hey, PD have now fixed the paint chip issue, the correct paints is listed in the event descriptions.

Hold on, I already took the disc out :lol:.............. @et_ No. Now it says GT GREY 002-N. That's of little help to me though beings I already Golded it last night and got the crappy same paint chip which I already have.

Great. :rolleyes: So I have to deal with two of the same paint chip, which I already have btw, just because of PD's 🤬 up. :banghead: :grumpy: :mad: Not that its a life ending deal, its just the principal of it. Pretty fed up with PD's 🤬 ups and other escapades. Patience is lost. Disc is coming out of my console until PD can pull their head out of their asses. Ah man, sorry to hear that.
But i strongly think that will never happen (the head thing...), in my opinion we are stuck with PD and Gran Turismo as it is, for good and worse.
Even it's very hard sometimes, we just have to try to enjoy the game for what it is, if we don't like the seasonals events because of low payout or paintchips that we already have, we can just skip them, but we have to remeber it is still people who buy (poor souls) this game and they don't have all the paintship we have who has played from day one.
Hope it make some sense and put things in bigger perspective. ;)

I get and understand what you are saying here. It just seems that GT6 has lost something. I can remember in GT5's days, I never got bored of the game and couldn't wait to play each day. There was always something to do and really enjoyed each day I played. Now, with GT6, the enjoyment is mostly gone. No longer do I look forward to playing each day. Part of it comes with the game itself, and the other part comes from the frustration of being told this/that is coming/will be added and more than half of the stuff hasn't made it in yet. Its just really time for me to start enjoying the other games I have while I keep a distant eye on things here. I still hold hope, albeit not much. I understand where you are coming from, hopefully you can understand my frustrations also. :cheers:
 
I think they are rather sensible here - the FGT is most likely not in people's garages en mass and it costs 2mln credits.

By giving the same paint chip in other seasonal they allow those without a FGT to obtain it. (me)

Having said an expensive and rare car like that (zero use in A-spec) should be provided otherwise I can imagine a lot of people passing on this one.

Yes i do understand you, it is frustrating to wait and wait for promised content and improvments which seems to never show up.
Unfortunately we playstation owners do not have many choices when i comes to great driving games. I really hope Slightly Mad Studios will come true with Project Cars who can challenge Gran Turismo and maybe forced PD to deliver a better product than GT6 and the competition will force them to hold their promises.

Cargo my friend. It sort of will be a lifeending deal if you decide to quit, won't it? i'd hate to see that happen 'coz you're a real character and tuner here and a Sharp competitor on my FL!

And really (i know i'm sticking my neck out here too, but): It's just colours for cryin' out loud; Women are in to colours!:lol:

That being said, i think i know the Suzuki by now PD!

I'm cooling down for now, i understand that mistakes happen.
But to do the right thing, they should have done it in an other way.
I now have won 2 paintchips in stead of three other ones ( did not gold the Formula GT)
So winning the GT OLD GENERATION 004-W x2, is just 1 in my sprayshop ( ha, irony, say my name)
I mean, i was enjoying the new events, and this undo's it.
Now i have to wait until those paintchips come again?.

First time i finally gold the two drift events, the first time.

I'm going to make diner.I want to use words that will only show ->🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

I think i need to stop playing untill i'm not sick anymore.
 
This tt is not for Me. Normally thinking brain will reminisce that 900bhp is to much for a wheel not mention a controller!!!

I give up!!

Matter of fact, I'm sure there are a lot of people that will be glad to see me go. :lol: And like I said, the paint chips aren't a life ending deal, just an addition to the many frustrations of the game. Its just not fun for me anymore, so its time to move on. Good luck with your future endeavors with the game...I'm out for now.

I know how you feel.

I'm thinking that PD fired the old programmers, hired some new fresh ones without any expierence.
I mean, an error/mistake can happen, but lately, there are a lot of mistakes.

Okay, it's free updates, it's just paint, but it is a lot of MB on the harddrive, and my PS3 is having problems with loading.
SSD in my PS3? nope, i'm not investing that for one game.
 
Well, im not a big FGT fan but still, managed to get 1.33.581 with DS3. Abs@1 TC@2 all other off. I feel that i could get 1.32.8xx and thats about it. Currently 97th, pretty happy at this point with my result with DS3. ;)
They should do 2 lists, wheelpeople and DS3people.
Next to do - GSX Willows.

Idk if I'm going to bother with this one. I was in the top 100 for the lotus TT, but I've never screwed with the FGT and am horrendous at Silverstone...as seen by weider this past weekend and many other times haha. Silverstone will win the track vote online and instant groans come from my end ROFL. There are so many more tracks that are more technical, of which I love to death and do well at. But, Silverstone just is not one of them! Guess I may give it a shot just to gold it for the moneyz.

Can I still get the paint chip if I restore my save file to an older one?

Edit: Oh my God, yes. It works! Now I can get those new paint chips! I'm so glad I backed up my save file two days ago.

i got a 1.32.8 👍 but man loads of oversteer :( i feel i could go faster but i tried adding weight increasing the downforce no luck. what a tricky car, i fear you really need traction control on for this tt its insane im burning out at 5th gear..... :boggled::D

Pretty much haven't touched the car since it was stuck in my stock yard collecting dust and amazingly it's still the same tune that works even after all the updates.

Ill tweak it abit as got wheel spin all the way to 6th and wasn't the cleanest of laps I could of took a taxi to half the apexs I missed
 
I overestimated praiano's tune, I think it was not made for my driving style because I could not manage to get below 1:37 without spinning out, back to my tune and I did a 1:34.625 and I'm sitting at 189th
 
I'm looking forward to trying this. Been away from PS3 for over a week & it's going to be another week until I'm back. I'd never be very high up in the leaderboards even if I persevered to improve my times as much as possible but I never have too much trouble golding an event & then moving on to another. Normally I get the gold time within 1-10 attempts & it says I'm ranked anywhere between 2,000th & 10,000th but I'm happy to take the money & the paint & know that I have a gold.

They should have moved the first round (mess up) paint chip prize to silver and let those who had them already get another gold for the new ones. Easy peasy right? Guess not... :indiff:
 
Thanks PD for this 'new'(?) TT event - quick question though? Is this to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the FGT in Gran Turismo? Sorry, guess its early for the 10th anniversary, now that I do the math, but has anybody noticed (remembered) that we're all driving a ~2005 vintage ('standard') F1 car, in a game (GT6) that was released in 2013 AND was preceded by a game (GT5) that contained 2 newer ('premium') F1 cars...... that we can no longer drive?

With advances like that, is it any wonder that people have started to become amused by collecting paint chips.......?
