FP_FRS Week 1: Ease Into It

Best time so far is a 1:04.969. There's definitely more in there if I can be patient enough knowing this thing understeers like a pig.

See, part of me wishes we were allowed to adjust the tire pressures. It is something we can all change on our real cars and the only adjustable part for most stock cars.

That being said, the Lambo that we drove for the qualifier had TONS of parts that could adjust while still remaining in "stock" form. I will go along with the rules but I feel like if the stock car has adjustable parts, then we should be able to adjust them.

If we drive in expert mode we should be able to tune the cars to fit our driving preferences if that allows.

Tire pressure adjustments are not allowed, and while it's possible you may have something of an advantage, it does not change the game.

So get out there and go faster.

Yes I submitted a qualifying run a back when it first opened up. I submitted via the link and did not get any errors so I took it that you had received this.
Let me know if there is an issue as I still have the replay saved on my xbox. I never heard from anyone yet to submit the replay so I just held on to it.

If you can put that you use a controller in your sig line, that'd be great. I use that for the FRS weekly leaderboard.

Unless you are finished racing for the week MeltingBrains, you can just post your current time here in the thread and I'll add it to the weekly leaderboard. Then as you beat your time throughout the week, I'll update your time with everyone else's. Also, if you are done, you can still post your time here so others know what your time is...that is if you want them to know

Two sessions of over 10 laps got me a 1:04.559.

I need to get down the last hairpin and the sweepers leading into it but other than that I feel pretty good.

Okay looks like I am the first to break into the 1:03 range. I have a 1:03.953 now and I did it with only 4 laps on the replay. So now no one has to watch my last time with 16 laps on it. I think there is still another tenth or two left to go but not sure if I can do it or not.

Having some fun for this one.

Actually, my 1:04.022 was on the 3rd lap of my first try and I saved the replay right after it. I did two more sessions of 10 laps and I couldn't better it afterwards. Maybe I was too tired

So two more 10+ lap sessions and I am still left with a 1:04.491. I know there is improvement there somewhere but I cant put them down consecutively.

Its not bugging me because I feel like I have a respectable time, I just want to get closer to an even 1:04.

We are waiting for the next FM4 update (could be some big changes?) to release before we do the results of the qualifier. Hopefully that will be soon?

Okay Siggesvag and Melting Brains you guys are killing me. I had the day off work and ran a few laps this morning but I did not have any luck improving my time. I spent the day working my dually, wrapped rotor on the back, just to come in from a hard day to find you guys have knocked me out of the top slot. I am not sure I can improve any more but sure going to give it a go. Not sure how it will go tonight as I have already had a couple of rum and cokes.

Jump_Ace, I know you are taking our times from this forum and posting to the leader board, but I am taking we still have to post an offical time on the link you have before closeing time. Is this correct? I want to make sure I do not miss out posting for this week. This is the first time I have ever held the top spot in any comp so I was very happy even though it did not last long.

Are all the cars in this competition going to be stock?

I ask because, except for race cars, I don't like to drive stock cars. I tune all my cars so that is what I am used to.

Sounds like fun though. Reminds me of the Dirt races we had with Will.
