Not to rain on anyones parade, But I feel Corey will have a decent chance. But in the End JTP will bring it home. With his knowledge and just the shear amount of power that the Mustang is able to put to the ground will be a big different. Once you get to a certain point its just wheel spin anyways.. BTW. I'm heading down to PBIR saturday morning lord willing.

I think Kyle Mohan should do well. This track will give the lower power cars a bigger chance!

All set up and ready to go, only fd car i know with a air jack system. 👍

Car looks good! You'd be surprised by how many cars have airjacks. I know most of the falken cars do, as well as Kyle Mohan's RX8.

You mean this video?

:dopey: Such a legit run from Essa! I love the confidence and enthusiasm he has after he finishes the run lol

Yeah, if it was me that did such a great run I would find a way to be jumping inside of the car. Hope he has a good round 3.

50 minutes until Driftstream goes live!!!

Great idea making this thread Mav! For anyone who says this is off topic (lookin at you CG :sly: ), I say go suck an egg lol. I think this tread will be awesome, if for no other reason than it gives great inspiration for GT5 drifting, for me at least.

I've been a motorsports fan all my life, but over the last few years I've started to lose interest in most disciplines (other than Nurb 24hr and Le Mans 24hr). And I've never really payed much attention to professional drifting, but since getting into drifting in GT5 about 7 or 8 months ago, I've started paying attention to FD and D1, and I have to say, I really enjoy it.

Now, I've got a very noob question...I was wondering if someone would be able to give me a quick break-down of the differences between FD and D1, as I'm still a bit confused.

I'm stoked to watch the next round this weekend :) Keep the great photos and vids coming!!

@twitcher: Thanks for the support. As for the differences I can't really tell you much since I haven't followed D1GP in like two years so I don't know if it changed. Although I was told that this year in D1GP they have a new system to chose who leads first & it is that the two drivers do a solo run before each battle & the best one leads first. In my opinion I find that unnecessary.

Here's my favorite battle up to now. Such much hype coming into it & it didn't disappoint.

Does anyone know soemthing about Essa's machine? It sounds like a turbocharged BMW I6 but it could be NA as well.

If I recall correctly, it's an e46 m3 engine (s54) turbocharged. When I talked to him in long beach, it was pushing around 600-700 hp

Not sure if you guys heard it on the live stream. At the drivers meeting the judges made it a point to say that they were not looking for reverse entries from the drivers during qualifying. All the drivers were shaking theirs heads yes and they agreed. Mike Essa pops out "Well what if we pull off......". The judges stopped him and told him again they were not looking for reverse entries.
Mike starts again "But what if I do a good one"? They told him if he wanted to try it fine. I loved that he went for it on both runs and pulled off one of the best i've seen.

Mh, pretty dangerous to turbocharge this engine. Really not made for turbo or supercharging, never lastet long stock either. But oh well, I guess it's fully built and this thing is definitely no daily driver :D

DeNofa is looking pretty good, Vaughn is killing it & Daigo.... last 2 runs not visible thanks to the cameraman

Ugh I want to watch so bad, but I'm stuck at work...and have a soccer game right after work...wot be home until like 9 tonight...and all I want to do right now is watch FD and get my fcp Camaro sideways lol
