The Oldsmobile small block with the bore of a big block and cylinder walls as thin as you'd expect? That 403?

Edit: The Olds 403 had a bore of 4.351 inches. By comparison, the Buick 455 big block (the most oversquare of the 455s) had a bore of 4.310 inches.

Okay, yeah, that looks like fun. I have to imagine it'd be weird looking across that long nose while scrambling over rough terrain. Maybe even unnerving.

You can never go wrong with a J10. And I'll take the vintage Honda and Yamaha dirt bikes in the bed, too.

As for me, I've always loved the Jeep Forward Control.

1986 4Runner 4x4 was my first car. That appears to be an 87 or 88 because of the grille. But I loved that thing and I wish I never sold it.
My brother had an '87 nearly identical to that one many moons ago. Called it Moby Dick. Also frequently referred to it as the "4Skinner," which is where I picked that up. I'll never forget the sound of the four-banger and the gear whine of what I suspect was the transfer case.

I got my '86 because a guy brought it into my dad's auto repair shop and it needed a lot of work and the guy wasn't interested in fixing it. So my dad was like "my son just got his permit and is looking for a car". So I had $1500 saved up and bought it and we fixed all the issues. Of course a 16 year old kid beat that thing hard but it took everything I threw at it and I drove it until I was early 20s and sold it to a friend who was moving to Oklahoma. Wish I never did that. It was white just like the one in the pic and the body was straight. We live in Southern California so no rust or anything. Had Outlaw II wheels on it and 32's after an add a leaf and cranking up the torsion bars a little bit for front clearance.

Twenty-something me hated stripes like that back in the day, but now I love them unironically. Also, it is me, or does that hood appear to have been pushed in a bit? Anyway, have another J60 with some period-perfect stripes.

Stinkbug stance. It may have shackles on the rear to get the butt up in the air, but that's likely the only thing it has in common with something lifted and the front appears to be standard height. Can't tell from the picture, but I'd wager it has slapper bars under the axle as well.
