Ok, Congrats, Magic has all granted you all 2 million dollars to start a GT race team. (This is pretend)

What car would you buy? Remember, you want this team to make money, so you want to win. Think of a car that will give success, not your dream car.

What sponsers would you go after? This is just a preference question really.

What tires would you use?

Would you drive? Honestly do you think you have the talent to compete againist those type drivers?

How would you get around the country?

Which track would you absolutely take first at, if you were driving?

Feel free to add any details, if you can see something in your "fantasy" that I forgot to mention.
 
First off, Thank you Magic for the money! :lol:

Anyways, although I love the Viper, I have to go with Corvette right now. The ZO6 is tearing up the track, and I would love to be apart of that.

Sponsers: Playstation 2 of course, and I'd go after Jordan for some cash... put GTPlanet all over that bad boy.

Tires: I am not to knowledgable about tires. So I would have to some advice on that. I am sure Toyo, or Goodyear would work fine.

Of course I would drive! No doubt about it.

I'd probably have a matching Chevy duely, with one of those elongated trailor.

I truely think I would own Laguna Seca. I just love that track so much, I truely think I would warm up to the line more quickly.

Rough calculation...

Two Volvo S60R ETCC's --- $600,000.00
Two trucks and trailers --- $200,000.00
Pit Crew --- $650,000.00 (One year.)
Licenses (Business, track - homologations) --- $40,000.00
Equipment --- $100,000.00
Spares (tires - parts - engines - chassis) --- $175,000.00 (Initially)
Pitbox + track rental --- $200,000.00 (Yearly)

Can't afford drivers, windtunneling, transport, research, team accomodations, ...

Give me more money!

No, but i'd have 2 known GT drivers, Sascha Massen and Lucas Luhr (okay, i'd steal Alex Job's drivers, so what?)

I believe we refer to that as a plane, my friend!

Well, I'd go with an RX-8, sponcership from Sony, Playstation 2, Mazda, and possibly Bridgestone.
For tires I'd go with Bridgestone...in my family we use Bridgestone Taranzas and Potenzas mostly, and they are exellent...what that has to do with GT racing, I donno, but I'd give them a shot.
Ofcourse I'd drive, it would be for practicality, fun, and popularity. :D I think I could race pretty good, though I've never gotten the chance.
How would I get around the country...GT cars aren't street legal? :D I'd buy a matching RX-8, no stickers or anything though. For transporting the car I'd use an extended Mazda Titan, and for driving the team members around I'd use a MPV...I don't think I'll have more than 6-7 people in the team...
First place? Probably Laguna Seca...it would make me some money, it being Mazda Speedway and I'd be a Mazda team and all...
Other details...hmmm...well for communications I'd buy $600 cellphones for the team, and each phone's ringtone would be the Zoom Zoom song...that would be quite classy. :) I'd also have Cosmo(my youngest cat) as the team mascot and take him to the races, possibly make a little seat for him in the racing RX-8. He probably would get freaked out though...

You can't drive race cars on the street (except rally cars, and only for very limited periods of time) Plane gets you from event to event, no?

how do F1 teams travel from America to Europe, and Europe to Asia, then?
 
Well...I don't think so. You'd have to get one of those Carrier planes, those are millions of dollars...I'd assume that the teams could rent space on a ship for a lot less...

Car: Audi S4 (just like from GT2)

Sponsor: Tag Heuar (sp?) and Audi

Tires: Michellen

Would I drive: No I'm a good driver but not that good...well I might try a few races.

Transport: Chevy 3500 dually with a covered trailer

First Track: Well since I've always wanted to take this one on...Laguan Seca.
 
CAR:I would have a Monaro with a 427 in it

TO DRIVE OR NOT TO DEIVE: Yes i would drive
TRANSPORT: Would be a Mack truck, with a trailer
FIRST RACE TRACK: it would have to be bathurst

1st PLAE TRACK WOULD HAVE TO BE:LAGUNA SECA (i think i could tear it up their plus i would love a shot at that cork screw turn)

Nissan, oz wheels, toyo tires, recarro seats and probely main would be microsoft though.

In a big kennworth truck and trailer and a whole lot of campers for the crew. They would be the size of tour buses though.

Laguna seca, the best road track in America.

The color of the car would be gold with white accets and say microsoft and it would in orange.
