back to topic. That time scedule is completely wrong. In 1years time they will never be able to make a game that is that much of an improvement on forza 3, thats 3 cars and nearly one track per day untill release and that doesn't even count testing and putting the game together. However they could do a pd and put the release back a couple of years.


anyway i think we will all be happy with forza 3 still then, i think they should spend a year solidly on updating and bringing out dlc for it like what crtiterion games did for burnout paradise.

(please note i'm not an xbox fan i'm only talking after playing on my brothers forza)

700 Cars? 150 variations? Where have I heard this before? Could it be Gran Turismo 4? I mean if you remove the 1 on the tracks you do get Gran Turismo 4. I mean there probably won't be the same cars, but you never know. However, I don't think you can fit 700 cars and 150 tracks on even two discs. And it should be mentioned that DVDs and Blu-rays were created so that we could get away from multi-disc games. I mean, GT5 HAD to be on Blu-ray or be split into two discs because GT4 barely fit on a single DVD-ROM.

I still think that Forza won't remain a MS exclusive for much longer...or, Microsoft is about to unveil a Blu-ray enabled Xbox.

Blu-ray and Natal will certainly spice up the 360 market a bit - it's a significant change that will mean significantly different games.

Think of it, if the 361 (360+bluray) launched tomorrow, then the larger games that would come on bluray wouldn't be able to be played by the normal console.

Having 2 incompatible file storage types for the one console would be a disaster.

That said, Natal is coming out in the next few years, and it'd be pretty bad for MS to launch the 360's replacement a month after the 360 gets their abortion of an Eye-Toy. So, for better or for worse, the 360 has to last at least another 3 years.

That's more than enough time for T10 to just recycle everything from Forza 3 (a lot was recycled from F2, so they'll probably do it again), and add some more cars, and possibly a V, W, X and Y version of each track to make up the numbers.

So was Bungie. But, if you remember, Bungie separated from MS. And if Forza is going to continue to increase their graphics and car count, they'll need a disc that can hold more than 8GB.

Oh, and developers, if you're really serious about multiplatform games, then you'll just utterly ignore the Harddrive-less Xboxes. If that hurts MS's sales, then that's their fault for creating a next-gen system that doesn't have a Harddrive. I mean, even the Wii has a Harddrive...heck, even the original Xbox has a Harddrive.

Sorry, had to rant for a little bit. Anyways, I think Forza's a great game, but I would love to see what they could do with 33.1GB of Blu-Ray goodness.

I don't know if we'll see Forza 4 of the 360. FM3 is already on two discs which means they're having space issues. I think if the game gets any bigger on the 360, we'll have to do the crappy 6-disc installation process like on PCs, and then you might as well just get a PC which, btw, could actually run BD-Roms if someone wanted to make one.

No, I think if FM4 DOES somehow make it to the 360, it'll be the last FM game on the system, but I suspect the next Xbox will be out and be Blu-ray ROM capable before we see another Forza.
