List both, Pros and Cons that you think Forza Motorsport 4 has in general. No need to compare with anything, just pros and cons of FM4.

Pros:
1. Better career than in FM3, a lot more interesting
2. Better and harder physics and handling
3. The best engine sounds I've ever heard in a game
4. Adaptable and good AI
5. Awesome car list
6. Lighting makes everything look a lot better
7. And a lot more I guess, I'm only level 10+ and haven't played like 70% of the modes
8. Autovista
9. Collision physics is very good
10. It Has SOUL, finally.
Cons:
1. Perhaps not enough antialiasing, but that can be applied to most games
2. Not many serious flaws yet

Pros:Too many to list and consistent quality throughout the game
Cons: More tracks and xbox showing its age. Game looks very good but its killing me wondering what they could have done with better hardware.

That's the one thing that's really stood out for me. You can tell that graphically they're at the Xbox's limit and everything has become a give/take affair. 60FPS gameplay, 30FPS mirrors. Higher polygon count, little to no AA.

Yea the xbox is at the end of its cycle, however I appreciate they didnt try to overdo the game and kept it consistent by leaving out items that may have compromised performance.

I think they did a great job squeezing out the 360's capabilities with FM4 and GOW3.

I agree and with that comment.
Con: Took me away from GoW3

Not trying to derail the thread just making a joke.

On topic, Hopefully Forza on the Next Generation platform will be something to behold.

Pros:

1.Rivals mode, just great!
2.It looks and feels like a complete, well thought and organized game.
3.Sounds! Even though an Peugot with 50hp will never sound like this, its still great!
4.Brings an fresh breath in the genre, I especially liked the race in career mode, where 2 different class cars race together on the same track.
5.Graphics are definately an step up from FM3
6.Car selection is great
7.All the reward stuff and customizing gives you an very good feeling.
8.AI in FM is fast and challenging
9.Livery editor. Even though I will never touch it, it is great for all that creative people out there.
10.DLC! It´s great to get new cars each month.

Cons:

1.Physics. Sorry, it´s a game killer for me :( If PD does one thing right, then the physics. If I would gave GT5 an 10/10, I would give FM4 an maximum from 7/10... It is impossible to spin an car and you have the car always absolutely under control. They give you the feeling that you got to correct the car sometimes but they never let you allow to lose the control of the car. It´s better than FM3 but I expected so much more, especially after all that "we worked together with Pirelli". Get on the grass with 1 side of the car at 6000 rpm and full throttle and nothing happens, normally the car must spin out...

One + are the muscle cars. They feel heavy and ?spongy? anyway, spinning is impossible...

2.Nordschleife :( Absolutely unacceptable for me.
3.Photomode... I´m an hobbie photograph and the photomode is not giving you the feeling of an real DSLR cam.

As I´ve played it, there were more cons and pros but actually I dont remember them.

Crazy how the "physics" opinions wildly vary with this game.

I think its a point where everybody thinks different. Some people love the Shift 2 physics. I bought the game and played it 30 mins. No chance to give it another try. 👎

I played a lot of PC-Sims like rfactor, GTR2, GT Legends and some others... People without experience can find the FM4 physics absolutely hard and challenging but after 3-4 years of SIM racing, for me, they are not. But I can remember my "before SIM" times, as I played GT (3 or 4) and remember that the physics were too hard for me because I had no experience with such games, was only playing arcade games.

After playing FM4 and GT5 the physics are on par. FM4 is a bigger step up in the physics department, I would say as afar as console racers are concerned the physics are even.

Pros:

1. World Tour Career much improved over the FM3 career
2. Polished and nearly perfect UI with voice control
3. Graphics and sounds are amazing. Better sounds than you even find on PC.
4. Physics are amazing. Much improved, and easily the best on console right behind Race Pro 09. It's actually probably right there with Race Pro 09. I love that is much easier to spin out and lose grip..much more realistic now.
5. Such GREAT variety of cars to choose from. They are really nailing the desire of the majority.
6. The modes and events are night and day better than FM3. Multiclass races, mixed with bowling, mixed with the different tours of the countries.
7. Livery editor, photo editor, home space, and Autovista make this car porn
8. Rivals mode, with all the different events, as well as the car club. Untouched by others. Just great.
9. Fun factor...it's just there. I can NOT take my hands off the game.
10. Track accuracy, some of the best out there.

