I used the Apollo as Nacho suggested. I had a Koenigsegg RS I tried, but I should've learned my lesson trying to use them back in FH4.

I had almost forgotten that this car used to be present back in FM4:View attachment 1439240
This and/or some other hill climb specials would be a nice addition IMO, now that we're getting Fujimi Kaido back.
Honestly would like to see more Suzuki cars in the Forza franchise such as:
  • 2018 Suzuki Alto Lapin
  • 2016 Suzuki Alto Works
  • 1992 Suzuki Cappuccino
  • 2022 Suzuki Carry
  • 1996 Suzuki Escudo Pikes Peak
  • 1962 Suzuki Fronte
  • 2023 Suzuki Hustler
  • 2004 Suzuki Ignis Sport
  • 2012 Suzuki Jimny Sierra
  • 2022 Suzuki Jimny Sierra
  • 1985 Suzuki Mighty Boy
  • 2021 Suzuki Spacia Custom XS Turbo
  • 1996 Suzuki Swift GTI
  • 2007 Suzuki Swift Sport
  • 2022 Suzuki Swift Sport (my car with photo below)
  • 2005 Suzuki Swift Super 1600
  • 2008 Suzuki SX4 WRC
  • 1992 Suzuki Vitara JLX
  • 2022 Suzuki Wagon R Smile
  • 2017 Suzuki Xbee

Ohhh, the Swift Sport would be a hoot to drive! But I'm afraid it will have to be PGG that adds it first, as IIRC it's not sold in the US, where T10 sources most of its cars for referencing. Then again, with the likelihood of Horizon 6 being set in Japan being greater than zero, I'm feeling hopeful we may see it in a Forza game in the near future.

The Swift GTi would also be a good foil for the 205 Rallye. In general, we need more low-power hot hatches, both old and new!

These plus the Liana and the newer Ignis would be great to have

I've used the AMG One with full slicks and full weight reduction and convincingly won every race. The Countaventador ain't really fun to drive, much like in FH5.
I used that car too but, I tried the events while sticking to the rules of "Level Build Dominate". I had to stay under the car points limit and didn't level the AMG outside the event...

I placed 12th.

Similar to our rebalancing overhaul of the Forza Touring Cars in Update 17, we’re now happy to share a new Spec/BoP overhaul for both the Forza GT2 and Forza GT3 Series in Update 19.

As with the Forza Touring Car Series overhaul, all Forza GT2 and Forza GT3 Series cars were reverted to stock parts – except for tire width to normalize – and re-tuned with feedback from participants in our Forza Insiders Program.

With that in mind, the percentages seen below are in relation to the stock cars.

Look how they massacred my Porsches! Now the Martini 935 and Boss 924's iconic liveries are barely recognizable. (The community will prolly cook up some accurate liveries soon)

Sometimes I rather they not even add the car to the game if they can't include it's proper livery in full. That sucks so bad but I guess community liveries will be the next best thing.
This censorship's getting out of hand, especially to the #43 935/78. First, the SS stuff, now, removing the iconic colors related to an alcohol brand in a livery? If that were the case, part of the Ferrari 641's livery would have been inexistent (the blank Marlboro logo with Prost's name) in Forza since FM6.

Even Project Cars 3 did well with keeping faith in its liveries

Other than getting rid of all FOMO mechanics, the next prioritization is for Turn Ten to restore their default liveries in full.

However, the logos of alcohol and tobacco are perfectly understandable, that they would want to avoid these as much as possible.

Very solid update if you ask me :) And any update with a new modern GT3 race car and other race cars is a win. To me, the clear standout is the 961 which is a true unicorn

Also very good additions with the 924 GTP and the return of the 935/78 (now apparently as 2 different versions). I do think though that Porsche Motorsport Icons as the theme of this month should have included an iconic Porsche Le Mans winner like the 917K or 936 so that's a bit of a missed opportunity.

Anyway, can't wait to take these cars to the track :)

It was probably a choice between not releasing the car or missing out sponsors on the livery. Especially older cars there are probably a bunch of old sponsors which are simply not able to be licensed anymore.

The community will fix that within days.

I mean, you can recreate the liveries, it might not be the proper livery on the car, but if it's close enough then that should be fine, I see liveries with the Marlboro branding and they're still up, I mean the 961 is basically just the Rothmans livery without the Rothmans branding on it

Speaking of liveries, I recall seeing somewhere that T10 were working on a way to increase the limit of liveries and tunes. I hope i'm not wrong, that'd be nice for the community.

There are more important things to fix, FOMO, permanent featured tours...

But the liveries thing is starting to get a bit noticeable.

We all understand that they don't include tobacco or alcohol logos, (the 961 except the Rothmans logo is fine) but from there to make race cars without number, any sponsor (MX5, Ginetta) or directly remove it (KTM GT4, Altima Supercar) there is too much difference.

Hopefully the community will fix it, but Turn10 could put a little more effort into this aspect.

I hope so too. If this means @RPM Bibblefish (for example) could return to tuning I'd be very happy. I'd also love to see @PJTierney start releasing liveries again but given the limitations with the editor I unfortunately don't see that happening.

Drove all the cars and really digging the 961 and the 917/20 pink pig. All the cars sound good too although the Jaguar F type R does not have its raspy and popping exhaust like in real life, that could use some work again. But the AMG and GT350 are pretty spot on. GTX class needs to be broken up, it is getting a little crowded and needs subdivisions with the addition of the four Porsches within it.

