For Those Who Don't Know How to Do the Glitch In GT5

(I've already posted this in the marketplace and I've decided to post it here again so that more people will know about this )

Alright guys, it seems that nobody here has written a complete guide about the glitch that you can do in GT5 after the 1.05 update which enables you to backup the saved game data.

I haven't tried it out yet because I don't have time and currently doing endurance race and some sleeping after it.

This glitch has gained alot of popularity especially in www.gtplanet.net in the marketplace of the forum where people are begging others to give them a free X1.

So, I have decided to do a rough guide on how to do it and share it with you guys! Hope that this post won't be deleted by any admin here because this is not a hack or something. Or maybe if you want to thank me, you can gift me a Red Bull X1 or Formula Gran Turismo (white with silver stripes). <<<<My Dream Cars

Sorry for bad english because I rushed it!

1. DUPLICATION OF CARS (gtplanet users are doing this right now and it works!)

1. Backup(copy) your data in the saved date utilities to another account or USB drive. (It is better to save the game manually in the gt5 first to prevent any lost data)
2. Start the game from your main account.
3. Give the car you want to give to your friend.
4. The car is gone from your garage now.
5. Quit the game.
6. Delete the game data from the saved data utilities in your main account.
7. Log out your main account and log in the account where you copied the game data as backup.
8. Copy the backup game data into your main account.
9. TA-DA! Now your main account and your friend both have the same car. The car has duplicated itself!

2. BUY YOUR DREAM CAR FOR FREE (NOTE: YOU MUST HAVE SUFFICIENT MONEY TO BUY THE CAR YOU WANT)
(I haven't tried this out yet but I think it will work because it is based on the same principle. I found this out on youtube but only few watched this and the video doesn't give a complete guide)

1. Create a decoy account in your ps3 to receive the car.
2. Create a psn account for your decoy account and start the game to get everything done(profile etc.) in the gt5.
3. Quit the game and log in your main account.
4. Backup(copy) your data in the saved data utilities to the other account(not decoy account) or USB drive. (It is better to save the game manually in the gt5 to prevent any lost data)
5. Start the game from your main account.
6. Buy the car that you dream for.
7. Get the car from the car delivery.
8. Now you have the car in the premium/standard section in the garage. (Do whatever upgrades if you want to)
9. Send the car to your decoy account.
10. Quit the game.
11. Delete the game data from the saved data utilities in your main account.
12. Log out your main account and log in the account where you copied the game data as backup.(In case you backup in the other account but not the usb)
13. Copy the backup game data into your main account.
14. Now logout from the account and login to the decoy account.
15. Start the game from the decoy account.
16. Get the gift from the community section and goto the car delivery section to get the car.
17.Send the car back to the main account from the garage.
18.Login your main account and start the game. TA-DA! You have the same amount of money before you buy the car and you received the dream car from your decoy account!

NOTE: ONLY ONE CAR FOR AN ACCOUNT SO CREATE MORE! Thx to Exorcet!

Additional Notes: *What I meant "other account" is the other user on the
same ps3.*

This post is not directed at you but wanted to get in before it starts.
I belive the OP started this thread to explain the how to of duplicating. Not to open up another endless back and forth thread about cheating like every other thread put on here about this kind of thing. Please stick to the OP's thread title because you have other options of example. Post in one of the other derailed threads or even start your own titled "All Glitchers must die and go to hell because they are destroying my gaming experiance". Just a thought thanks.

Indeed, I really hope they find a way to prevent this BS in the future - but at the same time, don't come up with copy protected save files again

Nope, I spent the morning to write this after I read some topics regarding the free X1s in the marketplace in this forum.
There are so many people begging for free X1 and there are also people who offer to volunteer themselves to dupe the cars for them and the list goes on.

It seems that it will never reach my turn so I decided to write a complete guide and post it here.

Well I had a problem last night when my PS3 just crashed completely while playing GT5, So I keep a Game save backup now on a flash drive, just in case it happens again and I loose all my game progress.

That's the only reason I would want to make a copy of GT5 , and If I wanted an X1 or any other car in the game I'd rather just earn it myself from playing the game.

erm, actually there are only a few steps.... Its just that i wrote it thoroughly so that even a kid can understand what i am trying to write.

well, actually i enjoyed every race in the A-spec. But after i unlocked the endurance series and i complete the first one which is the 60 laps of Grand Valley Speedway (if im not wrong). I felt that its very tiring and time consuming so i prefer shortcut in the end....
