Forza Horizon 3 Auction House Thread!

Is there a limit on how much you can buy or bid or sell on the auction house. I get a error everytime saying failed bid failed buyout plus saying I can sell anymore cars.

The server is very messy currently.

I got very lucky today and picked up a '69 camaro HE and A Viper ACR HE for $400,000 and $675,000 respectively! Good haul I'd say

So, the auction house is a bit too busy tonight. Good thing no one was bidding, because being patient means you can snag those HE editions for a decent amount of cash. Managed to bag a '69 Boss 302 HE (XP bonus) for 700k.

Saw several more for absurdly low prices, but very hard to get in now.

I got my two HE cars for a bargain at midnight my time so that'll be my strategy from here on out!

Bought the barn find Maserati and the 90s Corvette zr1 for a total of 330k. Not bad for my first time using the AH.

Put a cheeky few bids in last minute on a few and bagged the focus ST for only 5k credits and sold my Mercury with V8 for more than I thought..quite addictive this section of the game

Just witnessed some guy buy out a Camaro HE for 5.5mil and he bought the GTR for 5.5mil, on the other hand scored a Camaro for 400k, and two m4s for 600k

Bagged another HE (Credits) for 668k. Dodge Viper. This car is insane, without tuning it has wheelspin all the way up to 4th gear. With gear tuning, it goes to 295 km/h in 2nd and 1st still largely unusable. Absolutely mental.

See if you can put AWD on it? The M4 I got had one, I got rid of it for some drift stuff, but considering putting awd to the BRZ HE. It's pretty crazy with wheelspin too.

I don't know how many cars you can put before the limit, but anyway it's only a couple hours long so it isn't that bad actually.

Oh ok cool. But yeah imagine if people could put up as many auctions as they could...the market would be flooded with even more cars, I don't even know if the system could handle it.

I got it before either of my HE cars to help get some skill points and wheel spins.

I just has some good luck at the auction. Chevy ss for 6k, Ferrari 575 for 20k, and the grand prize of the day on a single bid was a puke green GTR HE for 600k

Really starting to love the auction house.

I started bidding on a stock Renault R5 Turbo at 7000cr. Eventually it turned into a bidding war. I left after it hit 16,000cr. I looked and there was another R5 for auction, end time in just a minute, starting at 20,000cr and no one had bid on it. I put in my bid and got the car with no challenges. In addition to the car, I also got this rad Martini livery and quite a few rally mods. Meanwhile, the first stock R5 eventually sold at 39,000Cr. So I came out way ahead. The lesson is, don't get so caught up in a bidding war that you forget to check for other cars.

Does anyone know what action actually unlocks the auction house? Im level 69 and have all four sites open at level 3 or higher and the Auction House tab is greyed out for me. Do i need to do some online activity?

Im on the PC platform btw.

It looks like a lot of fun I'm missing out on..

Sounds like a connectivity issue (no connection with auction house). You should have it available at that level. Can you play online, share tunes, etc.?

I buy 90% of my cars at the auction house.

The cheap bargains plus the fact that you can buy cars that may be "used" its a cool factor that improves the experience imho. Specialy for older cars.

Also, doing some replicas and building cars with care to sell on the auction house shows good results. It would be awesome if we could make some sort of title when placing it to sell.

I just hope they improve the speed of it and well, the servers. Lost 5 or 6 good deals last night because of the lag.

Nevermind, situation corrected. I think it must have been a server problem.

Thanks, I actually seem to have somehow sorted it out. I noticed when i went to the online paints section it said not available due to parental settings on my xbox account. I logged into xbox.com -> xbox settings -> privacy and online safety.

I basically made everything as "allowed" or available to everyone and it seems to start working after that.

blew 1.4 million now on a HE focus RS and M4.. good stuff!
