Now - here's a thing...

I was chatting to a very dear mate of mine last night - closest mate, I guess you could call him. He lives 1000km away, and neither of us like talking on the phone - so we'll go a month without talking, as you do.

He knows this guy who specialises in exotic windscreens. How well is this business doing? He has a Victorian (Australia) registered McLaren F1. Those of us who've seen this car at the Australian Grand Prix running Vic rego plates will have seen it.

Another example - the lightweight racing Ferraris? Their windscreens crack very easily, at $10k a pop. A local team go though 3 to 5 a meeting, at $10k a pop.

Anyhoo - this guy reckons he's laid his hands on THE prototype Group B Ford Sierra, running a twin turbo version of the Ford V6, and active diffs at both ends. This thing is so prototype it hasn't been painted (or indeed, run for 10 years).

I'm dubious, but I'd be curious to hear if anyone's heard of this (like, maybe Giles). Help....

He owns a McLaren F1!!! Ahhh!

Sierra...Maybe Race Idiot would know something about this...
