Thanks again to everyone that showed up. I have updated the points standings and removed a few people that have either not shown for races or have dropped out. Just a side note, a big pet peeve of mine is to have people register for my series and then never show. Commitment is a big thing for me, and so is communication. If you are going to miss a round I am perfect fine with that, but please let me know in advance so I am not expecting you. Repeated no-shows with no warning will see you removed from the registration.

With that said, Dragon Trail Gardens next weekend! Then we'll finish it off at Laguna in a couple weeks. :)

Out of curiosity, since I see another Miata series running at the moment and a lot of the people from our last season are over there and not here, what about this series do you think is a deterrent for participation? Day? Time? How it's run? Trying to figure people out, since I can't seem to get it right. And right mainly being enough excitement to fill a room every week. When we came back there were so many people interested we were thinking of running two rooms, and now we barely fill half a room. Stuff like this always makes me think about quitting because there's no fun in doing this stuff when nobody is interested. I feel like I come up with some great ideas and they instantly fall flat for some reason. Please enlighten me.

To me all the time and day of the series is perfect, i do not think schedule is the issue. Sad to say but it might just be the car, but i can’t say still a lot of people love that car, my self including

But, what are they doing differently from what we are doing? You might find anwsers there i guess

Full power and RS tires is what they are doing which I find hilarious but I guess it's working. Not everyone likes that kind of stuff though, me included. I think me putting the car at a realistic weight for this season made it better. To each their own? *shrugs*

Part of it could be tire fear. I know when I was (briefly) in the IRS Miata series, they ran SS tires and I was initially skeptical, but then I drove the car and it was completely fine. And I’m someone who usually struggles with oversteery cars. People just may not be willing to even try the less grippy tires. I wouldn’t change it though, more hardcore/realistic settings are always going to have a more fringe appeal.

Christmas had me busy so I didn't have much time to take pictures of Brand Hatch race, but still here there are enjoy! :D

I'm looking forward to this week end as always, love the battles I have with you guys.

All drivers without GTP confirmed, Sly_634 and OncleBou1 that was here last week as well.

See you all tomorrow, haven't had much practice because i received bunch of new games for Christmas. Still I'm sure it'll be fun

Thanks to everyone that came to race today. Lost a couple during the event but still some good racing out there. I think this message mainly goes out to those not on GTP that show up every day to race, so @Alex Mart pass on the good word. (especially to Aaron who, despite being last almost every race has shown up every week. That makes a statement with me) The points have been updated, and with the low turnouts I felt it was OK to apply the drop rounds to the top 3 in the points. 2nd through 4th is tight, definitely going to come down to the last race at Laguna to sort that out. 👍

Already planning another season of this series but some big changes are coming. Hopefully it will attract more drivers. No start date on it just yet, I think I am going to post the thread and get everything ready and then we'll start when we have at least 14 people registered.

If I have to rate the round I like the most so far, it's gotta be the Dragon Trail one! I loved every minute of this combo and there was a lot of battle to photograph. I'm happy to hear that an enduro cup of this wonderful car is in the works!

Started practicing Laguna Seca, I'm really excited already, love that combo as well.

See you guys on track!

Announcement:

This is it. All comes down to this. As I said before, we've got a few in the top 5 in points that can move up or down depending on their finishes this weekend. Should be some exciting battles! Tell your friends, tell your family, let's go out with a bang! :D I want to thank everyone again that managed to stick it out until the end of the season, definitely gain some kudos points from me in an era when people have trouble seeing these things to completion. Hopefully I'll see a bunch of you in the Enduro series, whenever that happens. :)

I’ll be there, but tonight and tomorrow forecast says there will be freezing rain and they are even expecting power outages. So if i miss or get disconnected mid race thats’s why

Race lobby is open. Qualifying will start at ~15 after the hour to give people a bit more time to transition to the first FIA Manufactures race.

Points are updated, let me know if you see any mistakes. Congrats to the champion, me. :P Also congrats to @Alex Mart for taking 2nd by a whole 5 points! Lots of good, tight racing out there. Even with the smaller fields.

As I said, consider signing up for the Enduro cup if that interests you. It doesn't have a definite start date as we'll kick off proceedings when we have a full room of registered people. 👍

I dont believe I'll be home in time unfortunately. I'm bummed. Have a great race fellas!!

I don’t feel like it’s a legitimate P2 for me, lot of things would have not be the same if @GTPvw_slc was racing today. I raise my glass to the real P2 and most importantly to those who attend most of the weekends, I had great battle with every one of you

Sorry to Pepsi on race one , I think I had the right opportunity to try for a lunge on the last corner of the last lap. But, @R1600Turbo please review that one, I want this to be fair for everyone

@The Gran Finale great battles especially with you on the last two rounds of the calendar, you really made me push my car to the very limit of what I’m capable (I need to raise that limit)

Thanks again to all of you who raced see you at the Enduro Cup!

Here's my whoopsie moment from the 2nd race. Completely surprised that it didn't go all the way around. Not sure how I hung onto it. Pro tip: don't brake when you have a wheel in the dirt. :P
