What car are you using? A colleague of mine was trying it for hours and hours on our lunch break at work but he got there eventually. I used the Hoonitruck on it as it's basically cheat mode for drifting because of how sideways you can get it!

Reading this inspired me to give it another go, with Don Joewon Song's gymkhana V1 tune it still took me a while but the first time I managed to complete a run without spinning I got just over 100k!

Is that the one somewhat in the middle of the map? I think I hold the GTP record in an A class Morris Traveler

I've used the Hoonitruck. I've also used all seven Formula Drift cars, the Diberti Silverado, a drift-tuned NA Miata I was promised can three-star every drift zone, the BMW M6 FE, a drift-tuned Jag XK120, and about a dozen other cars. I even tried a fully modded Peel Trident. Nothing works for me.

Ah, but have you tried the BMW Isetta? I think I've got double the 3 star scores on almost all of the Island's zones with it, although, granted, I have had a bit of practice :) I recently uploaded a second tune for it (bit more power, better brakes) that works pretty well, but you might find the first one easier.

I also got a boost from switching from auto to manual gears - with both though, control of throttle is really important, mostly it stays around 50%-ish with a good car, with brief pulses to get the rear end out, and sometimes full blat for a long corner.

PS. I don't get on with the drift cars well. I mean, I can drift them, but I don't score highly.

Another thing off my list is the 2004 Impreza, finally got one yesterday, so that just leaves the E63 as far as wheelspin cars go. I've also got a fair number of cars left in the Autoshow, most of which are in the 1-2.5M and >5M brackets, I think I'd actually have to earn more than I already have since day 1 (100M) just to buy all the 10M cars I have left there so I guess I'll leave them until last and get them from the AH if I don't get them from spins sooner.

Am I doing something wrong for that final step of the weekly Forzathons with buggies?

I’ve been driving cross country in free roam through the map for like 10 minutes and I only have 0.02/10.00 miles done for the challenge to drive a buggy in open fields. Does it need to be on dirt roads or so?

I just went in a straight line across the map, don't follow any roads

I did mine going up and down the motorway. Actually going offroad didn't register any mileage for whatever reason.

Snagged the final wheelspin exclusive car I was missing tonight. Typically I wait for ages for one to pop up and then I bagged two Crown Vics within 15mins. Out of all the cars the only ones I actually won in spins were the Civic 04, Lotus 2-Eleven and GT-R LM, the last two aren't even rare to find in the auction house and the Civic I only won yesterday.

I just drove up and down the beach for a little while, sticking to the flat section nearer the water.

I am starting some time trials in my spare time. Taking every car through the respective goliath type tracks.

I have finished them all in a few cars.

Just to refresh, these are the tracks I am doing.

The Collosus
The Marathon
The Juggernaut
The Kraken
The Leviathan
The Gauntlet
The Titan
The Goliath

For the dirt ones(Leviathan, Gauntlet, Titan) I add dirt tires and rally suspension but otherwise I keep cars stock.

I will make a thread when I get 20 or so done.

Anyone else here use sim steering with a pad?

Having switched to it this week, I find that it's a lot more forgiving than the last couple of games; so, you get the bonus of more direct turn-in and better sense of weight without sim twitch being as much of an issue, if at all.

The racing trucks, in particular, benefit greatly from sim steering. Under normal steering, I cannot get them around motorway roundabouts gracefully, but with sim steering, they just...turn.

I really suggest giving it a try, especially if you feel like your left stick gets brickwalled at 90% input.

I've always played any Forza title with sim steering enabled and I use a controller. I just learned to play with it on from the get-go. I tried Normal once and it was too dampened for me, so I've kept it on sim since.

Is the Marathon the fastest way to grind street scene levels?

I only race it on expert because I find it difficult to ensure a win every time on any higher difficulty. Despite having a 720S PO and several top 300 speed zones I’m outbraked and getting overtaken round the outside by Audi RS6s, the rubber-banding in this particular race is far worse than the rest of the game it seems and the points won (even with VIP) barely seem to move the progress bar. I think I’m only on level 11 too and I’m supposed to grind up to 18 to get the Hoonigan Porsche? Is it really this frustrating for everyone else or am I missing a much better or easier race to grind on?

Despite having a 720S PO

Use the GT-R LM FE. I don't always win, because of rubberbanding Atoms (who knew the AI's perfect car control combined with an already extremely agile car and rubberbanding speed 'balancing' would result in such a difficult opponent?), but it has an influence boost and mastery perks that increase it further if I remember correctly which make it a good earner. It's also very fast and handles like it's on rails, I love driving mine.

I'm sure you know but in case you don't, the R390 has a mastery perk to unlock it, unlike the Sagaris FE it's not ludicrously expensive in terms of skill points and the R390 is only what, 650k?

Do we have an exact date for when the garage gets it's capacity increase? I'm going to have to stop playing since mine is full and I don't have any cars that I want to get rid of.

Perhaps January 15th.
JONK1969 says it is planning to update the garage capacity in January and it is announced that the update of McLaren 650S Spider will be scheduled on this day.

Ugh. Hopefully they won't release too many cars between now and then. Otherwise, I'm going to have to rethink about a lot of the vehicles I currently own.

Or put some on the auction house at max buyout and hope they dont sell.

Just completed the weekly bonus without receiving the Forzathon Points, yet again. This time I actually paid attention and double checked my totals before and after. I'm surprised this hasn't been fixed yet.

I am very near capacity myself, keep auctioning cars I don't want and/or are duplicates but some never sell! Don't want to just remove them though :banghead:
