Max was unlucky, nearly had Bottas

Ricc vs Max up the Kemmel straight tomorrow. With Ricc on softs, if it doesnt rain.

Gap between Bottas and Hamilton 0,5 is 'pretty big'. Excellent lap (again) of Hamilton.
Max should have drunk another RedBull if he lost energy too early...

Hamilton could be under threat after the start. That will be the best chance for Verstappen and co.

If it does rain, Mercedes have the right set up with more downforce.

Agreed I think the Rennault might jump one of the Mercs up the hill, but it wont last with the downforce difference... If it rains (really hope so) Riccardo will struggle with the lower downforce levels though... Bound to be a more entertaining race than Spain if the weather forecast is correct it could be epic!

Everyone, other than the Mercs, are running low downforce setups so it'll be fun watching everyone struuggle if it rains tomorrow (60% chance).

Doesn't that also mean Merc might be in trouble if it stays dry?

With the track temps being cool even the softer compounds this weekend wont make a difference. Rain could shake things up they said 60% chance...

Maybe for the first lap or 2, if it stays dry, but after the Kemmel straight, their sector 2 performance should see them get away, unless Ricc, on soft tyres, can get both Max (start and T1), then Bottas into Les Combes, hopefully LH too but that is how my dream scenario lap would pan out  and would only last the 1st lap or so anyway.

But 60% chance of rain so either way it'll be a mixed up field if it does get wet.

Good to see Ricc up at the front. Hope he can actually start on the 2nd row. The Renault has looked quite quick this weekend!

I really hope Christian Horner takes a good look at where Ricciardo is, and realizes how good of a driver he lost in his team. Had they not neglected Dani, they would've still had 2 spectacular drivers.

In an F1 season where Ferrari is nowhere to be seen. Having a solid second driver that could extract the cars performance at Red Bull right now would have really pushed things with the Merc. I really hope he sees that too!

I love to egg on Ferrari when they're doing poorly, but even I have to admit this is getting kind of sad.

Absurd is more like it. There has to be some serious organizational disharmony going on for things to fall apart this badly in such a short time period.

Not really. Ferrari’s 2019 engine was built around a grey area in the rules which were clarified to them by the FIA and as a result they lost 50 horsepower. Then the FIA declared car development frozen, so now they’re stuck with what they have for two years. That’s really all there is to it. I honestly hate the FIA more than I do Ferrari for that because they made the sport a whole lot less interesting. Also they allow Mercedes to keep their gray area exploits for a whole year before banning them while Ferrari has to give them up immediately, which is frankly kind of dumb. I just don’t really like the FIA in general right now.

So for Ferrari being at the back of the grid, I’d say it’s just as much to do with the FIA and Coronavirus as it is with their engine design itself.

So defeating the fuel flow monitor using intermittent electrical pulses is a grey area is it? and I guess adding combustible lubricants to the combustion chamber is also a grey area, and both these things are in no way interrelated? After the clarification regarding these two specific things they have subsequently lost tons of horsepower and that is no coincidence is it? I know its tough being a Ferrari fan right now, but theres no need to be delusional about it. By rights they should have had their race records expunged and been forced to hand back their winnings (its likely this cheat mode has been implemented for more than one season too). The fact they used an NDA to cover this is a disgrace, and the most corrupt thing Ive seen in sport in recent times... Im glad they're languishing now its pure karma. Ferrari have too much influence in F1 its their fault that its not competitive with their lions share of the concorde agreement finances starving all the middle teams.

I don't think it's AUP acceptable post the images, but I laughed at finding out Max & Daniel gave each other the bird after Qualifying in joking spirits, whilst Daniel was being interviewed.
