I tried to search the colour sheet first, but it would only let me see the first page of colours?

With its return coming soon, would it be possible to get HSV's Hazard Yellow, please?

Hmmm, wonder why I can only view the first page of the sheet? Wouldn't even let me search it.
I’m not sure why that is :/ I just looked at the chart myself and Hazard Yellow is there :) Maybe your page didn’t load properly or you didn’t clear your cache or something? I have quite a few HSV colors that I did that are on the chart that are all under Holden :)

Must be a Google Drive issue, as I got it to open fully when viewed in Chrome. Now I know! Thanks for your assistance.

Thank you, I will do may best of research next time

Not to sound pedantic, but technically, what we require people like you to do is not research. Research is the process of finding answers to questions, which leads to the discovery of new qustions to be answered. I'm sorry. I couldn't resist. My dad is a teacher.

Hey guys, I have 2 colour requests for you if you don't mind. I checked and re-checked both the thread and the document and I'm pretty sure neither of these has been done so I really hope I've not missed them lol. They are McLaren's "Aztec Gold" and "Supernova Silver." I did see one comment asking about Supernova but I don't think anyone responded. Here's some pictures:

I tried to get a variety of different lighting conditions to get a proper idea of how they look. I also saw that McLaren's "Amethyst Black" is listed as a Two-Tone Polished colour but wouldn't it be a Metal Flake colour given that it's metallic and not a TVR-esque colour-shift? Maybe I'm wrong I just thought I'd clarify.

(Side note; that first silver car really makes me wish we could customize interiors because that silver car with the tan leather looks really classy imo.)

So I did some Googling, and as it turns out, Lunar Storm is also Desert Khaki, which is a Subaru color. They both share the same paint code. Interesting :)

It turns out, I did Desert Khahi a long time ago. I thought that name sounded familiar when you brought it up last night, but I wasn't sure. I checked my spreadsheet, and I was right. I'll just remove Lunar Storm from my post from yesterday and make a note in the post with Desert Khaki.

Since we have Holden's and HSV's, why not add another group of Aussies?

I already did Volcano Gray Metallic for the Porsche :embarrassed: You just used the German name of it lol I did it way back on April 13th. It’s been on the chart since then :) In regards to cars that have German names as well, I’d check the chart because some of them use the German name and some of them use the English name. This applies mostly to BMW, Audi, Porsche, Volkswagen, etc.

I also just looked at the chart and you added your color right under the version I did lol

I figured I would add my version alongside yours, since both are equally accurate.

I think what I’m going to do from now on for cars like that is in the notes I’ll add either the German name or English name, depending on which naming scheme I add to the chart. I make sure when doing cars like that to check on the chart if the name is German or English, so I don’t end up doing the same thing. I’d prefer it if we didn’t have multiples of the same color on the chart, but I’m not going to discredit your work or make you take yours off. People can use either your version or my version if they so choose to do. Do note, however, that for mine I used the actual paint chip. And no, I’m not talking about the stuff on PaintRef either because as we know those are approximations and not the actual colors at all. They don’t show the flake for metallic paints whatsoever. I have my own source for the actual paint chips.

It's not just German manufactures that do this; I've seen brands from other countries use a mix of names in English and their own language. There have even been times where a manufacturer will use two languages in one color name. For example, Ferrari's Arancio Vaguely comes to mind. This doen't happen very often, but it does happen. Also, I knew that your color and my color were the same color. I didn't do my version because I thought it was separate from yours. It wasn't until I was adding my colors to the spreadsheet that I saw you had done that color. I most likely saw it in your post back in April, but I had since forgotten about that. I didn't want to let my version go to waste, because it is accurate, so I did what I did. This same thing happened with Lamborghini's Verde Ermes/Hermes, where I knew they were the same color, but I had just forgotten you had done it. Getting back to the naming thing, I think it makes sense to consistently have one language in the "Color Name" column, and the other language in the "Comments" column
