...The 430 will be in there, but I would expect the 360 and 355 to stay in as well.

What always excited me about Forza was the fact that it had the big guns of the sports car market (Ferrari and Porsche) in a simulation environment similar to that of GT4. With the added models from BMW and Lamborghini, the game sould have another layer of addiction added, as they were two marques missed greatley in Forza 1.

...And hopefully they learn from their friends at MGS who did PGR3, as downloadable cars through the XBLM would be a great idea to make the game stay current with the real-world automobiles.

I'm not easily impressed about pure sports cars, but I'll admit... Forza knows the sports car business like the back of their collective hands. Here is the Gamespot feed I'm working with (because IGNore is crap): { http://www.gamespot.com/xbox360/driving/forzamotorsport2/index.html?q=Forza Motorsport }.

Maybe the "crap graphics" comments directed to Forza Motorsport 1 (even by me in the past) lead Microsoft to make things look much better. It isn't an insult. Forza Motorsport 2 looks 50 times better than Forza 1. The two pictures Gamespot provides (as of this post) show off the graphical quality of the cars on a next-gen console. No point in old graphics on a new console for a new game, right? Try to show off something new.

And I agree. Not nice BMW... SWEET BMW.

I am looking forward to the wide range of cars in game, but I hope the AMV8 makes it in game.

Aston was not a stranger in the last Forza, and it still surprises me that they had the DB9. My guess would be that the Vantage will be in there, and if were lucky, they might have a DBS bodykit waiting for us as well...

I'm looking forward to the race cars. Champion Audi(LMP and Speed GT), Panoz LMP, Cadillac LMP were great to see in the first one. I'm sure they'll be adding to their impressive list of genuine race cars for Forza 2.

It's funny how people can think of 230 cars as "wide ranging," but by golly, they were. The cars in Forza weren't inflated with variation fillers like Gran Turismo's always is. Not that I dislike that kind of thing, I like it very much. But Forza focuses on more discreet individual cars, and allows you to create the variations yourself. With the wide selection of performance enhancement and body kits, you can have a stock Mustang, a riced up street rod, and a full blown race car complete with a paint scheme you design yourself! And evidently you can have almost as many of anything as you want.

With the car count bumped up about 70 or more, I'm looking forward to seeing what Turn 10/Team Forza has in store for us. Maybe we'll be able to race mod up those Ferraris and Lambourghinis! That would be the ultimate in sweetness.

ALL CARS ARE FULLY CUSTOMIZABLE!!!

Ferraris, Lambos and Porsches with other spoilers and/or bodykits!!!

All i ever dreamed in GT!!!

got a question....will Forza 2 have actally cockpit view?

regards

chris
I should think so. The Xbox360 is way capable of doing them. Plus, it's about half the reason why I like these next-gen racing games, so I will be very dissapointed if it wasn't included.

No it's been stated it will not as they want to make the end 2006 release date and to model the interior of 300 cars would take to long. There will be a bonnet/hood view though.

Interesting. I suppose it makes sense...

I would prefer they spend more time on the game, but I guess you can't get everything.

Well that's a bit ****e, it takes time to do yeah, but I'm not as interested in next gen graphics as I'm interested in next gen immersion.

the trailer was rubbish.

stupid in your face music, obnoxious cg RACING ACTION!!!1!

The producer said the trailer was in no way representative of the game, and that it didnt use the game engine whatsoever, and that he was in fact not amused by it, so here's to hoping...

I wanted to see something running on the game engine. Oh well. I'd rather it came out this year than see an elaborate E3 showing.

i hope the wireless wheel is good. it sure looks the ****.

I really prefer the hood cam view myself. It's the best of all views in one as far as I'm concerned. I'd rather have a driver cam I can position myself, but keep hope alive. With downloadable content, maybe they can wedgie in more than new cars, tracks and music. ;)

They promise 60fps just like the PGR2 and 3 team aswell as Forza 1. why even bother promising, I'd rather be suprised by it then dissapointied. But the no intereiors must be a rumor. Why not polish it rather than rush it...... delay this game and make the best it can be and give the fans what they want.

I think they're trying to beat anything serious as far as racing from Sony for the Christmas holiday season. It's possible that Gran Turismo 5 might be pushed back till summer or fall of 2007, and a Forza 2 title might get a lot of GT fans to give the cheaper 360 a hard look. I'm already determined to get one myself just to play Forza 2. And, there's a chance that a GT4.5 will be out for the PS2 launch, which would hurt the 360 if Forza 2 wan't available. Either way, Microsoft really needs as many A-List titles available to get the system to sell, and racing is one of those areas which the 360 needs content badly. To this day, I still don't see a single game that makes me even mildly interested in a 360. Christmas, and Forza 2, changes everything. ;)

GT5 can't be pushed back since we've had nothing but a hopefull date that could be anytime from the PS3's launch to a year and a half after. So even for arguments sake, there's no push back if it appears within that time which provided the PS3 is on selves in November, leaves us sitting in 2008.

I would be really surprised if it has been completely "confirmed" that Forza 2 would do without the in-car view, as the game has allready been in production for the last 12 to 18 months. Sure, they may not have done it, but it would be pretty dissapointing if they did without, now that we have all been spoiled with games like PGR3 and TDU.

More info is probably comming on the game, and I would figure by late June or early July, better specs of the game would be released.

Sorry mate. I posted this a couple of days ago at forzacentral.

In-car camera -- no in-car camera this time around. Keep in mind, we're trying to hit our 2006 release date; modeling 300+ interiors is very expensive indeed. We will, however, feature a hood view. One of the reasons why we didn't do a hood view in Forza 1 is because customized liveries looked awful when you were zoomed into the hood view due to low res textures. Now, we're going to have high-res textures, the reflection mapping updating at 60fps, etc. so it not only works, it also looks good. You should also still be able to use the right analog stick to pan left and right for situational awareness.

... on crashes

And lastly, crashing will be even more intense and dramatic this time around. Not talking about how just yet but stay tuned, etc. You know the routine.

^^^Meh, no big deal. It's not like I'm not going to buy the game because of it, lol. Its a bit of a dissapointment, but I do understand from the development perspective. I would much rather have the game sooner than later I suppose, and just the news that ya'all will have street BMWs and Lamborghinis allready gets the game a "buy" rating for me...

i would have gotten the 360 and forza if there would be cockpit view...but if there isnt...i cant wait for ps3 and even though a delayed gt5....

anyway thanks

For me the BMW's and Lambo's don't make me want the game more, it's good that they're in, but they won't add to the realsim or immersion of the game, I'd have rathered either less car's and in car camera's, or to wait a bit longer and get in car camera's. Not having an in car camera is a big negative in relation to sim' in my book, it's the only view I use when the game has one.