Cons:

1. AI, at least early on in World Tour. Not tough enough yet, and sometimes I have to wonder why some of the guys drive off into the grass or sand out of the blue.
2. 900 Degree wheel glitch still not fixed
3. Too many notifications of messages in the club menu/message center for sharing of cars/joining/quiting clubs
4. Some interiors are still too dark, at least on some tracks.

People want the game to feel a certain way. IMO, that's what the physics argument is about.

I'll not list the pro's cause all i will say it, i'd of happily paid £60 to just have the top gear test track to mess around on!! Let alone the rest of this wonderful game.

But cons'......

on replays on manual clutch, still sounds like you are missing a gear even though your not, this was in FM3 !!
on Sedona race way cars still look as if floating on tarmac
oddly with FM3 i felt i was really an 'owner' of my cars in the garage, i felt i'd earnt them. In FM4 it feels like they come easily, hard to explain that one, just feels less like they mean much.
only played yesterday and i love it but cant help thinking we now need to have windscreens and to be honest as much as folks will slate Shift 2, the cockpits were something PD and Turn 10 need to up their game with.
Oh and some 'works' kits for cars woould be nice and also abilty to change steering wheels to race ones when you upgrade a shopping car, looks a bit weird having normal steering wheels in cockpit.

love the game cant wait to spend more time with it, i spend many many hours with FM3. Just not sure if this one FM4 has hit me yet as much as FM3.

ANyway, eats GT5 alive.

I've been screaming around tracks all night in LMP cars, and wow, what a rush! FM4 has such a fantastic sense of speed! I really love Road America now and had a spectacular crash happen in front of me where a car flipped about 5 times... it looked pretty amazing.

There's always room for improvement and I don't doubt that Turn10 will be cranking out all kinds of goodies for us to enjoy. I do hope some of the issues mentioned on this forum will be taken into serious consideration though.

Pros:
1. better sense of immersion
2. better graphics and sound
3. alot more sensitive, im on the edge of my seat during high end races
4. career somewhat dynamic, feels more organic
5. Finally, the cpu cars are upgraded!!

Cons:
1. cpu cars dont upgrade rims or body kits
2. cpu pretty easy in world tour, pretty tough on event list selection
3. never liked the way the hands fit on the wheel in cockpit mode; looks like a gi joe toy hand when you stuck a gun in it, yea im 32 lol
4. obviously no porsche, but im excited to get a ruf

Pros:
-AI is fun to race with
-Career is lengthy and fun
-Balanced/fair way to earn credits and progress
-Customization features
-Graphics are improved, framerate is solid (except rear view mirrors some slowdown)
-Improved cockpit view, better looking gloves not as annoying as bright orange ones in Forza 3
-Sound, better sound mixing
-Better course selection screen, instead of listing every variation side by side it becomes a sub menu

Cons
-No Porsche
-HUD is weird as it shows total time in largest font instead of current lap time
-When buying larger rims and after installing them you can't see what size rim you currently have
-AI in world tour mode seems like medium difficulty to start with
-Replays still not that great to watch, cars still look awkward moving
-No replays in test drive, have to exit to main menu and go to freeplay kinda odd
-When finishing a race it abruptly cuts to screen and you can't see your time
-Track accuracy is not that great see Indy

-Track accuracy is not that great see Indy

Seems accurate to me, you are aware they redid it and the one in GT5 is the old layout right?

Cars use the speedway corner instead of the last bit of road course.

I think the AI opinions vary a lot because it's early in the game for most people. If you race in World Tour, were the AI difficulty is non-adjustable, and race the Dodge Superbee in 5 races until you can't see the AI on the map, and then race in R1 or R2 right after that, you will do good to get 3rd place even if you are a decent driver. The AI will be super aggressive and may take you out. After that the AI backs off.

I would rather have the Event List mode where you have 4 AI difficult settings in World Tour with maybe a little dynamic difficultly within that.

Other than that, awesome game!

Yeah, you've obviously never played FM4 if you think that.

Yeah, you've obviously never played FM4 if you think that.

I played it 5-6 hours now and the more I play, the more I think I will go back to GT :)

All the gimmicks and rewards and all the stuff gives you a great feeling but when it comes to simulation or driving, its not my thing... Not only the Nordschleife is too wide but also the F1 track of the Nürburgring.... Suzuka seems also too wide for me...

But the RUF´s are great, I´m in love with them  👍
I was loosing the control and was close to spin the car but then, pang, the steering assist step in...

I agree, or he is a god behind the wheel.

I dont think so, the cars have simply too much grip...
