I also remembered seeing that they planned to add the McMurtry Spierling, that EV track day concept machine with fan car technology that was fast as ****.
i heared they mentioning they paused working on car beacuse it was too fast or something like that, it was found on game files but who knows
Another Oreca 07 with slightly more weight/less restrictor would be a pretty pointless addition... but also a very low-effort addition, and with the state of things now it doesn't seem outside the realms of possibility. I guess it would be non-DLC version of the Oreca for people to use, but at the same time doing stuff like that devalues the Car Pass.

Speaking of the Car Pass, damn when we are gonna finally get the Camaro Trans Am car? It was on the SteamDB list with the other Car Pass cars but got moved off the list. After the rework of Forza GT, the Trans Am cars are now useless for a lot of people, and they can't make a "Forza TA" hopper or series until there is a non-DLC car to use. Those are fun, unique cars so it would be cool to see them make a return... even if 90% of the playerbase can't control them.

i think those 2 would be great options to make free options for P2 and TA hoppers, i think those 2 will eventually happen, even if NASCAR cars are the most popular stock cars in the moment

Was racing in the Modern Hot Hatch series yesterday (using the Golf R as it’s almost at level 50) and I was really enjoying these races on these tracks :) Relatively simple cars like the i30N, GR Yaris, Veloster N, Megane RS and Golf R are a must in Forza and should be part of a permanent career.

Every time that they add these great series, it just reminds me how almost all the puzzle pieces for a good game are present in FM2023. They just need to connect them.

What I’d really like to see is a new career tab called something like ‘The Sportscar Cup’ with like 5 different permanent series of each 5-7 races or so:

1. Mazda MX5 Cup
2. GT4 championship
3. Lamborghini Super Trofeo or Ferrari 488 Challenge
4. Intercontinental GT3 series
5. LMDH/LMH - Word Championship (both IMSA and WEC circuits)

i think they could made a lot of championships with lots of cars
i would prefer they focused on other classes of racing besides GT tho, i like the focus on prototypes and Stock Cars beacuse of it, there has too much serious racing games focused on GT3/GT4, we need more touring cars, stock cars and stuffs like LeMons and SCCA, i wish the game had a option like iracing to select a number to each car and maybe have you select where the number would show up in the car and what number you would have as priority

I saw it at Goodwood last year, it's like watching life on fast-forward.
I could only imagine. I just saw a video this morning of one that raced a 992 GT3RS and it absolutely smoked it, made it look like a Nissan Altima in a straight line and in a tight curve. It's also a 1 seater I believe so I imagine it wouldn't be easy for T10 to get a proper recording of the car unless they were able to get special permission and the balls to drive one themselves. 1.3 seconds to 60.....my goodness!

Sadly GT3 is such a trend thing now it's inescapable, despite every racing game out there having a bunch of them and everyone driving them all the time (usually at the same 3 goddamn tracks too), everyone somehow wants even more of them as number 1 priority...

But yeah I'd much prefer to see them focus on bringing in some lesser known series and/or less common, more entry-level series cars. Something like the South Korean Superrace Super 6000 series (preferably the Cadillac era, I'd imagine the Toyota era would be hard to license having Chev V8s in them), Brazilian V8 stock cars, Trans Am TA2, Mitjet 2L (lol, but also seriously), GR86 Cup, Aussie Racing Cars, Audi TT Cup, those old Megane Super Trophy cars, Renault Spider Cup, Excel Series, etc.

They could also be creative and just make their own sort of "Forza Edition" style spec cars. We saw in that early trailer for the game they had all those Apollo IE things with numbers and liveries racing at Laguna Seca. That was goofy as supposedly only 10 of those cars were made, but the idea could be a cool one if T10 had the creativity and motivation, and especially if they didn't just focus on hypercars that 90% of the playerbase can't drive and don't even provide very good/close racing for the 10% that can control them.

Where I suppose T10 will add more cars in future updates, is in the Vintage Trans Am division that they created when they added Parnelli Jones' Mustang.

A division with a single car doesn't make sense.
Considering we have all the regular versions of the vintage trans am cars in game it couldn't hurt them to add the actual race versions too. The AMC, z/28 Camaro, Challenger R/T, Plymouth Barracuda, Pontiac Firebird needs to fill out this division.

Have done a few races in the Daily Races series so far, just messing around with builds and not being particularly competitive, but one thing that I love about these types of events, is that the restrictions means there's a few less "meme" cars. I'm all for choice, but joining a D class lobby and seeing the field filled mostly with P550's, or random other purpose built race cars, is a little jarring. In contrast, the field is just filled with hot-hatches, and it's a load of fun, also as a bonus each race gets you closer to getting the GR Yaris, which is nice too.

^ The Daily Racers Featured Lobby thing gets you both the Yaris and the Ioniq so two birds with one stone.

