Indeed. While FM3 and older may not have the best graphics of the sims, it does have the physics (actually, Race Pro 09 beats Forza in physics). If FM4 looks as good as we have seen, and every car being premium with full interiors like this, they are raising the bar for sure.

Forza is awesome i will sell my Ps3 as soon as i can because GT5 just couldn't match up. I tried liking it though. I recently bought Race Pro 09 and was pleasently surprised by the physics and racefeeling. It's good and fun but doesn't have all the content, seamless 60fps and graphics too match. And IMO Forza's Physics is just very very good and more realistic seems than GT5 in some areas.

Race Pro is fun but in my book really hard with controller with all 'pro' settings (hardest AI, no assists, etc). The Radical in it... personally I think it sounds awesome. You even hear the reverb in the engine note at higher RPM.
Didn't play all that match cuz my wheel did a kaput and I haven't gotten a new wheel for 360 since.

F YEAH:dopey: i fell in love with the Radical in this game the rpm goes over 10.000 and the sound is awesome.👍

Pay special attention to the lighting in the cockpit.

I just checked it out with the same car on the same track, same position and location and it seems the Lighting Engine is very different and much more realistic although its not very visible in the video itself. I will try too upload a picture as comparison.

If lighting is the biggest worry then I'm happy.

You graphic junkies screwed with Kaz's head and look what happened.

RE: Constant, unending speculation about a Logitech Xbox wheel:
http://forums.logitech.com/t5/Xbox-Xbox-360-READ-ONLY-ARCHIVE/G25-for-Xbox-360/m-p/372319

TL;DR: Logitech states they won't comply with Microsoft's (unknown) conditions and this hasn't changed in 2 years running.

Maybe the stance has changed. Thrustmaster is now Sony/PD's 'official' wheel for GT5. Seems there was a rift there somewhere as Logitech was at one point sleeping with PD as they released a few wheels which worked like the DFGT and then the G25 which was supported in GT5P, but with GT5 aren't officially supported. Would LOVE MS to open up the wheel support, not just bring a new wheel to the table even if it were a Logitech one. MS HAD TO have heard everyone wanting this to happen and MS/T10 have been awfully quiet before E3. I don't recall FM2 nor FM3 being this quiet before E3 so they seem to have something up their sleeve.

I just don't see how MS can be serious about bringing head tracking (a core racing sim feature) via Kinect and not have a proper FFB wheel (a core racing sim feature)... The current one in the market is low quality MadCrapz without FFB or Fanatec's GT2 which takes 3+months to get.

Cmon MS... make it happen!!

I've played quite a few driving/racing games in the period that I've owned FM3 and every time I go back to it, it looks so much more 'real' in motion. Yes, the lighting is off and the cars aren't 100%, but the 60fps makes it look so much more lively.

+10000 for me.👍

RacePro is nill on features and graphics, but as you noticed...the physics and sounds make up for it...and it has qualifying and pit options!

If Race Pro and Forza could share the best features of each other that would be one helluva game man. I would love to see that. I'm starting to take a peek at rFactor for something new. Don't really have the PC to run it at any supermax settings but probably enough to get the job done. Ran it on my wife's laptop and while the graphics weren't mind blowing it was running smooth as butter. I didn't optimize anything so there may be more performance to get out of it.

Yes i was pleasently surprised by the qualiying and the sounds. It also has some cool tracks like Zandvoort.:)

Yep race pro is good.

Qualifying is too easy though. I just set a random grid.

Custom championships is a great feature too.

I don't know that MS needs to drag Logitech in necessarily, but I do think that there's room in the peripheral lineup for something between the MS wheel and a Fanatec. Something mid-range, the DFGT for an Xbox. For the gamer that's not dirt-poor, but isn't sure they want to drop $500 on a peripheral.

MS could sell it themselves, there has to be any number of companies they could farm the design/manufacture work out to. They just need to make sure it's there.

I know people are saying that the wheel racers are a small market, and that's probably true. But it's little things like this that will see MS taking customers out of Nintendo and Sony's pockets.

If my DFGT worked on Xbox, or if there was a medium quality Xbox compatible wheel I would have bought an Xbox by now. I can't be the only one. Even if they might only get another 10,000 customers worldwide, that's not to be sneezed at. As it stands, I'm waiting until my DFGT dies so that I can buy a Fanatec, and the damn thing seems to be made of unbreakanite.

Believe it or not but it is. You gotta look at it like this. Why drop the first MS Wheel? There was only one real fatal flaw with the wheel which could have ben EASILY alleviated. But they didn't want to invest in it.

Just buy the Fanatec and keep the DFGT as a backup.

Qualifying, I guess I was talking about online when racing with others. It's nice that you can qualify for position based on fastest qualifying time.

As a GT fanboy, seems like FM4 will blow everything away... The car list only seems enough... Laser scanned tracks would be awesome because Nordschleife in FM3 is a joke... Better physics and the new elite is born...

PD has sleeped 5 1/2 years and invested 5 years in making 200 premium cars and nothing more...

Got to sell my GT3 RS and get an GT2 wheel...

I wonder if the tracks that have already been put into FM3 will get updated with laser scanning? Road America can definitely use the update. As well as Nurburgring. Speaking of Nurburgring, will the North loop and the GP circuit be connected and drivable as one track this time around? If they don't update the track, at least connect the two of them.