I'm surprised they didn't add the Porsche RS Spyder LMP2. I thought that would certainly be in this update.

Lately I'm having trouble both launching the game and then quitting the game. Today it took 5 times before it launched. It would either crash out right during the headlight banner or it locked up on the warning page. If I want to quit and I hit ok, the game just locks right there. I have to go into task manager to shut the game down.

One of my biggest problems with the game is that when I select "fuel and tire" in preparation for practice it takes what feels like a couple of minutes to load up the telemetry and estimate how many laps a given amount of fuel will last, during which time the game freezes and I can't do anything except listen to the terrible music until it gives me back control again.

Agreed on RS Spyder. Besides that looks like a fantastic update leading up to hopefully more gameplay adjustments coming in May and beyond.

Also agreed on the big delay for certain cars to estimate the laps when adjusting fuel. I'm hoping thats something they can fix in the future.

I reinstalled in time to grab myself the 240Z and the Revuelto, so that was good timing. I also turned off sim steering and I'm feeling much happier with the experience on controller than I did before. All-in-all, it feels a lot more cohesive than it did when I last played it in early 2024. Heck, it didn't even have the Nordschleife then.

Porsche 935, my absolutely uncontrollable beloved...

Also hyped to see the Porsche 961 included, as it's a shockingly unknown Le Mans racer. Hopefully it makes for a solid rival to the IMSA Audi Quatto in GTX.
I'm posting this after a ton of trial and error with tuning and I hope that it can be useful for someone else as well. Especially since there's a whole lot of rear engined monsters coming our way next month.

I'm playing on a Thrustmaster TS-XW-wheel with all assists off and simulation steering, so for controller users this might feel different, but here we go:

Driving the Porsche 911 992 GT3 RS in last month's tour almost made me lose my sanity. The stock tune felt great except for the extremely vicious lift off oversteer. Now, I know you're not supposed to lift off mid corner in a rear engined car, but in some corners you have to. The carousel at Road America for example.

Having tried lots of different tunes I got extremely frustrated because I got either a very understeery car with no lift-off oversteer, OR a a car with good turn-in but lethal lift-off oversteer.

What finally gave me a somewhat driveable and balanced car was:

1. Having the front suspension just one "click" harder than the rear (both roll bars, suspension and dampers).
2. Reducing the caster all the way down.
3. Reducing the rear suspension roll center to between -5 and -25
4. Running the rear diff at 50% on throttle and 75%-95% on coasting.

After hours of tuning this was the only settings that made the 992 GT3 RS controllable.

I've found that some rear engined cars handle really good in FM '23 with excellent rotation off throttle, while still being controllable, while other have the problem described above. I haven't really found exactly what is causing this, but a theory is that it's for cars with less that 40% of the weight on the front (the GT3 RS's balance is 39/61 stock). Fully upgraded with slicks and race weight reduction (changes the balance to about (41/59) this behaviour is no longer present.

Anyway, sorry for the long rant. I hope that it can be useful for someone else. You're more than welcome to share any tuning tips for rear engined cars that you guys have 😊

I get that community liveries will be made to turn these cars into their exact counterparts, complete with the redacted sponsorships on their base liveries. But the base liveries are what I’m talking about.

Do that many people who care about these things actually use the base liveries? First thing I do when buying a new car is check out the community paints.

A little bit of a mixed bag. The 961 and 924 GTP are cool, great to have a 935 back (although I'm not sure we needed 2), Pink Pig isn't my first choice of 917 but it's cool I guess. Everyone will love the GT3 because somehow we aren't all sick of GT3 racing yet, and the 911 Turbo I couldn't care much less about. The Cayman GT4 is annoying since it's the road car, would have been the perfect chance to bring us the race car version since we desperately need GT4 cars.

I was really hoping for the 904 and 906, and I would have taken the 917/30 over the Pink Pig. I've also long wanted the 356 coupe to come over from Horizon, but since the '58 Alfa Giulietta Sprint didn't come over from FM7 to race it against and we already have the open top one, it's not really high priority.

Interesting to see the #43 935 is still screwed up compared to the MOMO one and has like 30mph lower top speed for no apparent reason. Wonder how it will impact the use of the car, some leagues might actually be able to use the #43's weird handicap as some kind of BoP, and for the GTX division spec lobbies they will need 2 BoPs for car instead of copy and pasting one for both.

I really hope they start ramping up features again soon and get back to a more normal track release schedule once they are done with the Fujimi Kaido update. I know we weren't expecting those things after their announcement back in January, but I feel like these several months of very little bugfixing and nothing feature-wise are starting to drag with a feeling of lack of progress for the game.

Somewhat in the spirit of "Porsche month" our league started our 944 Cup season tonight and I was able to get liveries finished up in time for it.

It has been kinda fun trying to make Porsche 962 liveries fit on the totally different shaped 944. My team is running a Bayside Racing 1989 IMSA season livery with my #65 car inverted to help differentiate teammates, I made a Dauer TicTac 962 inspired livery for another team, another vaguely inspired by Kremer Racing Kenwood 962, and an unfinished Gebhardt MOMO livery from the Mid-Ohio round of the 1989 IMSA season that I have almost ready as an extra for anyone too lazy to make their own livery.

I also made a Brumos inspired one with stripes made out of little 944 logos (kinda like that one year the GTLM car had the stripes made out of little 911 logos) for someone else.
