I don't care about content. The LOBBY system needs a overhaul fast. Content etc can come later. The LOBBY system needs fixing NOW. Not being able to save a loadout, or change event settings after lobbies are created. Let alone the network issues. For leagues and communities who try and coordinate sessions it breaks the game. If the lobbies continue the way they are their is absolutely no reason to play mp. ITS KILLING THE GAME AND COMMUNITY OVER SOMETHING THAT'S SO SIMPLE. It's asine.

I agree. I've been patient. As a league owner this game has killed our league from hopping online because of the nonsensical decisions they made to make the lobbies unusable. I don't care about the lets wait and see approach anymore. Its inexcusable as to why they released a pre - alpha lobby system in a full release. INEXCUSABLE AND UNACCEPTABLE.

What really pisses me off is that PD are ignoring it. They've made zero communication in fixing this. Yes they made a comment about lobbies a bit ago but it was so vague that no one knows exactly what their doing. I DON'T GIVE TWO ***** ABOUT CARS, TRACKS, SELLING CARS ETC UNTIL I KNOW THIS HORSE**** LOBBY SYSTEM IS FIXED.

I can say this without hesitation. If this lobby system isn't fixed or overhauled quickly there won't be a league anymore. Our league is over a 100 and tbh were almost ready to say FU to this game. All of us are patient but no more. Someone somewhere needs to break through to PD and let them know. Its unacceptable when Gt Sport was perfection. The online lobby system in Gt7 is a pre alpha build. Nothing more.

Here Here ! i feel the same way I've not even put the disk in for 3 day's i don't want to do the same races anymore :( went and got a ps5 for this "sigh" and i'm back playing old ps4 games WTF went wrong

I wouldn't expect a "FIX" any time soon. Remember, PD is a Japanese company. Japanese companies, historically, are not known to act quickly. Japanese companies are also conservative by nature. When problems arise, there must first be a consensus within the company that a problem exists. Once said problem is acknowledged by all, then a consensus must be reached in how to fix it by all. Does anyone here remember the Toyota Formula One racing team from the early 2000's? They were spending more money than Ferrari at the time. Why did they fail in F1? It took them too long to identify a problem, then fix the problem. By the time they fixed an issue, five new problems came up. European teams don't wait for all to come to a consensus. They have people in place that are there to act and act with decisiveness. Toyota F1 failed because of their decision making nature-that being the failure to act quickly.

I too race in a league. We were running in GT Sport, which ran pretty darn well. It basically worked and was mostly reliable. We've recently migrated to GT-7 and it's beyond bad. 1. Player synchronization issues. 2. Half the field is laggy and bouncing around the track. 3. Car Tuning requires a very specific work around for your tune to take. 4. Not being able to save a room setting. 5. Not being able to change a room setting once it's launched. This all makes LEAGUE RACING in GT7 a joke of sorts. Especially by today's standards.

Will all this be fixed? Most likely. Will it be fixed soon? Not bloody likely. I predict the lobbies won't even match SPORT levels until sometime in late 2023. In the meantime...GT7 is not the only racing game that can be enjoyed online.

Every game is one-step forwards, and two or three step backwards when it comes to the Open Lobbies. GT5 still to this day had the best open lobby system with one-make races, shuffle racing, drivetrain restrictions, host car selection/deselection, and much more.

In GT7, they finally gave us PP back after removing it in GTSport, and then they take so much away with its arrival in GT7. So frustrating.

Im getting tired of hearing well the GT Sport took x amount of time to complete. This goes for any game really. We buy a game with the expectation of that product being complete. While i support devs they must be held accountable. What happened to the old days where if you bought a game it was complete and not half-assed. The mentality of allowing the devs to release unfinished products has to stop.

