Forza Horizon 6 - General Discussion

I think it might be early to discuss, but what do you think the two expansions might be?

I personally think the expansions would be: the Kansai region (Osaka and Kyoto) for new region/terrain, and for the fun or toy-themed expansion, part of me thinks it might either be a Tomica or Ridge Racer expansion.

As for the latter, Tomica is the most popular line of toy cars, while another reason to believe why it could be a possible tie-in with Ridge Racer is because Bandai Namco want other developers to license their dormant IP's, with Ridge Racer being one of them, and that the idea of it is the second-most voted suggestion relating to Forza Horizon partnerships.

I think they might take the Choro-Q approach in terms of the fantasy expansion, if they partner with Takara Tomy, or bring some of Tomica's fictional lineups, such as Tomica Hyper Series to the Horizon Festival.

There's little scope for them to do so, but I'd love it if they managed to add in a Sumi-e or Ukiyo-e filter to the photomode. I know they'd have to render it differently, but it would be so fitting for the setting.
 
Today I was watching videos on TikTok and I saw one about the Inunaki Tunnel. After that, I thought, "Wow, this takes place in Japan and has a lot to do with Japanese automotive culture." So I thought that, in the game, there might be a chance the tunnel would be an edge of the map, like in FH2 on Xbox 360 where there are closed streets on the edge of the map, and maybe there would be a Touge battle against the Nissan Silva S13 from urban legend. But then I remembered that the tunnel is located in the southern region of Japan (near Fukuoka City), which certainly won't be an area represented in the game (maybe a future DLC). So my idea wouldn't materialize. But I thought, PG said they're making a representation of Japan and not a copy-and-paste, so for me there's still a small possibility that the tunnel is located on the map. If not, I believe there's some reference to the tunnel in the game.

Sure, let the game reference a real crime site where on 6 December 1988, five young men abducted and tortured a factory worker whose car they wanted to steal, burning him to death with gasoline inside the old tunnel. This will really be a selling point. :dunce:

If I get Xbox One Series X Premium version of FH6, will that Premium version of FH6 work on my PS5 Pro too? I doubt it but... just in case. I'm willing to wait for the PS5 Version to get the Premium otherwise.

damn bro the story I heard was that someone was racing in the tunnel on the S13 and there was an accident, then they closed the tunnel because it would be dangerous to walk there. I never knew that had happened.

Hopefully just as Forza Horizon 6 will be great, I really want a new better NFS game with cockpit view and Dynamic and Switchable (like Heat) Timecycle and Weather, and knowing that thats the only series with cops and nitrous. I do love playing both NFS Rivals and Heat on my laptop, including the ps2 and psp ones in pcsx2 and ppsspp emulators.
Hot Pursuit 2 is also crazy good.

I have so far only played Forza Motorsport 4 in Xenia Canary, Forza Horizon 1 and 2 again in xenia, and Forza Horizon 2 Demo and FM 6 Demo on og Xbone.
I kinda skipped 3, 4 and 5 these days for now and also having less space for them, especially I had been without GTA V Enhanced for months.

And yes I do lurk on Resetera too, so Hi from me man.

On a side note, is this confirmation that we have a 12 player convoy/race limit? I might have posted it before, but none of the gameplay footage had more than 12 cars at once (I haven't checked/counted car meets yet).


Edit: The night time car meet scene has 9 cars in it (with the Nismo GT-R), the day time shot (with the scargo FE) has 10 cars and the scene with the LFA and MC20 driving out has 8 cars. The drag strip scene has the highest at 12 cars.

I'd love to hear Don Thompson back on the FH airwaves, but I e said that already.

My other wish is that JakeXVX returns with his YouTube channel. I fully understand why he quit and totally respect his decision to have done so. However, JakeXVX if you do read this then know this. I for one would love to see you broadcasting again bud please.
