Forza 4: Video Thread

Vid I just finished about an hour ago. A race between all the green cars (minus the Tesla of course, and the CR-Z since I pre-ordered though EBGames) You'll be surprised at which one ends up winning.



Thankfully, I can bypass the uploader, so no watermark, woo-hoo!

It's cool seeing a race you've run from beginning to end like that without having to sit at the xbox to do it (or paste a hundred pieces of 30 second clips together). Thanks eek5, you're the greatest.

Looks like we both had to avoid some disasters. Mine AI and yours , even worse, human dummies. lol
 
This is why I hardly ever go to Non-Custom public lobbies. At the first corner I get taken out by divebombers. I am in last place.

I finally move through the pack and get to 3rd. I am catching 2nd place, and in the LAST 2 corners I pretty much have him. Until he decides to start blocking me.

But watch where the finish line is, and how he screwed himself.

To me it just looks he tried to defend but did it too late.He tried to back off but you spun him out before he managed to do that...?

Yup, hate those drivers. I would boot him from the room for that move.

Re-read. I said was divebombed at the first corner and ended up in last.

If by "defend" you mean try and make the other guy go off the road and give no room in a turn, and try to squeeze into a wall...then yeah, he was defending well.

To me, the Corvette didn't deserve to win that either way running in the back of the porsche trying to gain advantage from that, did he deserve to be turned into the wall? maybe not. It's hard to tell from the angle, but to me maybe the corvette brought that to himself. Judging from that angle and that angle alone, it looks like the corvette tried to defend once it got passed the porsche. The porsche attempted to hold his line and basically the corvette moved into the porshce's line suddenly without notice. So sort of brought it upon himself. But that's just looking at that angle.

Wish it could have ended as excitingly as this race. Remember watching this race live and waking up my parents from yelling haha.

I live by this rule. :) Vaxxtx should have lifted.

The rule agrees with vaxxtx but you say he should have lifted? Don't get it.
 
No. The player he was racing against only changed once of direction, that states Vaxxtx could have avoided the accident. Pushing him of the track only counts when changed more than once of direction.

Vaxxtx was already beyond his right QP when the guy then start to "defend" his position aka "squeeze Vaxxtx out when Vaxxtx already had position". I'm sorry but if I was ruling in that race the other guys would definitely get hit with whatever sanction before Vaxxtx would. Vaxxtx already established his space on the right of the guy and the dude just try to rub him out.

EDIT: Could vax have avoided it? Sure. But vax might as well just pulled over and park after the first 10 feet of the race and don't even bother racing to win if he has to go through those lengths to avoid.

He changed direction more than once. Watch the begining, I was on his right, he moved right, I moved left, he moved left. This guy was like that the whole damn race. Sorry, but I am pretty clean driver, but why should I lift when it was clear that he was getting passed?

I live by it too, but I live by the whole rule, not just the first half. Vaxxtx did no wrong in my eyes.
 
I was doing a race online, 1st position, going through the second chicane.

Had my old falcon on 2 wheels for probably 100 metres before getting it back on all 4s lol.