This company is making the same game for 25 years now and it's the 7th of them. Where is the ******* progression/evolution? Every new version should have sorted out the mistakes and shortcomings of the predecessor like any company with common sense would do. What they released in march is a complete joke. They just have copied the content of GT6 and GTS, added a few new cars and this ridiculous tire model and this joke of an AI but are not even capable of getting this transition right. This says much of this company. For me this was my last pre-order and for sure the last GT - for sure! I experienced the same ****-off with Destiny 2 for 5 years and I'm fed up now. If companies think they can get away with this - fine, but not with me and my precious money anymore.

It's especially funny that people are having massive amounts of trouble connecting to lobbies, and when they're actually in there, have little to no options to make the lobby experience a smooth one for either pubs or private, league lobbies...yet I have been told, a few times, on this very forum, that online racing is specifically the future and anyone expecting Polyphony to actually put in the work to make a decent, offline AI that isn't predicated on chasing the rabbit (forgetting that other devs have done just that while Polyphony farts around with trying to make Sophy a thing) is a moron and should simply go online to get decent racing. Kind of hard to do that when one major aspect of the multiplayer experience is borked, and shows no signs of improvement either in the short term or especially long term...?

Here are two statements regarding the same s*** with Destiny 2:

"Listen, we already have your money for this game, most of you have even paid for the expansions ahead of time. We don't really need to work hard because we have nothing to gain. We promise to make Destiny 3 a much better game than this one, but we're only saying that so you preorder it as well."

"Over promised and under delivered as usual." Just like the Curse of Osiris DLC.

This seems to be the modern company culture of today. No, thanks. I've got enough good older games to play, I don't need your poor, half completed games ...

I have a theory about this.

Premise A. PD knows that the existence of the GTS online is dividing its customer base and preventing the mass migration of users to GT7.

Premise B. PD knows that if it provides a sophisticated lobby, most users of GT7's will focus on Lobby Mode.

Therefore, PD purposely allows Lobby Mode to remain incomplete and buggy to indirectly force users to play Sport Mode.

That said, I believe the GT7 will undergo a major overhaul in Sport and Lobby modes after the GT Sport servers are shut down.

Considering that GT6's servers were shut down six months after GT Sport's release, it's likely that in October or November, or after GT Sport shuts down its servers, that GT7 will receive a major overhaul in Lobby Mode. Bearing in mind that after the disappearance of GT Sport servers, it is assumed that many users will finally migrate to GT7.

October/November you say?

If it takes that long for such a simple update, this may be the last GT game in the series.

If PD can't catch up, they're gonna lose big time.

Our local league that went for 3 years died with GT7. Great job PD. You literally had the blueprint in your posession for a great online race game. Easy to use. Solid physics. Tons of participation. Tracks and cars a plenty. And you literally threw it out the window.

I shake my head daily and wonder wtf went through their brain.

I wholeheartedly agree, but unfortunately, I think the currently forked lobbies have a lot to do with cross play. I think the same reason why the FIA cross play lobbies are so jacked right now, is the same reason public lobbies are jacked. I'm guessing the open lobbies in its current state, is the most playable version of them right now. We'll see if they can iron out the cross play soon, but my money is on the don't pass line.

I hope I'm wrong

Yea but GT7 has a lot more going on under the hood than GTS
YES? Please tel me what! OK little bit better Grafic.. but what more?
And please don't give me better driving physics and better rain! If it were available as a DLC for say 40 euros as an upgrade to GTS, I would be there right away!

In so many words, pretty much.....with addition to dynamic track conditions. But these three things in much greater depth than GTS, I surmise have a lot to do with the mismatch PS4-PS5 cross play.

...it's just mind-numbing to even begin to imagine a company culture where these ideas made it through a single meeting without getting shot down, let alone years of development.

What did PD do in the last 5 Years? Sucking Thumbs or playing Pocket Billard? There was more than enough time to produce a Game that would have really been better than GTS and GT6.

I definetly won't wait until November to see a completed game.

If only Automobilista 2 would come to PS 5 ...
