Forza Motorsport 4 my impressions

I can't justify paying the xbox live sub, plus the cost of buying another console, wheel, and kinect for just one game.

Kinect isn't really essential and considering most of the current multiplat racers are better on xbox, it might be worth it.

It hurts to pay for XBL, but it's definitely worth it.

Which other tracks are "nowhere close" to how they should be?

I was wondering the same thing. There are tracks that are off in GT5 as well, though it's made out that because a couple areas on FM3 are wider in the ring, that all the tracks are off.

This seems to be the normal complaint from people and sadly only the Nurburgring's green hell is what isn't as accurate as GT5's. It's not 'nowhere close' to how they should be because otherwise everytime I took a car in Forza's Nordschleife I wouldn't be thinking I'm on another track. I know for a fact that I'm on Nordschleife, albeit a good one but not the best version of it. It's not GT5 good but it's still good and very close. Tracks like La Sarthe and Laguna Seca are almost the same in both games, and in both I still know I'm on La Sarthe and Laguna Seca.

I've seen my fair share of complaints from GT fans (and likewise Forza fans) where they bought the console, a wheel, the game, the vision system (PSeye/Kinect) for head tracking, even bought or built a custom game pod/wheel stand for 1 game franchise but won't for the other. So why can't they do that for the competing console/game/etc?

I must agree, after playing a lot with FM3, the tracks in GT and FM3 are very similar and accurate... But the Ring in FM3 is a shame... No excuses can be accepted... That is ridiculous... And that with on of the best and most important tracks in the world...

Its like implementing an Ferrari and giving it an 50hp engine... Then there is no need for implementing an Ferrari...

Your opinion about one of the best tracks in the world.

Not my opinion, I prefer more traditional circuits (real life).
Don't care too much about The new York one either TBH.

Would I prefer it to be a perfect representation? Yes of course I would but when I'm racing around it in in FM3 I'm not thinking, this is wrong or it's so much better in GT5. I'm thinking, wow this is intense, I love this track. It might not be a perfect representation but it's still and absolute blast to drive around it.

IMO, Road America is the best most important track in the world, and they NAILED it with FM4.
