Albon in Q3 and Sargent in P13....both Williams have out qualified Perez.....I'm just putting it out there!! 😏
In his time at Williams, while Logan Sargeant has never managed to out-qualify Albon in the sister car, he has managed to out-qualify Perez in the superior Red Bull 6 times now.

I do not actively hate Perez in any capacity, but performances like this make his contract extension a bit of a head-scratcher.

I think they should rename him "Max's paycheck"

I can't say that I saw George on pole today. Lewis has been on the pace all weekend so far so I thought he was going to pull something out of the bag.

Ricciardo responses quite well at least for today.
My headcannon is that he hear Villnueve talking smack, and this is is response.

I'm praying he can carry this level of performance on beyond todays quali, as nothing would make me happier than an actual long-term return to form for Danny. I'm unfortunately not horrifically optimistic at the same time.

Good qualifying.

Except for Perez. Does he have dirt on the higher ups at RB or something?

This is very rare indeed, bet max was kicking himself as even a tiny thing like applying throttle a little slower, not being as quick with the DRS would've changed the result

Think its more to do with RB has no one else, and they dont want to sign anyone else who could be a wildcard

He's Horner's guy & he has sponsorship deals Red Bull wants. That's it.

Other than that, Perez has become one of those athletes that suddenly regresses once the bag is secured.

What happened to Verstappen being investigated for failure to follow race director's instructions by forcing his way into the queue of cars in Q2? I saw that it was announced, but no websites have followed it up or even mentioned it in the most part?

No further action, sorry don't have the link to hand atm.

It basically comes down to if he was in the fast lane or not. They considered that his wheels weren't over the line, so he didn't have to merge immediately but could wait for a gap
