MS only allow 6.8 GB per disc hence how even Forza 3 needed 2 discs.
With all the work gone into the Cars models for the menus and photomode. I reckon Forza 4 on a new machine will happen quite soon with DX11.
Funny how GT4 was pretty dated compared to PC sims and Xbox 360 games. Same could happen again with GT5, if they wait till Dec 2010, games from a new Xbox or physics and graphics from PC games will be up-to-date that GT5 will look old after 6-12 months in one form or another possibly. Look at Dirt2 on PC and thats just the start. I feel PD have lost a lot of impact and the low res environments/cardboard trees aren't up to peoples standards.
GT5 should be out now and PD could've done the PSP game ready for this summer so people going on holiday etc could buy it for their trips after playing GT5 at Christmas 2009. Summer would be best to market PSP GT and but now we have to wait for the fall (maybe) as thats the best time to release a home console game.

I have the feeling that Forza Motorsport 4, regardless of when it is released, will likely have most of the cars that Jalopnik proposed for the next car packs. Or so I hope, because most of those cars are awesome.Rather have two thirds of those than one tenth of Skylines. The more the merrier, if I recall correctly. And I doubt you will have started your GT5 career when it ships, if this "rumour" is true, and provided GT5 follows the course it has been in for four years.

"Turn 10 has started work on its next major game, its been confirmed to VG247, with the studio now looking at how to turn car games into a way of life.
Forza 3 game director Dan Greenawalt told us that a core part of the team is off working on our next big thing, speaking in an interview published today.
As for the projects identity, however, the studio has nothing to announce at this time.
The exec did give some hints as to the games direction, though.
How do we go from being a Racing Game to being a Car Game to being a way of life? These are just some of the tenants weve taken to heart for our next project, he said.
Forza 3 released last October to high praise. Monthly DLC work is ongoing.
As for the secret game, were going to hedge our bets and go for Forza 4."

Forza 4 will be on the next generation xbox.. Which means, forza 4 would use a entirely different code...As in no ported tracks or cars from earllier forzas, which means, forza 4 will take atleast 3-4 years to start over from complete scratch. or less or more who knows... thats just my prediction.
That is of course if GT5 has been released by then. PD is a joke

I see no reason why they shouldn't release it sometime this year. All they need to do is add some stuff, maybe improve the online a bit, done.

A joke is when you outsourced the car modeling to a third-rate company in order to save cost and expedite production time. With a bit more time you might be able to fix whatever problems you might encounter prior to release. Somehow T10 was rushed into releasing FM3 for whatever reason and because of that you get something like this:
For most part it's a fine game but they really need to spend a bit more time making sure things like this doesn't appear in FM4.

You know, I noticed that too, especially in racecars the interior isn't very good in F3 most of the time, the stock cars interior are modelled much better.

I m on a GT forum because I am/ was /have been a GT enthusiast. I don t see how that is so hard to understand.
I am also very frustrated because there has not been a GT released on the PS3 since the release of the system which was in 2006 if i m not wrong.
I also think PD shows poor business judgment by taking all this time as in the mean time, there is a portion of the fan base who is buying xbox's and FZ3. IMO, they should have:
1) hired more programmers and probably would have been able to release earlier.
2) release GT5 last year and keep working on it and release/sell additional contents via download, which have been an addiotinal source of revenue for PD.
3) not waist time/ressource doing GT Psp which turned out to be junk to add insult to injury.
etc....
GT is the only racing game I have ever played for more than a week. It s simply the best IMO. but thsi is just ridiculous and PD needs to know that there is a fan base who is dissastified and frustrated. hopefully, if they read this website, they might know. Don t be such a fan boy.
Bungie was a studio that MS purchased.
Turn10 is a studio that MS created.
That being said, I agree. I think developers should all develop standard for systems with hard drives, and it would be great to see what all they could do without the space constraints in both HDD and optical media.

I hardly think it possible for a "joke" to create what is by far the greatest driving simulator of all time. Contrary to what the average idiot fanboy may believe, Polyphony are, in fact, making an effort to put together a truly exceptional game. Please, quit bitching about the development time, and jump to conclusions only after this is released in May 2010.

I don't have the details on the specs for the upcoming release of Forza 4 but I can say that from a recruiting stand point, there are a lot of QA and Designer jobs that MS is hiring for this game.... more to come when it is available....

"Poor business judgement?" Sony aren't idiots. They know full well that the longer they taunt the community with gameplay videos and such the larger the payout will be in the end. As for Forza, Gran Turismo PSP achieved higher sales than those of Forza 2 and 3 combined. Polyphony couldn't care less about Turn 10.

I wonder how many people still play Gran Turismo PSP.
Wait a minute, did you just say GT PSP has sold more then FM 2 and 3 combined? Last I remember Forza 2 sold some 4 million copies, and Forza 3 has sold about 2 million; GT PSP on the other hand has only sold close to 2.
