasn't easy to drive and it appears most times in it were close to the same. I tried to make it easy for everyone to cruise around in and get a respectable time. Which seems to have happen. Sort of like a loaner car for a track day.

The power and torque curve on that thing is seriously flat. Hence the long transmission with a short final gear.

I didn't really care for the M4.

Before this challenge, I also did not care much for the M4. But I like it now more than the M3, just my opinion. Try mine and shaun's, might change your mind. Or make you like it even less.

I think the M4 has shown some promise, and will work with it some more....the M3's will go away! I was working on a 135i tune before this challenge started and will continue to develoope it. With a few adj. in early testing it was close to my final M3 times.. Thanks again to the testers for the reviews. I still dont quite understand what was wrong with #6...but it wasnt just me experiencing it.

Well the event is over. I remember testing the Ford GT tunes, so I'm not surprised to see @Otaliema and @sinof1337 with top tunes again here. Also, congrats testers, about 1/2 seem to have been faster than me in my tune (with likely 10 times or more less laps)! I guess the harsh reality is, I'm slow on this track, unfortunately.

Never really got the hang of tuning this car either, so I was curious to try find a common theme with the settings among the faster tunes but there doesn't seem to be one to find from just casually studying the settings without trying the tunes.

You won't find much of a pattern in the numbers without driving them and thinking about what the various settings are doing in various instances, this is the beauty of the GT tuning physics. The only pattern is that loose is fast, unless the car is an absolute animal to begin with then adding understeer and stability to increase driveability will only slow you down, it might buy you a few tenths with a less confident driver but it will cost you a few seconds when a faster driver takes the wheel.

Great job everyone and way to go podium winners!!!
@MrGrado I had a feeling you were tuner 18. The need for constant throttle usage to manipulate the car is your style. I just don't have the reflexes to keep up with it and drive like you. I'm not part alien!:mischievous:
@coryclifford nice setup you had there. You've only had a couple FITT challenges under your belt, but that car reminded me of one of Praiano's challenge winning monsters.
@Voodoovaj I'm interested in what changes you might be making to your app/future tunes.
@xande1959 another solid tune, my friend, I expect nothing less!👍

Congratulations to the winners - it was interesting to see who was who. I thought my car was great, but for some reason it just wasn't fast and I can't really figure it out, oh well. Two pics below that I wanted to post but couldn't :dopey:

these events that you shaunm80, Bowtie-muscle, Otaliema. They performed and are performing too. 1 the mystery of tuners 2 pilots who drive these cars always collaborating with their knowledge myself I have to improve my car in understeer. I congratulate everyone. very cool.:bowdown::bowdown::cheers::cheers::cheers::gtpflag:

Congratulations to the winners of the challenge and thank you to @shaunm80 for inviting me to participate. I had a lot of fun driving ALL of the cars. It's so interesting to see how two or three different people approach tuning the same model of car. I really love BMW's so this was definitely the perfect challenge for me to participate in. 👍
