I got the Ford GT LM Test car last night and wow, it is extremely loose. Just try going into a corner and letting off the gas, then enjoy saying hello to the wall. I personally think weight distribution is the culprit, but unfortunately I cant change it. I tried playing with the downforce settings (I put max downforce on the rear, then tried minimum) but nothing seemed to do the trick, or even help it at all. Anyone got some ideas?

I don't have the game, but Pretty much all Cars with Mid engine, You need gas while turning them. So really brake hard, once you enter the turn press on thruttle a bit..

Also don't put too much DownForce in the back, Cars need almost even Downforce.

Maybe increasing the rear wheels camber angle and toeing them a little in? dunno, but try it. You can see which is which from the QTS screens by Amar - more specifically, this one:

Yeah that's the only way to really drive it, but it just seems WAY extreme in this car, so if I could just figure out how to tone it down a notch, I could really let er rip around the track. I did play an online race (2 laps on HSR) and managed to go from last (8th) to 2nd. Really good car if you can keep it pointing in the right direction.

@BNA - Thanks, I'll try that when I get home from work.

Thats definentaly not the fastest it can be driven, I don't have it biut i've got from 11th to first in two laps on HSR, using the Tuned viper, which isn't as fast as it looks.

it really works like a proper race car. what do yo expect more?
driving it without ABS is contender. it reminds me driving a MC12 in GTR2 :)

My settings, open for suggestion's :)

Aero 20-35
Ride Height 0-0
Spring rate 5-8
Damper 6-6
Toe -0.5+0.5
Camber 2.5-2
Brake 5-3
Max tuning angle 40
Traction OFF
ABS OFF

yeah, im in the same boat... cant control this bad boy around suzuka... anyone got some suggested settings for 700pp race?

PP700 really only has one car that allows you to win is the 111r-tuned.
This can also be quite a handful, but I find it easier to drive cleanly than the GT-LMT

sorry its slightly off topic but are the 700pp races possible in professional mode? or must they be done in standard? I've just managed 1 lap at the fuji 700pp race and only gained 2 seconds on the leader so it looks as if lap times need to somehow be about 1.5-2 seconds quicker per lap which i'm struggling to gain.

I managed to win 700pp suzuka with 111R and professional. Reason for success was not my supreme driving, i only did 2.06's. True reason was starting order;two morrisons were in top and slowed the whole pack and gained 1st place already in 3rd lap.

700PP fuji is still open case for me. Im still undecided on car choise.

I'm using your setup with power to the minimum and Weight at 96 and it goes awesome for the online playing. Thanks for sharing

My setup is similar to pegon's but I dropped the ride height by 10 both front & back, and the front springs were a little tighter. It was still a little loose but I found that fun.

I won S-10 after taking the lead round spoon when the leader spun out while I was closing in - it was nice to have a clean overtake for a change. I am pleased to say I won the S races using a different car for each race and no Lotus 111R.

I am going to be brave and post my settings, specifically for S-10, so they or may not work for anyone else. I am using a DS3 controller.

Power -13
Weight 114
Aero 15 25
Ride Height -10 -10
Spring rate 5 5
Damper 6 6
Toe +0.10 -0.10
Camber 0.5 0.3
Brake 5-5
Max tuning angle 40
Traction 1
ABS 2
FINAL 4.413

I won, so I was happy and I know there is room for improvement but it if helps anyone than that is good.

I had good luck with even down force then bump up the front spring rate one from stock and lower the front dampening one, leave the rear alone, toe was 0, camber was front -.7 rear -.5 brakes where front 5 rear 4, abs on 2, all other aids off or 0

Put the ride height in the rear as high as it can go.. This will give you more down force in the corners, then put your springs at 10 and your dampers at 10 in the rear that is. That will make it so your rear cannot bounce as much in the corners. In nascar it can make a car more loose, but it this game I found that it helps.

Also like the guy said above. Brake hard and give it as much gas threw the corner as possible.

Thats a hell of a setup! I'm very very happy with it! 👍👍

You know it didn't occur to me until now, but what track are you talking about? I assume its Daytona, since the GT gets really loose when you let off the gas. I have a good setup for Daytona, you can go 180's MPH in the corners.. It gets me to the front every time. My guess would be each track needs a different setup. Let me and I will give that to you if you want it.. Test it out...

I used the setup posted earlier to complete S10 with the Ford GT LM. Many thanks.

I got the tuned Elise, Mines Skyline and Amuse S2000, lots of credits but to no avail, although drifting the S2000 is very satisfying. I already had the Ford GT LM but I couldn't get on with it until using this set up. I think I could clear the event using the Sony DVD remote...

doblocruiser, your settings helped me gold s10. I set ride height to-5 -5 and brake balance to 8 6 only thing different. Got the gold , thats all that matters.

OK, How to drive this setup. As I mention earlier in the post you don't need brakes, playing with the throttle will be good enough. When you are down the straights without the help of the draft you should left of the gas a 50yds after you into the turn. However when you do so left off the gas very slowly until you reach about 25-30% throttle. Then in the middle of the corner go full throttle. You need to be careful how much speed you have. You need 180-185 before the middle so in the transition off the corner you don't hit the wall and get the all loved collision penalty. You also need to be sucked to the lowest line, so pretty much keep it on the yellow line. When you come into the corner your line should come from the very top of the track to the bottom. This setup require the use of the draft to get to the front like in most cases. But the bueaty of this setup is you will be running a lot faster in the corners than the leaders. When you are carrying drafting speed (ie 200-212) you need to ajust the way you come into the corner, maybe use the brakes a touch or let off the throttle sooner. All of this depends on how driving style. In most races I go from last place to top 3 before the end of the race. I hope you see you guys out there.

Here the replays of the GT LM and my Viper on Suzuka:

The car understeers a little but if you lift the throttle very little in corner it will turn-in directing you automatically to corner exit.

one way i cure being loos in the Ford GT id is turning while breaking and accelerating.
bassicly i keep on the throttle most the time and ride the break in instantly cures the loose
feeling the car has, but at the same time you cant break as hard. but it def works when in the middle of the corner. try it out. But remember loose is Fast!!

modulate gas and brake at same time never jump off gas

Hey strong,we've had several races today while driving my tuned Vette.Really having hard time getting grip in Vette even with R3 tried GTLM & it's got more grip than Vete,as always gotta play with throttle ,can easily steer with power.:sly:
