For the Bathurst 1000 fans.

Do you want PD to include this famous endurance race ?.

Just had another idea, why not go the same way as IRacing except not sooo expensive. It could be similar to Sky Box Office prices (est £3 or £4 ), for movies. Why not have a choice of not so famous/famous races to compete in, and you can play during the whole length of race ( with option of coming back to it ) with your friends. Also can keep creating these different races & vehicles.Possible licence things to contend with.

Yeah agreed! Not as bad as those 24 hr races in GT4 that most people probably never bothered with.

Ummm, you do realise you're talking to the resident GT4 "endurancoholic" here don't you?!!!
(Clicky the light blue link in my signature for examples!!! :P)

I've driven those 24hr races (all in A-spec) 7 times in total! I'm hoping they're still present for GT5, but with 16 or more cars on track and hopefully more competetive AI drivers they should be infinitely more exciting. :mischievous:

What is the point of this and how is it for fans?

If your are a fan of Bathurst the why the hell wouldn't you want it in GT5?

Totally Pointless thread.

Mmmmm the mountain....
No way it will be in release but it is probably the only track I'd happily pay for as DLC (...I will unhappily be paying for any and all dlc for GT5 though[unless they DO release the 2 versions...])

I hope they do track DLC. I'm expecting DLC to be mainly cars, but really hoping for at least a few tracks. I'd pay $5.00 a track. Okay, truthfully I'd pay $10.00, but I wouldn't be happy if it was under 2.50 miles * 4.02 km (still buy it, but I'd send a grumpy letter).

I wonder what the full cost of track creation is (trips, time, creation, testing, etc)

Definatly should be in. my friend was pissed it wasnt in forza or its DLC

If it was in GT5 it would really rub him up the wall

What makes you so sure?

Really want to see that track and V8 Supercars in GT5.

I jogged around Mt Panorama once, in a marathon. I think my lap time was 43min.

I would love for Mt Panorama to be included...its Australia's greatest racetrack, and I think regarded as one of the more difficult tracks in the world...

Problem is I don't think it could legally be included, because of licensing deals for Codemasters V8 Supercars.

There are way's around it...

They could always include a few of the V8 Supercars, licensed direct from the manufacturers. Particularly cars from a few years back. Might have to alter the liveries slightly though. As for the track itself, that could easily be licensed. They'd just have to rename the race.
