Ive purchased both cars now and maxed both out..the 05 came out 10 hp higher..so i did an identical tune and hit the test track's. Lap time's were so close im guessing all PD did was make one premium one standard..same freekin car...and dont waste your money on both.

I've been messing around with the '06 and the spec II lately. Adjusting the suspension and brakes to add in under steer seems to be the key to keeping her on the road, atleast for me.

For the '06 I upgraded to the height adjustable suspension, and have it set like this currently:

Ride Height: Front: 0 Rear: -5
Spring Rate: Front: 9.0 Rear:10.2
Dampers both at 2

I put the brake balance to 5 front 4(or 3 on a more wide open track) rear; and I upped the ABS to 2( I was using 3, but it took away too much cornering).

My '06 is currently at 714hp and it handles quite well I'd say. It's alot easier to deal with a little understeer and brake a little sooner than have to feather super careful exiting corners, especially with a controller.

These are just tweaks I've been trying for the past hour or so, so don't think their the best. If someone else out there has better settings I'd be glad to hear them, Ford GT is such a cool car to drive.

edit: oh yeah. racing softs, of course.

I've got the LM car that I won from an event, which I love, but I bought the 06 for the seasonal event, and that thing just doesn't work with me at all. I was getting terrible understeer, right off the road in most cases. Am I alone in this? Green Book, you say you were trying to *add* understeer?

Maybe my driving style is wrong for this car. It sure is gorgeous though.

Did you install soft race tires ?

As PT says above, double-check your tires. I have a nicely tuned up GT I was using for the race and having a lot of trouble (struggled to get to 5th place). When I finally double-checked, I found that somehow I hadden gotten switched to sports hard tires instead of racing softs. After I fixed that it was an easy gold. 👍

I got gold pretty easily, but it wasn't a "fun" drive at all. I started with soft sports, but then quit and tried again with race hards and it helped a little. I was trying to keep the car reasonably upgraded.

Driving the car stock in forza was a ton of fun, but it's just terrible for me in this game. Maybe I'll fiddle with the suspension a bit.

I had the same issue with the sports hard , and i would give up after the 3rd corner wondering if my driving skills had deteriorated that much since i had been doing so much B spec .
