Last time I had a Xbox was about 10 years ago and their hoppers at that time had all different online classes and I was hooked on Renault Clio sport races around Road Atlanta.

Can’t say I’ll be too into anything ‘The Crew’ like but this might fun for a bit?

Weird timeline we're living in now. Never thought I'd see the day it would happen.

Microsoft: "This is an Xbox"
(literally advertises that anything can be an Xbox, from actual Xbox consoles, PC's, smartphones, tablets, Amazon Fire Sticks and standalone TV's)

Everyone, including Playground and Turn Ten: "The PS5 is now an Xbox"

This is a very smart move on Microsoft Xbox Turn Ten....

"Since we can't get a few of those Sony loyalists to get an Xbox, or even get the PC version,
Since they are not coming to us, being as busy as they are waiting for the next GT update and complaining about it in between,
Then we will come to them..."

This is Turn 10's submission, so
I think I might do it now... I would also suggest they release the regular Forza too...

Might as well...

That's pretty much the only way for someone like me, to even try the Forza series...

I cannot be bothered getting an Xbox , nor getting a PC just for it....

Smart move...

Way better than The Crew imo.
I have been screwed by the Crew a few times....
I really hope I won't be with this either....

I have a feeling I will tho, philosophically, this sort of game isn't my cup of tea...

If they have a major sale, I will get it

But I would be more interested if they offer the regular any The Forza....

Link to the games store page.

Anyway it's fine, no need to explain, just another news site I will stop visiting. Cheers.
Considering most people would just do it on their console (because most game store web interfaces are terrible, PlayStation's especially), this seems like a weirdly specific deal-breaker.

Excellent news although I’m personally somewhat tired of ”festival racers” at this point. Mexico as a location doesn’t really entice me either and the map itself affirms the lack of appeal from my side.

Anyway, regardless of what I think, seeing Forza Horizon come to Playstation is absolutely wild. Excited to see what they’ve been up to with FH6.

Its the Biff timeline.

I thought they’d go for FH6 multiplatform first. It would be huge for that game and player base.

FH5 is already end of life with updates on Xbox and just launching on ps5. It still pretty much kills the need for The Crew Motorfest though.

I get the feeling the PS5 version may ironically end up being the definitive way to play on consoles, as Panic Button managed to tie up a few little oversights and details in their Series X/S ports of FH4 (most notably all the paddle shifters being animated instead of static) which tightened the whole thing up.

Cross progression would make me switch sides in all honesty, though that’s far too unlikely to happen.

Guffawed at this 👍
I hate manure!

It's great for PS5 owners that they will be able to play it.

For those of us feeling the Horizon theme is potentially getting a bit stale, don't forget those on PS potentially haven't played ANY of the Horizon games yet, so FH5 is going to seem very fresh to them (albeit they may have been playing The Crew: Motorsport already).

Also, I feel there's plenty of room for GT7, FH5 and TC:M on PS5. But I DO see player levels dropping off on GT7 and TC:M , at least while people try out the "new toy".

If you haven't played it it's new to you; and statistically speaking it coming to PS5 (and rumored to Switch 2 as well) means there's a lot of untapped market that hasn't played it.
Old is old no matter if you have played it or not. I’m asking because Forza games usually get retired from the market after a few years. FH5 is reaching that point soon, unless it gets to live for longer.

The best selling racing game of all time (by a humongous margin) was a port of a three year old game.

I mean clearly Microsoft isn't going to release it on PS5 (and allegedly Switch 2) in a few months, then shut it down at the end of the year.
