Watch them stall Lewis’ penalty until he’s got such a lead that it only puts him down 1-2 positions. Positions he can easily pick back up in that Merc. would be par for course for ol’ Hammy
Never been happier to be wrong

there’s a good chance Gasly, an Alfa, or even McLaren could win this. Stroll still needs to pit

Goodness, what a race. McLaren on an unbelievable pace, both Ferraris out, safety car session rearranged the grid, red flag, Hamilton getting a 10-second stop/go penalty... looks like it's anyone's game at this point.

Penalty for Norris would seem unfair based on what the commentators are saying. He did it to have a flawless stacked pit stop and not impede the competition’s pits.

If Hamilton still somehow wins this race, we need to just give him the title of GOAT now and never look back

Verstappen and Bottas need to be right up there. This their only chance to close in on Hamilton.
I'm quite pleased they're not. I know it hurts the championship but it's over anyways. I'd rather a McLaren, Racing Point, or Alpha Tauri win this race

Considering Ocon did the same thing at Spa I think Norris will be fine.

However FIA are never consistent.

The closed pitlane was only because of where Magnussen stopped.
Oh yeah I'm saying they should close the pits all the time when the safety car comes out, kinda like Indycar. Puts more emphasis on the pit crew performance.

As much as I want to see Lewis beat that win record, I have to say that I quite like this development...after that penalty, I'm betting he will be dead last. I'd like to see how he makes up those position or even if he can finish in the points.

With that being said, I also can't wait to see who will finish on that top podium cause I don't see Stroll doing it but I guess we'll have to wait and see.

It's a zero-stop race from now, they would need to overtake every car in front of them from the middle of the pack... which they haven't looked like doing all race.

Hamilton has to take a pit stop (with penalty) while everyone else doesn't, he is surely out of the running.

Wait, they are allowed to work on the car during a red flag? My NASCAR brain is struggling to comprehend this.

Yes, they can repair their car and change their tyres.

Lewis, what are you doing mate? You’ve got a what, 2-race lead in points? You’ll be fine finishing even in the Top 10.

Apparently the red flag tyre rule was changed, Gasly is in the Net lead.

edit: maybe not, I don't get how no one knows the rules, the commentary team isn't clarifying probably the most crucial thing about the race which decides the winner.

If I heard correctly, Stroll gets a free pit stop out of this race stop? So shouldn’t both the McLarens? I guess I’ve missed something.
