GoKents, Der Alta, Famine all get my vote. I'd have to say that moderator status is a requirement (to be able to handle things like last week's kerfufle).

Kent, what would it take to get you promoted to Mod, I wonder?

I am very willing to take the role.

The biggest thing to me. (as of yesterday I figured that mod status helps, but is not required.)
Is that you are excited to be involved.

I do not want to see the organizer feel as if the weekly race series is an obligation and nothing more.

I would like to see an organizer that wants to create fun new races each week.

So that's where my vote or candidacy stands.
Have fun with it.

There was a weird subject the other day - deleted now - where someone was asking if there were any females here. I replied that there were no females on the internet and though Lotus350 appeared to be female, your marriage wasn't legally binding and was conducted by a mate from Glossop who runs a piercing and tattoo parlour...

Anyway, if it's easier for a mod/supermod to run this - with all the announcing and stickying and moving of threads - then I'll sit back and carry on racing last in Div 1...

Could always slap a poll up of all the people who want it... I didn't know it was going to turn into a mad scramble though - not after seeing what boom had to put up with last week!

Hey, that stuff rarely happens.

Some times things get heated... P and I were thinking back to one of the few times it happened.
It has only happend twice before last week. (makeveli2k3 & sandstorm) (or something like that)

Either way... famine, I thought you were a mod?

If your not bro, than I will happly organize these races for you.

Being a mod doesn't matter... wanting to come up with new races and contribute does...

I come to the weekly pretty much everday of every week regardless of my participation in the actual race, so this is an honor to me.

I haven't been with the WRS all that long, but I'll share my thoughts on this anyway:

boombexus has done a really first rate job singlehandedly running one of the most fun and, the recent brouhaha notwithstanding, most congenial, series on the web. Well done boom!

As for the next race administrator: In GoKents I see a lot of energy and enthusiasm. In Famine I see experience, judgement, and an even, helpful, temperament. I think either would do a great job with the WRS. I think both might do even better. I'm not sure any one person alone could, or should, carry the burden that boom has over the last year.

Regardless of what's decided, I think boom has really created something special here. Let's all do what we can to keep it that way.

As much as I'd like to see a Brit run the series, GoKents has done 30 races and has far more experience with the weekly than Famine, so Kent gets my vote Good luck to whoever anyway, I'm sure you'll do a great job of taking over

does the fact that someone has run more races than someone else make them more eligible for the job ?? Dont we need someone who is going to choose challenging courses like Boom has and someone who has a vast knowledge of GT3 ??? If that is Gokents then so be it but I think that Famine seems to have an enormous amount of knowledge and experience of GT3

Who has the final say anyway ?? Is it Boom as he "owns" the series at the moment ?

I don't think the position should go to the faster racer necessarily.
Instead, I think we should leave it to boom. Of course, any members can lobby as they wish.

But I want to remind you all now, I am not the special interest candidate.

Anyway, I figure boom knows both famine and I, so I leave it to his judgement.

I know i havent been around much in the last months, but I was there at the start, and first off I just wanna thank boom to his devotion to this series. your series really helped me develop the skills I have today (or lack of right now, im so rusty..haha) anyways. with that said, id also like to throw out a nomination for GoKents. His dedication to this series is a close second to booms, and i think he'd do very well running this show
