Hi,
I am having some trouble downloading fonts for Adobe Photoshop CS, I have performed a search but have found nothing to help me. Does anyone know how to download fonts that can be used in photoshop. I was using this website to download from: Urban Fonts.

The main probelm is that I actually don't know where to download them to. I would appreciate the help and will close the thread after my question has been answered.

Thanks

From personal knowledge, you can download the fonts anywhere on your hard drive. They usually come in .zip/.rar mode, but in general, as long as you can get the .ttf file, you're good to go.

Secondly, unzip/unrar the file and drag the font into a separate folder. You can put all the downloaded fonts into the folder, so go ahead.

Then, go to Start > Control Panel > Fonts, which will open a folder that includes all your fonts. Now all you need to do is drag and drop the fonts from the previous folder into that one. Windows will auto-install them.

On some versions of Photoshop you'll need to restart it, in newer versions you don't. However, you should have your fonts right there.

Just something extra...

You can also extract the .tff file straightaway into C:\WINDOWS\Fonts from WinRAR etc.

Thank you, probelm is when I go into Control Panel I cannot find a folder that says Fonts, I have: Appearance & Themes, Network Connections, Add Remove Programmes, Sound Speech & Audio devices, Performance & Maintence, Printers & Other Hardware, User Accounts, Date Time Language & Regional Options, Accesibility Options and Security Centre. Is it in one of these sub-folders?

Doesn't matter, I managed to do it. Thanks for your help. I will close this thread now. Thanks again for your help.
