You haven't even played this game. It's hard to take anything you say seriously.

I bought myself a wheel, and built myself a timber cockpit sometime after FM4 was released, while I played through much of FM4 with a controller, I lost the will to play the game after trying it on a wheel, it just sucked. Instead, I bought a G27 and played GT5 instead, the wheel experience was night and day.

Fast forward to a couple years ago, I got back into sim-racing, living in a new country, I had long sold my old gear, but I bought myself a TM TMX 2nd hand which was already attached to a wheel stand. Can't say the experience was that much different to what I had on FM4 many years earlier, the wheel experience still sucked. I then bought AC, ACC, then moved my rig off my Series X into my old PC, which could only just run AC (AMD 7870 gfx card), and got sucked into what PC sim-racing had to offer.

With that all said, FM23 for me is a vastly better experience than FM4 (or FM7) ever was. What is the point of the stuff surrounding the simulation, if the simulation sucked in the first place. FM23 actually provides a sim-racing experience which is "close-enough" to the hardcore sim's, which is the first time that can be said for a FM.

On a side note, FM4 career was overwhelming, I can see why some people feel this is great, but it was just a chore to finish the game, I'm 100% happy with the length of the single player content in FM23, and while I think they missed the boat in terms of keeping the monthly tours permanent, I much prefer the length compared to previous entries, I found it provided a good balance to allow you to sink time into both single player content as well as multiplayer content, without feeling overwhelmed by one or the other.

Uhhh what the heck is that from? That can't possibly be from update 20, it can't be....🤔🤔😲
T10 mentions that they'll add a lot of highly requested cars on Update 20, so, the Furai's definitely one of them based on the votes in the forums. G56 NASCAR, the rest of the LMHs (I'm looking at you, 499P and 9X8) excluding the ARX-06, ID.R and the JGTC Supra wull be harder to license or are barely ready if scanned and worked on as of the time.

I also found out that it'll take over a hundred million credits to own all of the cars in FM23.

Taking into account the ownership of the VIP DLC which will double the credits you make from simply driving, it will pretty much take at least 4 months to purchase every car if you play for at least 5 hours a day, depending on your way of playing.

I normally grind the X-Class Rivals at Laguna Seca Short 2-3 times a day, and I get at least 250,000-300,000 credits per 1-1.5 hour run plus the Level Up credit rewards (for every 5 levels or so, usually 35,000 credits) and Rivals ranking bonus (Top 3-10% at least adds 40% of your base credits earned to the payout per Rivals run).

So, I ask. What are your credit farming routines?

They really need to give us more series based on the many divisions available in the game though imo. So many cars not being used each month. Sure you can try them in the open class series but you'll be racing against the same cars every time.
Totally agree. There are so many cool cars in the game that barely get used. It would be great to have more series focused on specific divisions to mix things up. Open class is fun, but it gets stale racing the same meta cars all the time.

Just noticed something odd.
Did a 10-lap race with a stock Shelby Cobra with x10 tyre wear but hardly had any.
But then did a 9-lap race with a stock Shelby Daytona with x9 tyre wear but had to make 2 pit stops.

Is it because the Cobra is considered a road car and the Daytona a race car?

I havent found credits to be a real issue, though I may just be desensitized to it by GT7's credit economy. I am sitting on around 18m (VIP) now from just naturally playing the game and not really feeling the pressure to start buying every single car. I take advantage of the weekly discounts and purchase cars when needed for events, and already I have made a nice collection from that. The fact that any driving activity I do in the game comes with a payout as well as the lower range of car prices compared to GT7 probably contributes to me not going out of my way to farm credits.

I think I have around 25m. I would like to get more Group C cars, the Mazda RX-7 GTX, and some more Porsches that I don't have. But I'm not looking to get cars just for the sake of having them. If I buy it it's because I want to use it. Most of my lower numbered cars are prize cars that once I got them I didn't really like them so I've just left them alone. Or it's something I had to buy for a challenge and then didn't return to it after the series was over.

The stock compound on one of the cars may have been Street whereas on the other it may have been Vintage Race. They have different wear rates and grip levels.

Yeah, I figured that but there's nothing to tell you that is the case, and it's kind of flawed given they're in the same division.
But then, the vintage Le Mans sport cars division is a bit of a mess.

Anyone who might have reached prestige level 1 (Total level 1,001) having the XP Bar always show as full? I can't really plan my next whole driver level race because of that. It shows as the progress bar being fully yellow no matter what the TNL ('Till next level xp) is.
I finally remembered to pay attention to this and I think it is the same for me, although I dont remember how it was supposed to look before.

There's an XP bar?! I hadn't noticed as I just play races and wait for the occasional notification at the end. It's car level I'm more concerned with.

I'm hoping that they add in the Auction House sooner or later. If they added that, that would touch on the last of my big complaints/things that should be in the game but aren't for some weird reason.
It's like they borrowed some stuff from Horizon (FOMO events and prize cars), but not the really good stuff, like the ability to create and share events with thumbnails.
