it clearlly lacks more watermarks and systems to make sure peoplle dont be able to take photos this way
if sports streamings are able to do it, T10 and Xbox is able to do it as well
Hi, As someone that is in the preview program. There is a watermark, It's actually massive and covers almost the entire top & bottom of the screen with text and your gamertag. But there isn't any watermark in the middle of the screen, to make it easy for us playtester to actually play the game.

Usually I dont like reviews that trash the game, but this DustinEven was a ok one, it have some points i do agree like more econocars like K-Cars to tune into racing cars, also find a way to keep the monthly events permaments instead of the actual FOMO

Still i dont get the point about the menus, like, do he expects every game to be NFS Unbonded or Gran Turismo 4?

overall it is brings a point (that i wanted bring here and thus why i posted the video here): does they shouldnt start to focus in the people that only play the game each 2/3 months instead of the usual FOMO thing? or they should keep this way?

my suggestion: do like Forza Motorsport 4, put all events you can put there and dont take them away after some time, if you want to do timed events, do so on multiplayer, open class cups and maybe unlock a new cup by week or something like this

Wow... Looks like I'll never get a certain golden Nissan. I can't drift to save my life

That sounds a little too convenient. I imagine altering the visual image may reveal something.

I said it before last week, the Daily Racer's event is awesome. I'll say it again this week now that it's A class, had a great race in the Dark Horse after dropping to the back at T1 and recovering for a P4.

I just love these series that offer the opportunity to build a car, and then race against similar body types, it feels much more like a real race day compared to the usual open class races filled with random meta oddities.

Yep, basically make a modern Forza Motorsport 4 career. People will love it.

I discovered something last night and I'm pretty happy about it. Thought I would share incase anyone hasn't tried it.
This is for Wheel users. I never cared for the way the wheel went pretty dead every time the front tires lost grip. It's pretty taxing feeling your wheel go dead and then come back for every little slip. Plus it seems that other FFB such as suspension load, would also be numb.
When setting up my wheel initially, I like to do the extremes for each setting to see exactly what they are doing, usually around 10, drive around, then around 90, drive around. However in Dynamic Damper Behavior, something happens when you turn it up all the way to 100% and I missed this. It's like it turns off the feature completely. I tried 98, still dead understeer, tried 99, still dead understeer, but on 100, the FFB transformed into something that is better than what I've gotten out of FM so far. You still have the lightened wheel effect on understeer put much less pronounced. However, I also noticed that you still get the other FFB effects at the same time now. Suspension load and self-righting opposite force now come through while still feeling that lightening of the front tire understeer. And it comes through much more at the centering of the wheel.
If you haven't tried this, it's worth giving it a try.
Crazy how one setting can change that much.

I was surprised to find that the whole "damping" effect, or whatever it's doing, is turned off at 100.
Even overtake got this description wrong:

Sure that's what normal damping usually does and I was lead to believe it was normal damping myself. I kept it at 0. I'm on a Fanatec DD2 and don't usually need a lot of damping if any at all. At 0, the understeer effect is still very prominent. At 100, it goes away and the FFB come alive. You can see a difference from 99 to 100. It's as if at 100 everything on that effect goes away.

So I watched Dustin's video and I have to agree with him on a few points.

The lack of events in career mode. This is a big one. The lack of variety in events. The lack of events for racecars was a good point too. In the 360 era we had stuff like V8 Supercars events, DTM, multiclass, Ferrari v Porsche, turbo, four cylinder etc etc. The career mode is starved for content so why are races cut from career mode. The answer being FOMO. Do the races in the series to get the prize car and then the series just disappears. They should stay. And the whole time limit of winning a prize car should go too because its not fun. It doesn't encourage experimentation with builds. For me personally its like I've got limited time to do this (besides work and everything else that competes for my time) so lets just get this done at minimal difficulty with a stock car. Because if I don't get this done I don't get the car that won't be accessible probably at anytime in the game's future. At least with Horizon you've got the chance to get a car via the auction house or even backstage pass when the game starts winding down. Its no fun. It becomes a chore and you end up doing something else instead that is fun.

He calls it a boring by the numbers racing game- and I have to agree. The game feels cold and lacking in passion. The game takes itself too seriously whence the market is already full of serious racers and we don't really need another serious racer. The fun is lost in FM23.

They have made the game more "serious", I think, to distinguish it from FH5.

As for FOMO, I would settle for a 6 month timed exclusivity on events and cars, so you'd lose the monthly events (to encourage FOMO logins if they must do so and they're never going to change that) at the end of each month, but the Tour would be added to career permanently 6 months later, for those who miss out. But I think they're scared that people would stop playing if that happened.

Also, I don't think the Auction House will return, but I do think something like Backstage Pass will happen approaching end of life for FM23 - maybe there will be a way to earn a "pass" in the Weekly Challenges (which are just Forzathons with a different title anyway). There will also be repeats of previous tours, I believe. If they just abandon the game with dozens/hundreds of cars unavailable, they would rightly be "slaughtered" by players.