The Clio V6 (the mid-engine one) is very OP and its very solid acceleration off the line tends to make guys from deep in the field pile into turn 1 4+ wide and cause chaos. It also gets great tire wear, on top of its other stats being solid. There's a build for the i30 N that uses an engine swap that is strong enough to keep up with soso drivers in the Clio at least, FRA Waller has a solid tune for it.

My races were a mixed bag though, I had a few okay races, a few boring races, and a few abysmal races. Usually I find the behavior at the front of the field to be pretty fine, but I had multiple races where people would just turn into me on straights trying to push me off the track trying to defend their lead. If I got rammed early and had to recover through the field, I swear more than half of the people just turn into me at the corner like I'm not there (makes the AI seem pretty realistic though), even when I have spent the last 10 seconds side by side drag racing down the front straight so they should know I'm there even if they don't have arrows/radar/other people's engine sounds turned on. I also had several instances of people starting hot on slick tires and then wearing them out, and when I caught them they just tried to wreck me before they quit.

I see people suggest "the problem" with the game that is keeping player numbers low is that there aren't multiplayer hoppers for every class etc, but I think diluting the player pool isn't the answer. On the other hand, basically everyone I know avoids hoppers because of how bad the driving standard is, especially mid-pack guys where it is extra messy. I think that actually making a match-making system that puts drivers of similar safety rating in the same lobby would do more for player numbers, as then clean/considerate players wouldn't end up avoiding most of the lobbies, which further skews the player pool towards the rammers and morons making it even rarer for someone to have a good race.

Personally, I'd rather have a race with 8 people in the lobby that I feel like I can actually share the track with, than 20+ people where half of them can't drive down a straightaway 2 wide without causing a wreck, intentional or otherwise.

I've had mostly good experiences in the Daily Racer's series so far, only faced a single rammer, and that guy got his karma the very next corner when he tried to block me and he went wide instead, recovered with a nice P5 so can't complain about that.

I have certainly seen a few Clio's, I haven't tried it in this series yet, but it seems a natural car to use with it's engine configuration and rear wheel drive. I've mainly been racing a 2003 Golf R32 with an I4T swap and RWD, initially it had some wicked oversteer, but managed to get it sorted with some wider tires, more aero and softening the front ARB's, I'm a terrible tuner, but I managed to get it to feel good, and finished my evening with the above-mentioned P5, so happy with my lot today.

I agree with you, I see many folks want "all" the lobbies, but even with GT7 that's not realistic, I see some people complain about that games concurrency sometimes, and considering the population of FM is much lower, we need less lobbies not more. Obviously some better matchmaking would go a long ways to make for more clean and consistent racing, at this stage I doubt they are in a position to try to re-design things to separate Qualy/Race lobbies such that matchmaking happens once you have put a qualy lap in, but that would probably be the answer, also gamifying the physics somewhat like GT7 does to try and mitigate collisions as best as possible, the bumps in GT7 are far from realistic, but probably help keep cars on the track when racing in tight quarters, obviously first step there is to properly fix the Forza glue.

With that said, things seem to be going in the right direction, matchmaking in the most quiet times seems to take longer than it usually does in this latest update. Anecdotally for me, I've not had a lobby with less than 10 players this update, and it's probably the first time I've had 20+ in my lobbies for 6 months now. I'm from NZ so when I get online it's not exactly prime time, so to get consistently populated lobbies is nice to see.

Even just dividing it into 3 groups based on safety rating, with one for S and A, one for B and C, and a GTA Online style dunce cap lobby for D and below would be a big improvement. If you can manage to keep an S rating with all the nonsense that goes on in these lobbies, you shouldn't be subjected to people who can't even go 2-wide on the backstraight at Hakone without hitting you. While they are at it, making it so you can see the safety ratings of the people in the lobby would help too, so you know who to avoid.

I play evenings Pacific time and usually have 18-22 in most lobbies that I do, which is mostly either "Spec" or the Touring Car lobby with the occasional GT2/3 outing when it's a track I like coming up in the rotation. Sometimes you can get off-cycle with the fuller lobby and end up in one that has 6 or 8 for one race, but it usually corrects itself. I know the featured ones tend to die out once everyone earns their FOMO cars, and the multiclass ones with 4 classes for Mustang and BMW month seemed to die real quick, probably because the racing was awful.

While I certainly don't notice every one, I don't often run into people I recognize in the lobbies so I sorta feel like the numbers aren't as bad as people make it out to be, even if they aren't exactly good numbers either.

While some people complain needlessly, others play the game and dig dipper
it looks that Oreca P2 and Lambo Hypercar are coming to the game, at least there has some people around the web saying that there had forza reddit posts about it

someone can confirm the info?
Sounds like some insiders will no longer be insiders for violating the NDA.

Well damn. Those images confirm something don't they. Next months velocity update most likely...or seriously photoshopped/AI?🤔
The photo looks the the way it does for a reason. They’re trying to hide their identity.

Edit*
Whoever posted that screenshot has quite possibly given themselves away.

The insider's program is really great, it would be a shame if the play-tests were pared back because people can't keep things private.
