In the first 3 games, the follow cam had a 'wobble' as the car turned, whereas 4 and 5 have had a more fixed view. Personally, I prefer the fixed view.

Would do you think they should incorporate into GT6, Wobble or fixed (or perhaps something in the middle)?

Chase cam has been completely useless for me ever since the fact that it's the least realistic view for a racing simulator. :P

But for those who prefer the view for whatever reason, I think it should be an option.

I absolutely dread how the chase camera stays glued to the car in GT4, Prologue and GT5. I really hope the old one comes back in GT6. And PD, please learn what options are so people who prefer one or the other can pick the one that suits them best.

I preferred the old chase cam personally but I can see how the new one is useful.

I think we'd all want an option, not that I ever use chase but hey, it works for some people.

What I really want is head tracking in cockpit view or at least have the 'head' turn towards the corner (optional as well preferably)

The GT2 second chase cam was my favourite chase cam used in the series. It wasn't fixed and it gave a good perspective of the car. I don't like how the current chase cams will inevitably have gauges impairing the view of the car, or the chase cam being unable to fit the whole car on screen.

I think it could have 2/3 chase cams and a separate option for changing screen wobble.

Haven't played a game using chase cam in years, but what I like in those is that they have to be dynamic be default. If you are using an arcade cam then it has to have an arcade feel.

This! I hate chase cam with a passion, it really ruins the look of the game imo, especially when replays are uploaded to You Tube with that view, YUK! :yuck: But I guess it's a good idea for PD to include it to cater to the arcade crowd as well, thus maximizing sales.

I'm playing through GT2 again and I can't stand using the bumper view. It just doesn't work for me when I'm forced to use a controller. Personal preference I suppose.

But I agree that using chase can is not the way to go when using a wheel at least.

Old Chase Cam like the one in GT3 or GT2 would be nice... 👍 Last 2 versions are OK but sometimes it feels that the track is the one that moves, rather than the car... :scared:

Exactly why I hate it.

After having played GT4 with the chase cam, I found GT3's chase cam to be too flexible in that it's disorienting. I actually prefer the stiffer cam found in GT4 and GT5.

I prefer the fixed view as in GT4/GT5. Though it didn't bother me at the time when I played GT3, I've grown so used to the fixed view that I can't go back. I feel like I can run a better line when it's always positioned behind the car looking straight forward.

I thought he gt5 camera was bad until i started playing other racing games.. oh i was wrong.. * twisted metal understood this..*

I think the calls for having the option of fixed/turning camera are the most sensible here. It is the small gameplay options like this that can really improve the experience for many players. In addition, it is surely not that hard to implement, especially in comparison to other planned innovations.
